Exceptions to the limits of bandwidth

At MAX in San Francisco, I remember hearing with the permission of Adobe, we could get an exception to the bandwidth limit and the user. How is it difficult to get such an exception?

A bit of history - I am researching different solutions to manage users in a small virtual world avatars could walk in and perform minor actions (jumping, racing, wave, cat, etc.). We are currently seeking around 100 concurrent users. With regard to bandwidth - we don't emit any video or audio. Perhaps using a whiteboard or two. I'm more worried about the limit to the bandwidth by user.

Hi Jonathon,

We would be interested to hear more about your use case and what you're trying to do. Please send your application and any additional details at [email protected].

Thank you

  • How can I find the limits of my FMS on bandwidth 4.5 license and the number of simultaneous connections?

    Adobe apparently felt that making this information difficult to find a way to do this is somehow a good idea.  I need to be able to determine exactly what version of FMS 4.5 license my business uses, and I need to see what are the limits of bandwidth and concurrent connections (RTMP and RTMFP).  How would I be able to find it?  Thank you!

  • Do not save password, even if no exceptions and the site is not limited

    I used to have my password for AA.com saved. I change my password on aa.com and when firefox was asked if I wanted to record a new, I clicked never remember for this site. Realizing my mistake, I removed all exceptions to the saving of password. I can still save my password for aa.com. This works for all the other sites and it works on other computers for aa.com. Everything just not on this computer.

    The AAdvantage number on the login page field uses autocomplete = off to prevent Firefox to record the name and the password.

    You can remove autocomplete = off with a bookmarklet to register the name and the password of Firefox.

  • Is there a way I can back up my entire iMac G5 on a USB key (with the exception of the system files)

    I have an old imac running 10.4.11 G5 ppc and I want to get rid of it, but I want everything except the system files and crap that I don't need the backup. I want beck it upwards on a disc of void

    You should be able to create a backup on the disk USB 2.0 to your content

    a former Mac PPC; the files could be read by applications or made

    be opened by apps later (or those who converted to the future, if possible.)

    The limits for rotational USB or USB flash drives were related

    the inability of the OS X to start the old Macs for these drives. The

    the files themselves should be OK to be read from said readers.

    You may be sure choose "ignore permissions" as appropriate

    on the drives where the old user accounts can stifle access to their content. Or

    create a duplicate of the old files on a different drive, convert the need

    for a more recent application. You can make a duplicate of the old together

    drive with a clone utility. SuperDuper, double or utility disk peut

    do large duplicates. Disk utility can make a disk image. Other applications

    could be tempted to see if you could save-as or convert a newer version.

    Good luck!

  • How to reduce the use of bandwidth LAN?

    I want to design a relay system using two USRP of NI USRP 2922 with sample rates even as LTE standard. But there is limitation in the use of bandwidth of 1 Gbps LAN.

    I don't think you should achieve the full rate on a USRP without a link dedicated to the PC.  The protocol used is UDP between USPR and PC which can be disruped by the latency of the network and cause packets to arrive out of order or get lost.  You should also assume that, due to the effects of edge filter only 80% of the specified bandwidth is usable.  (20 MHz of bandwdith requires a rate of IQ of 25. MECH / s)  It takes a fast PC with a very high quality (we use intel) NIC to get there.  But you will need to use the driver for the NIC card manufactuer and maximize the RX and TX buffers.  So far, I realized only on desktop computers and mobile no.  I also would assume the package of 20% load, so on a 1 Gbps link, I would not expect to exceed the 800 MB/s.

    25 MS/s x (16 bit 16 bit I + q) = 800 MB/s

    You can also, in the pilot, 8-bit mode which will halve your dynamic range, but also the data rate.

    For a system like yours, you can consider to put a PC next to each usrp and install 2 network cards in each PC.  You will add the latency, but the additional computer will give you buffer against congestion and network problems.  In addition, relay is not a 'constant' streaming activity... only the RX is constant.  For TX, you can use the approach of gusts of transmission.

  • Lineage tracing an SQL error: ORA-22813: value of the operand exceeds the limits of the system

    Hi all

    I started playing with OEMM and I get the following error when I try to 'Trace Data Impact' in an Oracle table. Here's what I do:

    • I created a template and collected a few schemas/tables:

    Capture.JPG

    Capture1.JPG

    • Now when I try to "Trace Data Impact' on the table AP_DEF_STG, I get the following:

    Capture2.JPG

    Capture3.JPG

    Capture4.JPG

    I already tried to create a "Configuration" for her, I tried to text instead of graphics, but the error is the same. If I go to a view of Oracle and do a "track Data Lineage", I get the same error again.

    That someone was already been in this situation? This is the full error trace:

  • Script to move a selection from the limits of spread?

    I have a document with a difference much larger than the content in the document.

    1-oversize-pasteboard.png

    I have another template file with a gap corresponding to the size of the limits of all selected objects. I need to open this template, paste the objects, that pasted selection of objects align to the top left of the spread (aka cardboard neighborhood or work?) and then export as a PDF and .eps.

    Due to a lot of confusion about various coordinate systems, my ideal would be not having to move what that at all, but have instead, the upper left corner of the pasted content aligned with the upper left of the spread, as it is glued. Paste or paste in place makes the content where I need them. The objects are too weak.

    2-contents-pasted-too-low.png

    Even if there is a solution to paste the information where it needs to go from the outset, I would like to know how make a difference compared to the visible work area (I think it is properly known as the spread, but more commonly referred to as the mount table?) I want to just make sure I ask my question correctly so my intentions are understood).

    My first test with the following line of code produces the result seen in the next picture; only the background .eps object is moved, and it moves down.

    App.Selection [0]. Move([MyPage.Bounds[0]+myMargins.Top,MyPage.Bounds[1]+myMargins.Left]);

    3-first-try-to-move.png

    My second test is shown below; It seems also only reposition the background image, but something moved too far down and to the right. It seems that it may be of the same size and shape, like spread which I copied objects. The limits of selection have the right size when I stuck first the object in the new document, until the line of code to change the geometric limits has been executed.

    App.Selection [0] .geometricBounds = [myPage.bounds [0] + myMargins.top, myPage.bounds [1] + myMargins.left, myPage.bounds [2] - myMargin s.bottom, myPage.bounds [3] - myMargins.right];

    4-2nd-try-to-move.png

    Also, previous attempts (until I added the image of the Tiger, the text to its immediate left and a red rectangle behind the Tiger) saw all objects selected EXCEPT the background .eps image move upward and in the right position using app.selection [0] .geometricBounds.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is the code and a screenshot of the objects on the layer that are involved.

    Would you mind bringing together all elements of the page on the page, you have a single object to process after duplication (I prefer duplicate() on app.copy () / app.pasteInPlace ()) without selecting anything? Just answer has all the elements of the page on your source page to add a group and manage this unique group object.

    Quick and dirty:

    //TWO InDesign documents are open
    //The SOURCE document is the ACTIVE one

    var myTargetDoc = app.documents[1];

    myTargetDoc.viewPreferences.rulerOrigin = RulerOrigin.PAGE_ORIGIN;
    myTargetDoc.zeroPoint = [0,0];

    //Group everything on the active page of your SOURCE document:
    var myActivePage = app.layoutWindows[0].activePage;
    var myGroup = myActivePage.groups.add( myActivePage.pageItems.everyItem().getElements() );

    //Target the second document for the duplicate of the group:
    var myDuplicate = myGroup.duplicate(myTargetDoc.pages[0]);

    //Move the duplicate:
    myDuplicate.move([0,0]);

    //Tidy up a bit:
    myDuplicate.ungroup();
    myGroup.ungroup();

    Hope, that helps.

  • How to move the ends of the lines slanted towards the limits of the purge

    Hi all

    I developed a script that deletes the page elements to the purge. To achieve this, that I collect all the elements of the page (with the exception of text blocks) located partially on the editing table, create a temporary mask and 'trim' with subtraction of Pathfinder function. However, this approach does not work with graphic lines so I'm trying to move the ends of the lines to the limits of the substantive area lost. (I guess these are simple straight lines consisting of two end points).

    screengrab.png

    I knew how to deal with orthogonal lines - it's pretty easy:

    if (theItem.constructor.name == "GraphicLine" && theItem.paths.length === 1) {
         path = theItem.paths[0];
         if (path.pathPoints.length === 2) {
              ep = path.entirePath;
              w = ep[1][0]-ep[0][0];

    This moves A1 - A2, B1 , B2, C1 , C2, D1 to D2.

    But how to treat skewed lines? How to calculate the coordinates of the point E2 and F2? Y at - it a magic formula? Or can someone point me to the right direction: for example a book to read?

    I assume this has something to do with geometry/trigonometry, but I haven't studied this kind of things at school. (I graduated from an art school - designed to draw naked models instead).

    If someone will answer my question, please do it on basic level since I'm a total noob in the present.

    Kasyan

    Hi Kasyan!

    I was not trying to integrate this into your script, so you may need to adjust a little. The trick is to define a function that detects the point of intersection of two lines - and, of course, you must call it for lines that will not fail to cross the border of the page! (Otherwise, it would simply expand * any * the line upward and on the border.)

    I think it would be wise to predict a small mistake for lines that seem to run "up to" the edge of the page - I tested a line for 'x '.<= 0"="" on="" a="" line="" that="" appeared="" to="" start="" on="" 0;="" the="" control="" panel="" told="" me="" so.="" however,="" i="" didn't="" type="" that="" 0="" in;="" i="" dragged="" the="" line="" to="" the="" edge.="" apparently,="" it="" was="" *not*="" at="" precisely="" "0mm",="" but="" something="" like="" "0.001mm",="" because="" the="" script="" simply="" didn't="" "see"="" the="">

    My function comes from this page: http://local.wasp.uwa.edu.au/~pbourke/geometry/lineline2d/ and I did not test it does of orthogonal lines

    (but of course, you could add this in exceptional cases), and it's my script extending the line, with a small wrapper to configure things.

    The function tests * any * tail against * any * other line, so if we meet the page bounding box, I get the intersection with the purge of the side area where it crosses the bbox page.

    line = app.selection[0];
    // pg size in "regular" [y1,x1, y2,x2] format
    pagebbox = [0,0, app.activeDocument.documentPreferences.pageHeight,app.activeDocument.documentPreferences.pageWidth ];
    bleedDist = 5; //
    bleedbbox = [ pagebbox[0] - bleedDist, pagebbox[1] - bleedDist, pagebbox[2] + bleedDist, pagebbox[3] + bleedDist ];

  • Q. on the limitations of LR3

    Greetings,

    LR can work with pixels of 30 k files x 15 k tiff over 2.5 gigabytes of each?

    Or in other words, what is the upper limit for files being able to work, as appropriate. I am aware that the material plays a role, my Mac Pro is up, so I should be good on this front.

    Thank you

    Theoretically, LR must be able to work with them, because these are the limits:

    File format exceptions

    Lightroom does not support the following file types: PNG; Adobe Illustrator®; Scanner Nikon NEF; files of a size greater than 65 000 pixels per side or greater than 512 million pixels.

  • Limits of bandwidth on FCS v1.5

    I'm new to FCS, so forgive my ignorance, or lack of correct terminology.

    Lack of Flash Communication Server v1.5. We have a strict limit of 2500 users Summit and 10 Mbps. It has been a relatively free maintenance system for the past two years, but as of late, we'll hit the threshold of 10 Mbits/s constantly.

    The only documentation I could find covers the new Flash Media Server 2.0, which allows to reduce the number of users of pic and to increase the limit of bandwidth accordingly.
    License profiles
    Unfortunately, I was unable to find something similar for FCS.

    Can someone tell me if this is possible and if so, how to configure. Or is our option to upgrade to the new FMS?
    Not opposed to the upgrade, but don't want to spend money when it has been so badly free.

    Lol... decrease the available client bandwidth doen't increase, it comes fewer shaing users who are limited to 10 Mbps.

    When you reach a limit, the server will reject connections until that connections and the flow drops below the limits of the license. Unless you can come up with another license of FCS (Adobe isn't selling licenses of FCS more), there is no way around this bandwidth Cap.

    I see where you're going... but unfortunately FCS has no profiles such as FMS.
