Example: HP laptop 15 TS: disable the cursor pointing

Hi all. new here, so I hope I'm in the right place. I'm having no end of trouble with my 6 month old HP 15 TS Notebook PC, running Windows 10, although this happened the 8.1 win also.  This thing "hover cursor" is driving me crazy! How the hell can I disable it? I looked into the area of easy access, and it is unchecked in the little box and was not good from the start. Not sure if this is related, but sometimes simply move the curor did all sorts of weird things. Zoom window Exchange and video screens ranging from full screen to the default size. of course, it sometimes becomes very frustrating. Not a good option at all, in my opinion.  Thanks for your time.  Rick

Hello @Rick1953,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question on your HP laptop and the mouse works do not correctly with the hover option. Here is a document on how to troubleshoot the mouse and Touchpad sensitivities.

I fixed that by going to the tab in Advanced in the mouse properties, it has more settings.
Advanced SmartSense - settings of interference of the Palm on the touchpad and filters and put them to a minimum.

Hope that solves your problem with the mouse.

Thank you.

    The pen tool or brush tool?

    Brush tool: double-click the button tool brush itself in the toolbar.  Adjust the settings accordingly. (more precisely "keep selected")

    Pen tool: no chance.  Press the command key to toggle the last used selection tool, and then click a place to deselect.  Or press command-shift-a to deselect everything.

  • HP 15 laptop: computer laptop Hp 15 - disable the loading of the battery

    Is it possible to disable the battery in charge mode on my Hp 15 laptop when using as desktop?

    Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

    If your phone has a removable battery, just remove the battery and connect the AC adapter to use the laptop as a desktop computer.

    Most people, including me, leave the battery in place.  As long as you use the laptop as a mobile device from time to time and leave completely load and unload periodically, the battery will be fine. Used in this way, the battery should last two or three years or more.

  • PF_PUI_DISABLED does not disable the cursor to Setup

    Newbie question, which I hope to have a response from simpel :-)

    When I place my cursor I can't disable it by default in ParamsSetup:

    PF_ADD_FLOAT_SLIDERX ( ) "Report of appearance customized"

    1, // min

    5, // max

    1, / / slider min

    5, / / max slider

    1, / / default

    PF_Precision_HUNDREDTHS ,

    PF_PUI_DISABLED , //This does nothing, it is always visible

    CUSTOM_ASPECT_DISK_ID );

    The PF_PUI_DISABLED flag does not, disable other settings do what they are supposed to. I can turn it on events in ParamChange:

    AEGP_SuiteHandler suites (in_data-> pica_basicP); Assistance //Call suites (this should be done outside of the if-else?)

    Download the selected format

    FORMAT = format (FORMAT) (params[FIRST_STRETCHFORMAT]-> u.pd.value - 1);

    PF_ParamDef aspectParam = * (params[FIRST_CUSTOM_ASPECT]);

    if (format == FORMAT:CUSTOM( )

    aspectParam.ui_flags & = ~ PF_PUI_DISABLED ;

    on the other

    aspectParam.ui_flags | = PF_PUI_DISABLED ;

    ERR (suites. ParamUtilsSuite3()-> PF_UpdateParamUI (in_data-> effect_ref, FIRST_CUSTOM_ASPECT, & aspectParam));

    I have somehow the feeling, that the flag to disable should be set another way at the start rather than in the definition of the cursor.

    Help is greatly appreciated :-)

    Well, you can try this macro code:

    #define PF_ADD_FLOAT_SLIDERXX (NAME, VALID_MIN, VALID_MAX, SLIDER_MIN, SLIDER_MAX, LTVDS, PREC, DISP, FLAGS, UI_FLAGS, ID).

    {\

    AEFX_CLR_STRUCT (def); \

    PF_Err priv_err = PF_Err_NONE; \

    def.param_type = PF_Param_FLOAT_SLIDER; \

    PF_STRCPY (def.name (NAME)); \

    def. Flags = (FLAGS); \

    def.ui_flags = (UI_FLAGS); \

    def.u.fs_d.valid_min = (VALID_MIN); \

    def.u.fs_d.slider_min = (SLIDER_MIN); \

    def.u.fs_d.valid_max = (VALID_MAX); \

    def.u.fs_d.slider_max = (SLIDER_MAX); \

    def.u.fs_d.value = (LTVDS); \

    def.u.fs_d.dephault = (PF_FpShort) (def.u.fs_d.value); \

    def.u.fs_d.precision = (PREC); \

    def.u.fs_d.display_flags = (DISP); \

    def.u.fs_d.fs_flags = (WANT_PHASE)? PF_FSliderFlag_WANT_PHASE: 0; \

    def.u.fs_d.curve_tolerance = AEFX_AUDIO_DEFAULT_CURVE_TOLERANCE; \

    def.uu.ID = (ID); \

    If ((priv_err = PF_ADD_PARAM (in_data,-1, & def))! = PF_Err_NONE) return priv_err; \

    } while (0)

    And then add the parameter as follows:

    PF_ADD_FLOAT_SLIDERXX ('custom Aspect Ratio',

    1, / / min

    5, / / max

    1, / / slider min

    5, / / max slider

    1, / / default

    PF_Precision_HUNDREDTHS, / / precision

    0, / / display indicators

    0, / / general flags

    PF_PUI_DISABLED, //UI flags

    CUSTOM_ASPECT_DISK_ID / / ID

    );

  • How to disable the current point when validate trigger

    Hi all
    I want to disable the current text point when validate trigger.

    Generally, we rely on WHEN-VALIDATE when the cursor leaves a field. In this case, because the cursor leaves the ground, why are you trying to turn it off at this point? The other time would be during the validation process. In this case, you should be able to disable during the WE-COMMIT or in a VALIDATION KEY.

    I guess if we understood better what you want to accomplish and why you want to do, we could offer something more useful.

  • In the example LabVIEW Full featured, which makes the entry point button reappear?

    My question is this: what piece of LV code or invoke the node for the TS engine makes the entry Point button reappear when loading a file of sequence?

    Background:

    I inherited a modified version of Full Featured LabVIEW UI, which has been moderately modified (enough so this restart is not really an option, but it is still quite similar to use as comparisons for behaviors).  In addition, this code was started in LV2012/TS2012 and I'm migrating to LV2013/TS2013, but this behavior is consistent in both versions.

    Here is what I tried:
    I have found that when the command connect runs (see attachment), the button which is a TSUI. IButton control, SEAO is grayed out or hidden.  In the unmodified example user interface provided with TestStand, button is again displayed when loading a file of sequence.  The problem is that when I load a movie file in my code and click it before the race, the button does not reappear. In my code, I can run the sequence successfully by right click on the movie file and selecting run, so I don't think the sequence has an error, or the process model.

    Thanks in advance,

    Seth

    Seth,

    The entry 'options' of the ConnectCommand function controls this. On help page for this entry, you can see that there are options for "ignore enable" and "ignore visible." Or any of them may affect the functionality of the key entry point. You could try to make the options for both keys 0 and see if that fixes the problem. If this isn't the case, please let us know.

  • How can I change the size of the cursor, pointer-bar?

    I am running 8.1 Windows on a PC. I updated to the latest InDesign through the creative center of cloud. Everything works perfectly except for the fact that my pointer/cursor-bar is huge. At least three or four times higher than normal. I looked at the section Preferences > interface and then all sections in preferences, but can't seem to find the topic anywhere. No other program I use has changed the size of the cursor or the size of the bar I. It only happens in the InDesign program. I also use Photoshop Elements, but the size of the cursor is unchanged. InDesign is the only culprit. The size of bar I is stressing out me, especially when the entry or modification of the text. Help!

    This has been discussed before

  • Is it possible to hide the sidebar in the same way that "full screen" hides the menu bar, which is the remains of the sidebar hidden until the cursor points to the location of the sidebar? Thank you very much.

    I have no problem as such, just the question above.

    In my view, there are extensions, but you can use the keyboard shortcuts

    "Ctrl + B" to toggle the sidebar bookmarks in/out or replace a different sidebar
    "Ctrl + H" to toggle the sidebar history entry/exit or replace a different sidebar
  • Laptop screen orientation from landscape to A4, I moved the cursor on the screen. Laptop computer now starts in A4 direction too. Help!

    Note: I use my old desktop PC (Windows XP) for you to explain the problem with my laptop (Windows 7).

    Problem:

    The last thing I did on my laptop did was move the cursor when, suddenly, the screen image went from landscape (which is the normal display) to A4 (i.e. through 90 degrees).  I must add that due to a health problem I lost some feeling in my hands a fingers which does not help when I press the button and move the slider. Therefore, it is more likely that I inadvertently changed the orientation of the screen somehow.

    There was no notice given on the screen to change.

    I shut down the computer, waited a few minutes and started again.  The orientation of the wrong screen reappears.

    As I am not a COMPUTER buff, by any stretch of the imagination, I don't know how to provide you with a screenshot if you need.

    Thanks for any help you can give,

    Derek

    Press Ctrl & Alt keys and use the arrows to rotate back.

    According to the graphics card on your computer, these can be alternatives.

    Right click on the desktop | Graphics options | Rotation.

  • Z930 protected - will not disable the Touchpad

    Hello world

    Thanks in advance for your help. I have a laptop Toshiba protégé Z930.
    The button above the Tablet (built in mouse on the laptop) which usually disables the touchpad no longer works.

    This is why I can not disable the touchpad. Also function F9 or turn off the touchpad.
    This makes me think that it's a software problem. I updated the driver, and nothing has changed.

    Someone knows how to fix this?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    Could you give more details about your problem?

    For example: what Windows system do you use?
    Other FN keys work correctly?
    This driver updated you exactly?

    Have you tried to reinstall the Package added on the value of the Toshiba (for Win 7)?
    This package contains a few pilots required and tools that control different functions for laptop.
    So next to the touchpad driver installation, this package should be installed / updated also.
