HP Omni 10 no sound

I recently bought a HP Omni 10, produced no F4W57EA #ABU, tablet with Windows 8,132 bits. Since yesterday, there has been no sound through speakers or headphones. I checked the Device Manager and I have installed audio device Intel ESS (WDM) and 12 s of Realtek Audio Codec. Device Manager reports that they all work ok two.

I checked the volume, and this is the max.  Something should reinstall or is this a hardware problem?

I understand that the sound no longer works on your Tablet Omni. I will do my best to help you. First of all, you can try a system restore. You can return the computer to a date before the problem appeared, and it can then return the sound. For more information on how to proceed, please see this site: System Restore

If this does not help, then the suggestions in this document should: no sound from speakers (Windows 8)

Then I would reinstall you the operating system. It will clarify all software conflict and allow you to start over. If the problem is related to the software, it will be resolved.

    My HP Omni is silent.  Absolutely no noise.  I've tried everything.  I went to device update/uninstall Manager audio drivers without success.  I tried a system restore and even tried to reinstall Windows 10.  I guess my audio player is Intel ESS Audio Device (when I hover my mouse over the sound on the task bar icon, which appears).

  • HP Omni 200 PC: Windows 10 Realtek no sound

    Update Windows Windows 7 10.  My configured desktop with the function driver Realtek (r) High Definition Audio Realtek 8136/8168/8169 NDIS driver 64 bits 6.40 - Realtek - 9.001.0401.2015.

    After update I can't hear sounds.  Tried to update driver etc. but will have no success.

    Does anyone have a solution?

    Hi Jeff, Alan; all.  My sound system, I am pleased to say is resolved.  I can hear sounds from my internal speakers and my helmet now.  I don't know why yet.  After the previous update, I wrote that I checked the updates of Windows and the process of updating my OS with KB3081448 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3081448). This is a rollup update and seems to have a large number of corrections.  I looked and didn't see anything specific to sound in any fix, but I may have missed.  Anyway after restarting my computer sound works fine.

    The current driver that I use is the Realtek driver (0006-64bit_Win7_Win8_Win81_Win10_R279).  I downloaded this from http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1 & PNid = 24 & PFid = 24 & Level = 4 & Conn = 3 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false.

  • HP 27 1200 Omni: Game Mode does not work on Windows 10

    I just installed Windows on my Omni 10.

    Unfortunately, the game (and TV) mode no longer works!

    In other words, when pushing the nutton game mode, the screen Windows and sound/app continues to operate and on the screen, while there is no mouse or keyboard or remote control possible entry!

    When you press the button mode of the game again, the system returns to windows 10.

    I would not go back to windows 8.1, so hopefully this is a known issue with the right solution!

  • Omni Tablet LED stays on

    When I close my Tablet 10 Omni, usually light near the front facing camera turns on for about 1 second and then turns off. More often than otherwise, I'm having a problem where LED light stays and the only way to get it to turn off is to hold down the button of physical power for about 10 seconds. Any ideas? Do I have a defective unit and if so, what should I do? This seems to happen most often when I close the workstation when I Metro station interface although it happens with both so I can't seem to find one any correlation.

    Hi rlf54. When the led lights up and stays on it's after a session using the web camera? In general the LED should illuminate to indicate the web cam is on. The issue you described sounds like a closure for me problem and not a problem of LED. The LED does not turn off is maybe false.

    I suggest first to solve the halting problem. The first thing you should try is to disable the quick start. This will disable to turn hybrid Shutdown. Find the instructions to activate the quick start here: Quick start - turn on or off in Windows 8

    Then try to recreate the issue. Let me know the results.

  • Audio Omni 10 HDMI problem

    My Omni 10 HDMI was working fine until I sent to HP to have the touch screen repaired.  They re-installed or updated all the operating system and drivers, so I have all the latest software.  Audio HDMI fake now after a few minutes (streaming of Netflix or NBA games).  I can unplug the HDMI cable or restart streaming, it would work for a few minutes and then again distort.  Same configuration used to work before.

    When I got the Tablet back, audio was weak.  I brought to the MS store, they may be installed DD Realtek Audio Manager, not sure, but they set up something and the sound was OK.  Unfortunately I checked the audio headphones so only, did not HDMI so far.

    Appreciate any help I can get.

    audio driver has nothing to do with the sound on your hdmi, his treatise by a video driver.

    I understand that after your wife 5 iPhone update and your iPhone 6 the new iOS, you both know questions in regards the phone doesn't ring do not or may not alert you to the alert notifications when you receive a message. I use my iPhone all the time and I count on the possibility of having my phone alert me for incoming calls and messages. We'll see what we can do.

    The first thing I want you to do is to restart the two iPhones. Make sure that your wife's iPhone has the ring/silent switch on mute.

  • Why can't add sounds to mail to Sierra

    After the upgrade to Sierra, I would add is no longer a 'personal' sound of my files to act as my 'new message '. The sound folder is locked and I have, even as an administrator, can't unlock it or add sounds in the folder.  All I have now is a drop-down list of predetermined choice of Apple, and none of these things include the addition of new sounds.  Preference once gave me the choice to go to my files, I have more choice. Can someone tell me how to add my own sounds?

    The alarm makes more no noise. I updated my phone a few days ago and initially, it worked, but now when the alarm "goes off" there is no sound. The volume is on and more strong, the phone rings when someone calls and other notifications make noise, but not alarm.     The red light of the headset jack means the MacBook Pro thinking that an optical audio cable is plugged into the port. Try to have disconnected and reconnected a headphone plug into the port several times. There is a tiny sensor inside the port that determines if the port is operating in analog or optical mode. Something similar by plugging should trigger the sensor and restore the analog signal.

    If you don't feel capable in doing so the folks at Apple Genius Bar will be able to help.

    After updating my iPhone 6 to 10.0.2 has changed the sound quality of the voice of the people at the other end. It does not resemble a normal call.     There is nothing in the iOS 10.0.2 update that change any settings on the voice quality, nor is there yet a setting to change.

    Try to reset the phone, or if it does not, try a restore.

  • New Audio USB Interface lose sound on El Capitan

    Hi all!

    A few weeks ago that I upgraded my MacBook Pro retina 15 "end 2013 to El Capitan, after that my USB Audio Interfaces (Focusrite Scarlett 2i4) and Safire 6 USB stopped working properly. Both work correctly when they are connected to an iMac 5K running the same operating system.

    I can listen to Audio for some time (about 10-2 Minutes, it is always different), when the Audio starts to crush und get outs, after a certain time there is only silence "click on" come out of the speakers.

    I already tried to reinstall OS X (starting with CMD R and reinstall OS), reset PRAM and SMC. Nothing has changed the question. Any ideas where it comes from?

    It is most likely a software conflict. Note the time at which audio is running out. Open the Console and look for accidents or mistakes at this time.

    The reason why it crashes on a mac, but not the others most likely is related to differences in software installed. Run Etrecheck on touch mac and post the report here.
