    Does anyone know how to access the event on a Curve 9380 log. The tip on the storm had to choose to see the keyboard of the screen Home Menu and type, 5.5 or ' / ' / or set the convenience key to display a virtual keyboard and do the same thing.

    BUT the former option is not there on the BlackBerry Curve 9380 and this last option does not work!

    ... and so I'm asking, what amounts to a reboot ALT Shift right led on the same device (or a BlackBerry screen besides only touch).  I could probably Google this one but added here while I was home.

    Welcome on the support forums.

    to my knowledge, it has been without this release.

    You can write to [email protected] to ask them if they maybe want to share code. or, if you know who was responsible for this you can try to contact them directly.

    Maybe some fun code to see, I guess, but I don't know if it would be very useful

  • Interactive GaugeField on the BlackBerry Storm

    I just tried to create a modifiable on my BlackBerry Storm GaugeField, I used the constant can be CHANGED and made sure that there is enough space to select. It does not work, an interactive GaugeField only works on devices touch non-ecran?

    If so someone changed the GaugeField so it will work on a touchscreen device?

    Otherwise what could I do it wrong?

    I realized thinking about how it would be possible to make this is interactive and realized that as a last before amending the TouchEvent code should try to make the active gauge because it does not seem to focus. Added Field.FOCUSABLE and it worked.

    Thanks Peter_Strange,

    I tried your solutions, but could not get to work. Finally I solved the problem with the help of PhoneScreen sample application available for download from the BlackBerry site.

    Although, I would like to add that the solutions you suggested work for a normal screen, but I couldn't make them work with the incoming call screen.

  • Problem on Blackberry storm 9530

    In Blackberry storm 9530 I'm having a problem with the hover or pointer. The application works fine in the old versions, 8800 and 9000 but storm buttons (Tourch screen), scrolling not working properly? When I'm howering buttons it wont light up to let me down? I spent about 2 hours to do just right and he can press the button. Is there another method for touchscreens or? Any suggestion?

    Thank you.

    I did not much storm developing applications (only app specifically for the camera), so I'm sure others will be involved better.  But you might find follows her useful.

    You found that the Simulator is not a perfect tool to test touchscreen Storm, the biggest problem for me is the size of a finger.  What is easy to select with a mouse is impossible for large fingers.  For example, you will notice that the menu items and Options screen are actually double spacing.  You must do this to make sure that the fingers can select the line that they want.  You must do the same thing with the buttons to make sure that they can be chosen.

    What I would do is, take a screenshot of your application, reduce it in size to the size of the screen of the Storm (about 2 "* 2 3/4") and try to work with your fingers.  You should also consider the use of the keyboard, in my opinion, it's a pain on the storm, even in landscape format.  And when you use it, you lose half of the screen.

    I also assume that you have compiled the JDE 4.7 so that your application does not run in compatibility mode.

    I have a secondary question in this buttons seem not to be vague about the question to know if they work.  This is me did not cause a problem.  I've always avoided using buttons on the applications, because they offered few features on the use of the menu items for devices not touchscreen, and they reduce the size of the screen.  I'll have to come back for the storm, but in my tests with buttons, I found that to really get a button works, you have to touch it, then press it.  Even in this case, it did not all the time.  I thought it was just me, so had not studied.  If that's what your users see, so they are not alone.

    Finally, a large number of storms at the beginning are delivered with an early OS which in my opinion is not so great.  If you have a pre-release version (expiring in 65), then I think that the General recommendation is to upgrade.

  • BlackBerry Storm aided GPS tracking and cell-site

    I had a standalone GPS to work with http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=java_dev&thread.id=11845

    I have questions about assisted GPS and the location of the cell site.

    What I read online, assisted GPS is not available by a third party (non-Verizon) software. Is this true? What cell-site location?

    I need to get assisted GPS and / or cell-site work as standalone GPS does not quite seem to work inside most of the buildings.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    The BlackBerry Storm supports the cell site, assisted and autonomous GPS modes.

    However, Verizon does not support cell site mode and requires a developer to make part of the Verizon developer program to use the assisted mode.

    I signed the application with the signature keys provided by RIM, and btw it indicates that the signature is optional. So why couldn't start the application? I'm quite lost here.

    Thank you

    OpenGL ES is supported only on the 9520 9550 and 9650 (not yet published). The 9500 does not support OpenGL ES and receive an error if you try to do.

    That's why it says "cannot reference javax.microedition.khronos.egl.EGL11" because it does not exist.

  • Alarm and its volume control - Blackberry Storm

    Hi people,

    is another question, possible to give the alert by programming with volume the max value for blackberry storm? If so, then could someone please provide information on how to do it?

    Thank you in advance for a ton

    Take a look at the Alert class, http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/4.7.0api/index.html

    You can use the following methods:

    setVolume (int volume) - to adjust the volume

    startAudio (short [] height, int volume) - audio playback

    startVibrate (int duration) - to begin to vibrate

  • How update you an application installed with the Blackberry Storm update .cod files?

    Hello

    I was sent to some application software for my Blackberry Storm 9500. I managed to install the basic software using the BB Desktop Manager normal software, however, there are four files as sitting there, that look they are there to install, update the software - records are different on different BlackBerry names "4.2.1", "4.3", "4.5" and "4.6" - my knowledge limited, I think that this refers to operating systems...

    I guess I would need to install the file 4.6 .cod file, however, I just can't handle it all. The Director of the office, I can only try to update o/s handset, but I can't actually update individual applications that I see!

    Can someone tell how to do this, because he's completely beat me? Be nice... I'm new!

    the alx file is only a link to the file of the Cod. DM load the alx file, search for information on the cod and load the cod on the device.
    In cod, it has compiled software.

    Installation of OTA is similar. The jad file contains settings and links to the cod file.

    The javaloader.exe (comes with the JDE) you can install cod files directly.

    There is also an activeX plugin (which uses javaloader) to load the cod files on a device.

  • How do I get the screen width and size of the screen of the Blackberry storm?

    Hi guys,.

    I use the following code for the image capture.

    Bitmap bitmap = new Bitmap (Display.getWidth (), Display.getHeight ());

    try {}

    Display.screenshot (aBitmap);

    }

    In 4.3.0 (8120 device), when we use Display.getWidth () and Display.getHeight () it gives 240 x 320 respectively which has the correct size of the device.

    But in 4.7.0 Blackberry storm, when we use it gives data(240x320) even where the size of the device screen real is 360 x 480.

    So when we capture the image in the storm he's only half of the image. And also when hard code us the image like it from 360 x 480 size is thrown exception.

    Please suggest is there a way to capture full screen.

    Thank you

    Thanks for sharing the result. You can mark the thread as solved.
