Excel does not recognize this file format
I've been using excel (Office: mac 2011) for some time. All of a sudden excel opens. I'm getting different error messages such as: "Excel does not recognize this file format" and "There is a problem with the database of the Office". I use OS X EL Capitan 10.11.3 version with my iMac. I tried to uninstall Office: mac & reinstall it with the disk. He re - installs OK but won't open without error message... The rest of the Apps, for example. "Word, Powerpoint open OK. The problem is only with excel. Someone had a similar problem?

Looking for smart people to tell me the secret to get my photoshop to life. I have no am able to work and am actually dead in the water.
Adobe Bridge: "the operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient permissions."
Photoshop: "could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file." when opening CR2.
Using photoshop 14.2.1.X 64 CC
Bridge 6.1.1. 10
Mac OS X 10.7.5
16 gb 1333 MHz DDR3
Intel Core i5 at 2.7 GHz
Does anyone have an idea? Thank you!
The answer to your question depends entirely on what camera Canon photo come from your CR2 files.
CR2 is the file used by Canon Camera Raw owner format. CR2 files are different for each camera model which is Canon. As a result, Adobe has update the mounting bracket in the Camera Raw plugin whenever camera manufacturers release a new model of camera.
Different versions of Camera Raw are supported by different versions of Photoshop.
Cameras supported are listed here by Adobe

PS does not open when file double-clicked from the bridge, still, if I drag-and-drop from the bridge, files are opened normally. All files have the extension ".tif". WHY is this happening?
Hi all, I found the problem which has been much easier to fix that remove your App preferences. Seems that there is conflict when you run two HDs in the machine which have the same "Volume UUID. There is a problem running on Western Digital portable HDs. Remove one of the two contradictory HDs and problem solved.
Don't forget, when you delete the preferences of the application file you also REMOVE ALL YOUR ACTIONS!
Makes me wonder why the expert didn't know any of this.

Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this file type
Trying to open a file 'old' Tiff (from 2003 if it matters).
What could cause this problem? I need to resize, etc. open.
OK, so I reopened it in preview and its backed up opening just fine and when I tried to save it as a JPEG and then I saved as TIFF and it opened fine in photoshop then maybe change in preferences for the Finder (to be opened with Photoshop) created some incompatibility or actually file to JPEG masquerade in tiff format. hate it when that happens.

New PC with Windows 7. Photos taken before the new PC either cannot be a spectator, or can be displayed but are in the right folder with the incorrect file names (e.g. cat photo is labeled as DOG)
In my case, when I plugged in my phone on my desk, it prompted me to update the software to communicate better with my phone. Immediately after completing the update was when I lost the ability to open images in Photo Viewer.
To solve the problem, I went to control panel, and then uninstall a program and then uninstalled the newest program associated with my phone. It was easy since I knew exactly when he started to act up. Some of you may need some trial and error to find the problem.

How can I convert .ai files in jpeg format? It seems that I am only able to get the .ai files and my Adobe Photo Elements program does not recognize the file.
I want to continue my membership with Adobe, however, not if it requires some additional software purchase.
For .ai files, you will need to use or know someone who uses Illustrator or another program compatible .ai to convert. If you access a page of image details before license you can see the file type.

I am trying to create layers with a JPEG originally published in LR6. I converted the JPEG in a TIF format for my PES 11. PSE does not recognize the file for purposes of superposition; None of the routes command works. Just to see if PES was grateful the file at all, I tried to turn the file. Fortunately, he rotates the photo and turned it back. Why the program allow me to create layers?
You click on Expert in pse before trying to add layers?
Or it is possible that the image is 16-bit/channel.
In photoshop elements go to Image > Mode and click on 8-bit/channel and see if that makes a difference.

Win 7 does not recognize the file type for the installation of the theme.
Original title: download and install desktop theme
I would like to install the panoramic snow theme but shows like PanoramicSnow.deskthemepack file extension. Win7 does not recognize the file type for the installation due to the addition of the "office" in the extension. would it be possible to have that corrected please? Thank you!
Hello PMacCk,
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.Basically, the .deskthemepack extension is not recognized by Windows 7 because it is introduced in Windows 8. The new "panoramic" desktop themes all use this format. For reference, please see:There are still regularly .themepack themes available and those who continue to work in Windows 7 and Windows 8. Please visit the following link to download and install the themes:ThemesHope this information is useful. -
5 LR does not recognize RAW files
So I don't use LR 5 no problem for 6 months and you have imported Sony, Fuji and Canon RAW files without problem.Today it does not recognize RAW files more. View the new photos in the library module, I see "Preview not available for this file.
Then, when I try to import "this file is not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom.
I have the latest version (5.7.1) and it is CR2 (Canon RAW), I'm trying to import from a 760D which is apparently supported
I'm on a PC, Windows 8
Hi mudmonkey5,
Canon D 760 support has been added in Lightroom 6.0 and I think that's the reason of not being able to import images into Lightroom 5.7.1
You can see this article which States you need to version 6.0 of Lightroom and Camera Raw 9.0 for these raw files: supported by Camera Raw devices
Or, you can use the free DNG Converter to convert the images in DNG and then, how to import them into Lightroom 5.

Lightroom gives you a message that it does not support the file format. I'm shooting raw in a Nikon d5500 has been added.
This device requires Lightroom 6.0 or newer. What version of Lightroom do you use?
