Excel truncating zeros when I read a spreadsheet

I have a problem where when I read an Excel spreadsheet cells the trailing zeros are truncated.  Values in Excel are digital and I read them as strings because of the manipulation of data, I want to perform.  The program is generic and is designed to work on any number of different formats, so I can not just use of format specifiers.  If the Excel est.9210 property retourne.921 node field value

I have included a picture of my code that reads the data range.  I would be grateful for any help or suggestion.

  • Is there a file size limit when using read the spreadsheet file?

I'm reading in a large file, approximately 52 MB, 525600 lines with 27 fileds in each line using "Read SpreadsheetFile.vi". I then explore table 2D-999, which represents bad/no data in this area and the total number of fields with-999 in there. All works on 3 months ' worth of data. The program is giving me a memory error output and stopping in case reading takes place on the file of the year a large. So my question is that the reading of the spreadsheet file has size limitations? Is there a better way to do it? Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Excel crashing, freezing when using the spreadsheet

Original title: Excel 2013 file size.

Hello. I'm having a problem with Excel crashing, freezing when using the spreadsheet. I work on a PC with WINDOWS 7 SP1 64-bit, through a server that is running Microsoft SERVER 2013, WINDOWS 7 PRO 64 BIT SP1. We use 5 PC via all current server running the same version of operating system that use the spreadsheet and in most is used only by 3 PCs anywhere, anytime, even if EXCEL is not on the server, it is running locally on the PC.

My guy TI tell me the spreadsheet while working on too big to 2 k! They keep asking us to reduce the size and to separate the workbook to solve the problem. Personally I don't believe a Word, we do not use formulas etc just cells with digital text and the alphabet.

Now last year on the advice of our computer SCIENCE company, we have been advised to upgrade our server and our PC because terminals that they were getting their limit of operation which I accepted. These have been updates middle of last year.

On this basis, I believe that society COMPUTER trying to throw dust on my eyes as I do not think that they provided the wrong material and are unwilling to admit it.

Counsel on the question worksheet would be great I need to come back with some kind of evidence in support of my way of thinking.

I hope that makes sense, I know a little but not professional!

  • Visa erroneous zero byte in reading series

    Hi all

Trying to debug a problem that I have with a Labview2011 VI and the USB-485/2 device.

The installer has been simplified to get the wire from port 1 to port 2 in a 2wire-auto configuration. As described here:
    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/D5CC369B3E3E6F0586256D1600563245

    and here:
    https://decibel.NI.com/content/docs/doc-4169

Port 1 sends a message of 8 bytes by using visa / writing then begins a visa-reading of 8 bytes. (timed content in a loop of 10 Hz)

Port 2 is configured in a single loop using the wait for event visa byte, then visa-read 8 bytes, connected directly to visa / entry.

For 1 Port data transmitted, the data received and read visa error code are recorded on the disc.

The success of installation passes are receives data without loss... so the back loop work...

However! Occasionally, another zero byte is read from visa-reading the port1.

Almost all the code read visa back operations "1073676294" port 1 (the number of bytes transferred is equal to the number of entries requested. More data may be available) which is very good. Even if sometimes the error code '0' is back (operation completed successfully). This "0" code seems to be associated with the extra byte in the receiver.

This causes a problem because it throws the mismatch scheduled application command/response pairs.

I tried many tariffs buad, visa-read timeouts and transmit frequencies, the problem remains. Adding a visa-flush buffer prevents the error from reproducing, but won't stop him intervened and upsetting the logic of command/response.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you send real binary data (which it looks like you are), you should have the off stop character.  Remember that reading VISA will be completed when the FIRST of the following: the desired number of characters is read, the character of endpoint found, there is a timeout.  So if there's a 0xA in your data, which will stop the read before that you would like it.

  • Read file spreadsheet

    Hello

It is a very basic question for playback in spreadsheet files. How to do it please?

I have a spreadsheet of 1 row and 256 columns. What separates the data in a spreadsheet file? Is it tab.

My current .vi does not read in the worksheet for a reason any.

    Thank you

This function does not read xls or xlsx files.  It reads ASCII spreadsheet files.  You can either save your Excel file as a CSV file (file-> save slot, then change the type to CSV format) or a text file and use VI.  Or you can use some ActiveX controls to read the data in Excel.  It is much easier to change the file type.

For resons design that I can't replace everything in a loop with a for loop and I don't need the while loop. I read something about creating custom detection of expressions of folklore, but I wonder why the builtin work in vi doesn't work and if it is not a simple solution.

  • Unable to replicate the frations seconds when you read a timestamp to a binary file

I use LabVIEW to collect packets of data structured in the following way:

    cluster containing:

    DT - single-precision floating-point number

    timestamp - initial period

    Table 2D-single - data

Once all the data are collected table of clusters (above) is flattened to a string and written to a text file.

I try to read binary data in another program under development in c#. I have no problem reading everything execpt the time stamp. It is my understanding that LabVIEW store timestamps as 2 unsigned 8-byte integer. The first integer is the whole number of seconds since January 1, 1904, 12: 00, and the second represents the fractional part of the seconds elapsed. However, when I read this information in and convert the binary into decimal, the whole number of seconds are correct, but the fractional part is not the same as that displayed by LabVIEW.

    Example:

Hex stored in the binary file that represents the timestamp: 00000000CC48115A23CDE80000000000

Time displayed in LabVIEW: 8:51:38.139 08/08/2012

Timestamp converted an Extended floating-point number in labview: 3427275098.139861

Timestamp binary converted into a decimal number to floating-point in c#: 3427275098.2579973248250806272

Binary timestamp converted to a DateTime in c#: 8:51:38.257 08/08/2012

Anyone know why there is a difference? What causes the difference?

    http://www.NI.com/white-paper/7900/en

The least significant 64 bits should be interpreted as a 64-bit unsigned integer. It represents the number of 2-64 seconds after the whole seconds specified in the most significant 64-bits. Each tick of this integer represents 0.05421010862427522170... attoseconds.

If we multiply the fractional part of the value (2579973248250806272) by 2-64 so I think that you have the correct time stamp in C.

  • Windows Mail - the scrolling is jerky (slow delay) when electronic reading

This problem seems to have slipped on me, an update of the system is perhaps the cause, but I can't identify any changes that might have caused the it.

The problem is that in Windows Mail. When you read a mail, scroll upwards or downwards by undergoes post half a 1 second delay between the action of scrolling and scrolling of the message. By scrolling action, I mean using the previous page or next page, by clicking on the scroll bar or by using the mouse wheel - all of these actions are exactly the same jerky scrolling.

I almost emptied all my messages while I just in my Inbox, all the other folder is deleted after the export of messages. My contacts have also been reduced to 22. I have compacted the database on a stop of messaging. None of this has made all the difference.

I'm out of ideas because it is not possible to reintall Windows Mail only. Strange that I can't find anything in the forum. Do you want?

Try to compact and repair the database.

A second thing to try is to remove the account completely, restart and add it again.

While you're there, check the malware.
