Excluding the review quiz questions on

Hello

I have a path with a quiz at the end. However, in the course itself, I have a few interactions that were better managed (I thought) in the form of the Question pages. They provide feedback and try again, and I defined them as cash for 0 points and I unchecked "report responses.

When the student has completed the end of course quiz, I wish they were able to review their answers on the quiz questions (no change). I don't want this review, including the questions that appear, with comments, in the body of the course.

Is it possible to exclude these questions from the quiz test?

Hello again,

I didn't say 'hide', but 'Skip '.

What is a linear project? I mean, are the 'real' as issues after the interactions which are not marked but when visited in review mode? In this case, a tip action triggered at the entrance to the first slide 'interaction' will do. There must be a conditional action, something like this:

IF cpInReviewMode is equal to 1

Jump to the Question1 Question1 corresponding to the first real Question slide

Not so complicated, right?

  • How warns we dosed questions are included in the review quiz button

We create courses where we want to insert Doss 'review' of the same type of questions as the trainee takes the lesson. We used the MC test 'widget' with no point and deselected the report options.

    So far so good.

At the end of the course, we have a 5 scored quiz question. After the user passes the test, if it hits the review quiz option, it must go back to the first issue of the "review" rather than to the first question scored.

Is there a way to avoid this?

    Mike

I blogged once about the correct answers to jump during the review: http://blog.lilybiri.com/review-only-incorrect-slides-captivate-6

You will also need a user variable to track if the user is in playback mode, because no system variable is always available (and request of 'old' feature which makes it ever). And if you don't mind manual labor, just to check if the user is in review mode and go to the next slide. This conditional action must be assigned to all the slides in non-incise question on enter. It will be the same action for all, so it's not that much work.

  • Review Quiz button do not navigate to the first quiz question...

    Hello

so I created a guide to simulation of interactive software for users in my organization. At the end of this guide, there is a quiz (multiple choice, true or false questions) with 15 slides. At the end of the quiz, the results screen is displayed with the button "Review Quiz". Clicking it navigates the user to drag the 72/245 rather than the beginning of the quiz, the first question.

    How can this be corrected?

    Thank you very much

    Achello

You have an interactive object somewhere on this slide that is orchestrated to appear on the quiz.

Open the dialog Advanced Interaction (F9) and search for the object here.  Delete the partition.

  • Insert a button on the review Quiz page?

I am using captivate 7. I want to hide the button submit on the review page and have a custom button that I am able to add advanced actions. Is this possible? Is it also possible to use a function of calendar on the review page. Ideally what I'm trying to do, is to have a message and prevent anyone to click on the button continue until after that that they have read the message. Once they have clicked on the button continue, I would like a message appears on the screen asking if they printed their results. Yes, will be continued on the next page. Don't get back to the review page to give them the ability to print.

Is this possible? If so, how?

    Hello

You can not insert the button on the question slide and quiz results slide.

However, you can insert intelligent use of form and check a box under its properties, and then under Actions > hit > you can set execute advanced action.

In your scenario, it seems that you must create a conditional action using if - else conditions.

    Kind regards

  • To return the review quiz button

    Hello

Somehow, I deleted the quiz Review-button that appears in the result of Quiz slide. How would I get it back? It happened earlier then Ctrl + Z is long gone .

As I can't add new buttons in a question slide, I can't get away with it either.

    Any ideas?

    Kind regards

  • Changing the points quiz question

    Hi guys

With the help of cp5 I created a quiz but because of the vagaries of the LMS, I need to change the total points for each question (default 10 as can be seen in the table of Advanced Interaction but need to reduce each). Is this possible? It was in previous versions. I looked everywhere but can find no way to do this.

As always all the help appreciated

    Spiersey

Looking for the points in the Quiz properties panel:

If that's what you're looking for, can I recommend to switch to the workspace Quizzing? This workspace you will have both the properties panel and the Panel properties Quiz at your fingertips, while in the classic workspace, they are both grouped into the same docking on the right side.

  • Captivate 5 - revision Quiz - Questions and missing buttons after review

Hi, I have a question about the feature of revision quiz in Captivate 5.  When I review quiz, questions and the buttons do not appear.  I checked the transition between slides to "fade in" only.  Questions remain missing after the review.  Figure out and can't find any post related to this issue.

    Thank you.

Ok.  By the look of your screenshots you have deleted some elements of the quiz question slides.

Were you remove all standard legends such as the legend of title or caption Quiz, or items such as the control box?

  • Captivate Review Quiz button

    Hello everyone

Have created a quiz in Captivate, I'll settle for the user to review quiz if they. (90% success rate so I want to see what questions they got wrong).

I don't want the user to review quiz if they fail (because this will show them the right answers, effectively allowing them to cheat their way through the quiz twice).

If someone could please give me an answer to my question, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Ok. Well in this case you will need using Variables and advanced Actions.

You cannot selectively DISPLAY the Review Quiz button on the Quiz results slide, and can hide under something other than one of the components of this slide (that's why I suggested using the Retake Quiz button) by default.

You must have a variable of follow-up that record whether the user past the quiz for beginners.  Have this variable set to 0 by default, and 1 on slide enter Quiz slide results (using a conditional action) IF the student passes the course.

If the user clicks the review Quiz button, it will take the learner to the first quiz question and also set a System Variable Captivate following if the user is in view.  You can run a conditional action by slide enter each question quiz to check if the learner is in playback Mode, and whether or not they have passed the quiz before allowing them to post the question quiz in review slide. If they have not passed the test yet, then the conditional action must jump them to a slide that tells them that they must pass the test before trying to see him.

Quite frankly, I'd rather give of the learner 2 or 3 more attempts at the quiz (via a Retake Quiz button) before forcing them to redo everything.

  • Resume the CP4 Quiz

    Hello

I have a little problem with a project, in the section quiz is set up to allow some times but when a user clicks on the button of recovery at the end of the quiz it seams to jump at the end of a section at the beginning of the module where I have a cool drag Rod and drop question slides that is configured to not mark and is worth 0 points I use that as a review of the section.

It is not allowed to return to the first slide that scores are tracked, so it should go to the first slide of my quiz as anything else in my project is followed.

    All the ideas!

    Mike

The scope of the quiz begins with any quiz question slide, regardless if it is marked or declared or not.  No matter what type of question it is, true/false, multiple response, Question Widget.

If there is an interactive object, such as a button or a clickbox before the first quiz question slide, it will not extend the scope of quiz unless it is set to be included in the questionnaire. Even if you leave the boxes unchecked to add Total and the responses to the report, this means that the extent of quiz begins with this interactive object. If a button or click box is included in the quiz, you cannot set his score to 0.  He always comes by default to 1.

  • Quiz Question # 52 instead of 1 starts

I created an e-Learning module, which has several content slides followed a knowledge check quizzes of 10 questions at the end. The first quiz question appears as # 52 of 64 questions. Thus, everyone fails the test because the score max appears in the correct form 12 of 64 questions, when in reality there are only 12 questions. Anyone know why or how to do to fix this?

    Thank you!

Do you by chance have a lot of buttons, or click on the boxes of your project?  If so, have you checked to see whether or not they were put to the report for the quiz?

You can see all marked objects by opening the draft declaration for the quiz > Advanced Interaction dialog.  If you only want to quiz questions to be strong, make sure that they only be shown in the dialog box as being the value to have points and added to the total of rea.

  • Adobe Captivate 7 - is the review of the results of the quiz based on the types of questions?

Adobe Captivate 7 provides the function that you can review the questions, and you can see which of them have answered correctly and that one of them has responded incorrectly. In my e-learning project, there is an exercise that consists of multiple choice questions and drag and drop tasks. This question / task landslides are among the content slides, this means for example after 5 content slides are a 2 slides, it issues then 3 content slides and slide 1 question and so on. The results of all the types of questions - multiple choice questions, drag and drop - are included in the results of the quiz. At the end of the e-learning the 'quiz' results slide comes with the button "check Quiz." I tested this function after exporting the e-learning of Adobe Captivate7. I noticed the following: If you click on the button "check Quiz" the learner back to all the question slides he or she responded. For that on question slides were automatically placed the buttons 'next' and 'back' and the 'inspection' on the ground it is written what the learner has responded to the two first questions are multiple choice questions. There, it works fine the two buttons will appear. After clicking on the button 'next' on the first question slide that contains a multiple choice question, the learner is the second slide of the question, which also contains a multiple choice question. The third issue is a task of drag / move. He do not appear the buttons so the quiz review stops and there is no field 'inspection '.

How do I review the quiz works correctly despite types of questions?

You will need to create the buttons that you want the slide D & D and format them to look like buttons on the other Quiz slides. Then hide them by deselecting "Visible output" in the properties panel.

For these D & D slides, you will need a conditional action advanced or shared to be triggered on enter. The action will check the value of the system variable cpInReviewMode, which is a Boolean with the value of 1 by Captivate when you're in playback mode. If its value is in fact = 1 show you the hidden buttons. If you group these buttons, you will need only a single command:

IF cpInReviewMode is equal to 1

  • Quiz Questions installed within the scrolling text box?

    Hello

Is quick question, possible to enter the quiz questions in a text scrolling Interaction?  Thanks for your time.

    -Brett H.

I don't think it's possible, because the scrolling text is an Interaction, and you have almost no control over it. Certainly not the questions by default, which is totally excluded.

  • Is it possible to set actions on the button "submit" a Quiz question?

Is it possible to set actions on the button "submit" a Quiz question? I want to advance to the next slide or continue when they get the question right, or come at the end of the tent, they are allowed. I would like to eliminate the Next continue/button. Why does take two actions to come out of the slide? I use 8 Captivate.

Not possible, or you you screw up the functionality of the quiz slide. Submit button is the most important object of each slide of the default questionnaire.

I suspect that you are not on 9 Captivate but on an earlier version? Perhaps reading this article:

Question Question slides in Captivate - Captivate blog

You don't need the next to all button if you do not allow the review. If you allow the review, you cannot uncheck, because otherwise the user will be pasted on slides during the review. You can drag the next button under the light of the button (see article). The Send button will trigger actions Success/Last attempt, that you can use to your advantage.

If you want to limit the submission of a single click process, you will find a scenario in the same article

  • Quiz questions mixed with Drag & Drops - Quiz review issue

    Hello

Is there a way to show the right answers for a drag and drop exercise if the learner chooses wrong?  My problem is that I have an evaluation with different types of questions (Multiple, Matching and Drag & Drop choice questions).  When the test ends and the click of the learner "Review Quiz", they can view their errors on Multiple choice and matching questions but not answers for fiscal drag-and - d├⌐poser.

I tried to add a failure slide so that when the learner chooses bad, they jump to a slide of failure which shows the good answers/layout for drag / move.  The problem I have is once that the learner reviews the results of question Multiple choice and matching, there is no next button on the last slide of the question, if the review stops right in the middle.

I was hoping there is a way to let the learner to make two attempts to the drag / move, and once the learner has used all attempts and is always incorrect, the learner can click a button to auto-submit to see the D & D response.

I use 8 Captivate and my ratings are based on the web so I'm not using an LMS System.

    Thank you

    Jeff

Interaction in D & D, even if configured as a question slide, has still not all of the features of the normal question slides. If I find a solution to your problem, will post as soon as POSSIBLE.

  • Captivate 7 - Quiz questions take a long time to advance to the next

So I have completed my course. All along (each slides or so) I quiz questions that are classified but undeclared. They are simply there to prepare the student for the final exam. They have the opportunity to submit the response followed legends correct and incorrect. At the end of the course, the trainee meeting these same issues (55 in total), but now they are back to back and they are both classified and reported. Here, they have only the option to submit.

When they take undeclared quiz questions, click on submit and it quickly goes to the next slide, because it is set up to do. BUT on issues that are noticed and reported, when they click on submit, it really takes a lot of time to move to the next slide (and a lot of time, I mean 10 more seconds). At the end of the review, when they answered the final question, and click to go on, the two final slides take more time (sometimes up to a minute) to move forward.

I understand it is going to be some delay while the system reports the score for each slide, but this seems abnormally long. This shift occurs in preview mode, scormcloud and during a test on a LMS (Gyrus) client.

Any idea on why this is and how to prevent it. It's really hard to ask my customers to be patient and stay there for 10 seconds every single issue. I need them to take the final exam at their own pace - fast or slow.

    Thanks in advance,

    Arthur

I know, it is barely visible, because the line between the inactive and the Active part is black on a blue background (already invited for 6 or 5.5 to change that color...) You will need to go over it all in the middle of the timeline until you see the line double cursor appearing and you can put:

Go to the next slide makes them faster. I had no problem with our LMS, but read on this forum (you know that I am often here) that some have done so. No rule of the world, by dragging the break more towards the end has almost the same effect, but you can leave a little bit more time (less than the 1.5secs).

As I know there is no way to change the sleep time by default for Question slides, as the timing is never available on Quiz Master slides.
