executable hangs

I'm trying to publish a Captivate 7 file as a windows executable.  When I run the project, every time that I get to slide 44 all the window closes without error message.  I deleted the box click on this stage and I deleted the slide completely, but whenever I run the exe file, it crashes in the same place.

Someone at - it ideas?

OK I thought about it.  After I did this slide is clicked, the cursor is placed in a roll on.  For some reason, rollover slidelet settings have been set to output on turnover, and it has been automatically exit the program.  That's why he kept stopping at the same place.

In addition, you can add an error handling. Add a Simple error on the end handler and follow errors through you call library function nodes. At this point, LabVIEW could raise an error, and you never know.

  • LabVIEW 2011 compiled the application crash

I'm writing an application DAQ simple enough to use in a freshman Engineering Lab is written to the USB-6211. Since it will be used at more than one campus, I try to make a compiled application. Demand, such as built in LabVIEW 2011, works very well. The problem is that the compiled executable hangs in the same places without fail. I've included the source VI unmodified and a version with the acquisition of data code disabled and some dialogue inserted to track the progress of the request. Executables for both are also included.

I use a architecture of producer/consumer-events to manage the three tasks of data acquisition. Consumers loop will fail after one of the three DAQ events are executed. Consumers loop works very well for the exit event. I also returned to LabVIEW 2010 and recompiled, the same failures.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

I think that if you close the front panel to start the VI, it will leave the built application.

Replace the properies "FP.open" with "FP." State"and toggle between 'Hidden' and 'Normal'. That seems to work in my limited testing.

  • Program LabVIEW will hang between 33% and 50% of the time.

I have a problem with a Labview program, I did. I have two programs that do the same thing. One is as a flat sequence, and the other is in the form of State machine.

As explained in the link below, I would like to use a microcontroller to perform wiring for automation of a measurement process. A separate current source and volt meter will be used.

    https://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/sequence-a-good-idea/TD-p/2601333

I did some simple test programs that I join since then. The problem is when running, that the labview program crashes, but not all the time is to run the program.

For example: Hall 1.2.vi will correctly work twice with the third time, he is executed, it crashes. If Cancel you and try again, it will run again twice without any problem with the third hanging. It is in the flat sequence format (was in a flat sequence, but merged windows because I thought that was the cause). From what I can tell, the program crashes when calling Keithley 6517 unique Read.vi. Two connected Keithley devices are connected to the computer via GPIB to 16 and 27. The way I checked if it was this vi the cause or contributed to what I deleted the program never hung and it. I find it very strange that it crashes exactly on the third attempt every time.

Simple.VI Hall 1.3 will work the first time and hang the second time. If it works 50% of the time. It is in the format of State Machine. It hangs in the case entitled "Measurement 1" that contains the Keithley 6517 unique Read.vi.

I used the running highlight button and watched the program to run. Curiously, it only crashes when you use this button. So I tried to add some delays/waiting in different places without success.

This could be the cause? As a side note, I say that the program is suspended for two reasons. The principal is the program does not run so the execution arrow is always black. The second thing is that if you notice at the end of the labview program, I have a block he who turns to the power source which does not happen when it crashes. I have to turn it off manually, and then click the abort program button to stop labview.

  • How to freeze the quick sign in command-line executable is runing

    Hello

I have an executable file, that I compiled in Labview and I run from the line of command (CMD) as part of a sequence of commands.

The command line may look like this example:

    Order #1

    Order #2

    MyLabviewFile.exe

    Order #3

    Order #4

    ....

Once the exe starts, it works for about 1 minute.

The problem is that the command line is not locked while the executable is runing and the following command (No. 3 in the example) is sent before the end of the executable. This can be a problem.

I have to 'freeze' lock the quick sign while the executable is runing and/or have some sort of indication to the INTERIOR of THE LINE of COMMAND when the executable ends. Or any other way to do the #3 command starts only when the executable ends.

Does anyone have an idea how to do this?

    Instead of using

    MyLabVIEWFile.exe

    use

    cmd /C MyLabVIEWFile.exe

This will cause the sequence of order hang until the end MyLabVIEWFile.exe of execution.  If your exe/path has spaces, you will need to put quotes around it as such:

    cmd /C "MyLabVIEWFile.exe."

  • print easy text.vi does not work in the executable

I have 3 computers to target that runs labview 2012 on a PXIe8101controller.  In my statemachine the vi prints a report using simple text, report vi (palletized report generation) at the end of the trial.  Its an executable vi on all 3 machines.  On 2 machines, it works fine.  On the 3rd he hangs up when I'm logged in as a standard user.  If I log in as an administrator, it works very well.  The thing I noticed is that on 2 machines, that it works, the image is "factory...". 1.2.1F6' (under control panel > systems).

On the test equipment that it only works in admin mode the original image is 1.2.4.f1.  MAX is also 5.3.1 on that past fine and 5.5.0 f1 on the one that does not work on.  Everything I'm mssing?

  • Explorer Windows began to hang occasionally after installation of recent updates

I installed the latest Windows updates two days ago. After that, I observed the strange question. Explorer Windows or any other application that bed the list of logical drives crashes from time to time for 10-15 minutes and does not respond. If I wait until he wakes up, he continues to work normally, but may crash again after some time. Sometimes, it may be in 10-20 minutes after the restart, or even in 1-2 hours after the reboot. The Task Manager shows not overloading CPU or memory for blocking.

My OS is Vista Home Premium x 64 SP1 computer HP Pavilion DV7 laptop, Intel Core Duo 2 GHz, 4 GB RAM, HARD 2 x 250 GB drive.

I completed the virus scan, tried to uninstall antivirus and any other software that can theoretically cause hang while reading list of reader, nothing done. Test memory not found error. Also done sfc/scannow. My hardware drivers are installed, Device Manager shows all the hardware without error in factory work. Event log contains no errors. The total number of windows updates installed the same day is about 60, I can provide the full list if necessary.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

The image (it back up to an external drive as full image) and reinstall Windows XP, update, drivers and everything.  Install any plugins that you NEED to do all that you see here that the bat hurt.  If the problem no longer exists, something has gone wrong with your system from before (corrupt files or your cleaning is not as complete as you think) and if the problem persists - probably something to do with the material. In all cases, you can return to the image if you wish.

To the extent wherever it is the registry, I must ask, * how * you have come to this conclusion?  Not that I'm defending something - I was wondering what you did to decide who is not your registry database?  (Side: I agree with you.)

That's what * I * would call cleaning and optimization of a Windows XP machine:

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in. Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.) You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory. This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

You can use an application that scans your system for the log files and temporary files and use it to get rid of those who:

I double-click on the executable installer, that it goes right up to 100% on the preparation and when it gets to the point when it should start the installation itself that the computer just hangs and installation does not.

Microsoft tests drivers in various environments prior to publication; However, we cannot guarantee that all the drivers work on all hardware platforms as there are too many different models, although their hardware IDS are the same as the standard version. In some cases, due to changes in the material by different manufacturers, updates of the driver can cause an error.

If this does not work on your question, I suggest you install the Vista driver in compatibility mode. Remove and rescan the device in the device, right click on the executable/installer file manager driver-> properties and select the Compatibility tab. Click on the box to check run this program in compatibility mode for option and select Windows Vista from the drop-down list. then try to install the device driver using run as administrator.
