Execution of format or clean install on Windows 7 without product key

Hello!

I need to do a clean install/format to old PC which came with Win 7 Enterprise already installed. Unfortunately, I don't have the product key more (I think it was written on a single DVD supplied with the PC, but I can't find this disc more). I tried the key with Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder, but it says that the cd key is BATH-BATH-BATH-BATH-BATH - This is not normal. Is there a way to reinstall/refresh version of Windows 7 if I don't have the product key more?

Thank you

Janek

Windows 7 Enterprise volume license customer and is only available for companies to large companies that have a valid volume license agreement. This means, it is intended for the employer that you deploy.

You must reinstall the original copy of Windows that came with your computer.

Check on the chassis of the machine for a certificate of authenticity detailing the version and edition of Windows initially supplied with your computer and reinstall that version.

If its an edition of Windows 7, see the following:

  • Can I do a clean install of Windows 8 (without the DELL OEM software)?

    Hi people,

I just bought a DELL Inspiron 17R laptop computer which came with Windows 8. I want to install an aftermarket SSD and do a clean install of Windows 8 on the SSD without all the stuff extra DELL piles on the computer in their factory. However, the laptop does not come with any media of Windows 8. My other options (copy windows divide in the SSD or use Windows backup and restore), both result in installing Windows 8 with a lot of software DELL.

DELL said that they do not have the installation of Windows 8 media and I need to contact Microsoft to get it. Any ideas on how I can go about this? I'm happy to pay a nominal fee for the discs, but having already an OEM of Windows 8 installation, I want to avoid going to the shops and buy a new license.

    Any ideas are much appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Chris

Unfortunately, your only option is to create a disk backup and restore using recovery tools provided by Dell and use it to reinstall Windows 8. This is especially true because you run Windows 8, which are not available elsewhere.

    or

    SSD of cloning:

You can clone the installation for the SSD, provided that the SSD is large enough to accommodate the installation to be cloned.

    See

http://www.ssdfreaks.com/content/664/how-to-clone-HDD-to-SSD-with-Windows-7s-own-software or (easier) use a copy of the trial of Acronis True Image Home.

Note that, immediately after cloning, you must stop and unplug the original installation. The disc can be reconnected once the DSS started successfully.

  • I have a WIndows 7 Ultimate operating system failure and required a drive for a clean install. I have the product key, but Microsoft offers no English option.

I have a Windows 7 Ultimate active computer that was swarming (STRONGLY) of malware/virus/junk files/adware...

I think I have cleaned out, but want to do a clean to be sure install, but I have no partition recovery (may be erased by a virus?) and no recovery dick.

I went to the Microsoft website and entered my product key.  He has been recognized as Windows 7 Ultimate, but when I had to choose a language, English was not available.

Any solution, or should I continue to use the computer and all hope is clean?

EDIT - I installed the windows 10 (using an ISO image) on Windows 7.  I do not enter the product key when asked (the program said I could jump at this stage of the installation).  Installation went well.

I then checked to activate Windows 10 - it activated without any difficulty.

I will now try a clean install...

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

  • Have Windows Starter 7 N installed but Windows 7 Starter product key

On vacation, Windows Exploer kept crashing after only an important set of Windows updates.  Would not allow me to use the restore, and says safe mode no not created restore point.  Local repair shop could not fix and installed Windows Starter 7 N.  OEM Windows 7 Starter and have just the product key for this version.  Now will activate not with this key.  Is it possible to reactivate Windows 7 Starter, even if N version installed?  As I have a netbook, no origin avaialable CD etc.

It is not none. You will have to call the manufacturer for a disc or a download. And then, this might be useful: http://blogs.technet.com/b/aviraj/archive/2009/02/01/installing-windows-7-using-usb-thumb-drive.aspx

Since it is installed Acer aps and not the cookies I'm unable to use CCCleaner toget rid them. I would like to format the PC and do a clean install of Windows 10 without Acer aps being included. Hi, I'm going to do my clean install of Windows Vista 32 8.1 today.

Need advice on the size for my new partition (s).

    Currently defined as the partitions:

    Total: free:

    OS (c                          99.7G          11.9G

    Data (D G 111, 14.5 G)

    HP_Recovery (E 12.0 G 1.97 G)

    I am running:

    Laptop HP Pavilion DV9700 Entertainment

Basically I want a suitable partition for the new Windows OS 8.1 (more room for restore points).

And the rest of the data area, I guess, as if I had originally.

Does anyone have any other ideas, because I start from scratch.

You can reset the Windows Update components by running the Fixit on this page. But if there is malware present, she will continue to reset the connection to the update servers:

How to reset the Windows Update components

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

Suggest you download and save the Fixit. Then configure the system before the clean boot by running:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista/Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Once the Fixit has been downloaded and the system is started in the pure State, check that the native Windows Firewall is now on if a 3rd party firewall has been used previously. Now run the Fixit and choose the default mode. Restart once it's done and see if the system can be connected to the update servers. If he can't, then rerun the Fixit and choose aggressive mode. Turn it back on when he finished the race and updates.

I suggest before you stop and install the updates, disconnect from the Internet, first.

I also recommend that download you and install Service Pack 3 for Office 2003, then look for updates in the Help menu.

  • Do I have to do a clean install of Windows 7 upgrade disc?

    Hello

I use a retail version upgrade of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on a desktop PC, I've implemented myself 4 years ago.  I have upgraded to Windows XP then.

I think I would buy a new card mother and CPU in another year and I hope that my current installation of Windows 7 on my hard drive (fairly recent) current will be able to start with the new MB and CPU - and just to require new drivers for chipset.  However, I know that this will not work and I might have to reformat the drive and do a clean install of Windows 7.  I'll be able to do it from my Windows 7 upgrade installation disc?

Unfortunately, I got rid of my old XP drive because I'm moving soon and I threw it without thinking.  Do I need to reinstall Windows 7?  I still have my old XP serial number and product key, and of course, my Windows 7 product key and serial number.  Also, I have an old system repair disc and could make another if this will help.  Thanks for your advice.

    Zaid

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

    Try the following:

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD

    Click Install now

    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

    Click on drive Options

Select the disc/s click on Delete

    Click new

    Click on apply

    Click OK

Click Format, and then click next to proceed with the installation

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it
