Existing paid products on my laptop

Hello

I recently bought MS office 365 and Norton Security valid for one year for my laptop and I was wondering with the upgrade of Windows 10, will my purchase cancelled it is have will have to re - install them or that they will always be available on my laptop? Thank you

The upgrade to Windows 7 or later will preserve my personal files, applications, and settings?

Yes, the upgrade to Windows 7 or a later version will keep your files staff, settings, and applications.

You need to remove Norton Security, since it is not compatible with Windows 10. You can use the built in Windows Defender or upgrade to a version that supports Windows 10 or another Antivirus that does.

  • Product key computer laptop on my new PC?

I have an old laptop with Windows 7 home premium. I was wondering if I could use the product key to the coast of this laptop to download and activate windows 7 on a new PC, I am trying to build.

No, you cannot, it is attached to this computer.

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

  • The product under my laptop key work?

    Hi all

My computer came preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Premium, but recently, I deleted my computer's hard drive to get rid of my software manufacturer and bloatware. My friend gave me a Windows 7 Ultimate disc and installed for me on my PC. On the backup and restore, I believe that, under the mobile everyone, there is a product key in which this OS has been pre-installed, when they arrived at the computer. So I have a question. Say my computer broke down all of a sudden, and I have an ISO bootable (when I did completely bootable) of Windows 7 Home Premium and the product key for it, which was found under my laptop, is the book product key and activate my copy of Windows 7 Home Premium?

I contacted Microsoft support team recently on this subject, and they told me that an OEM license is usable only once. If you lose your copy there is no way to recover

You have been misinformed or you misunderstood what was said to you.

The OEM license can be used on the same motherboard, it was initially installed on indefinitely and for all clean installs on this motherboard that you would like / need.  It cannot be transferred to another motherboard.  Thus, the "' only one involved is the only motherboard.

  • Not allowed to use my premium production CS6 on laptop and desktop?

    Hello!

I have already posted a couple of different questionsin the hardware forum since I am in the market for a new laptop. My problem is now one of the installation and so I post here.

With respect to computers, I have now decided to wait the GS60 MSI (laptop) out, but since I do not know how much time I'll have to wait and I'm in serious need of a new computer, I went out and bought a used desktop computer that will do the trick in the meantime.

Then I set up my desktop, installed my CS6 production premium suite, used the creative cloud (free version included in the suite) to download a few projects of my laptop and then upload them to my new desktop computer. Everything was going, until I got a second draft in first pro when suddenly a window popped up saying something like "Lisa HP uses the same series/number keys, please reinstall the plugin and use a valid/uniqe keys series/number" and then a red cross appears everywhere in my images.

HP of Lisa is my old laptop by the way I use again, in part as a laptop school, but I also want to keep editing on it while I'm on the go. Even if it's a nightmare to do serious editing on it is perfectly fine for some easy Assembly, at the beginning.

I was under the impression that I am authorized to install my creative combination on multiple computers, am I bad? Once I get my new laptop (May 6-12 months) I probably won't have to use a desktop computer more, but in the meantime, I won't be able to work on my projects on my desktop and my laptop.

What I really need to uninstall the garment on my laptop to use it on my desktop? I thought that the cloud was all about sharing between computers and I was really looking forward to be able to use cs6 on my two computers.

I spent a lot of money on my costume and I never exspected to have this problem, of course, I would be able to edit on my laptop and desktop computer, right? Or am I really supposed to buy the costume a second time? This really isn't an option for me, especially since it will only be for a few months.

If someone could help clear this up for me that would be great. Thanks in advance

    Lisa

If this is not software Creative Cloud then an additional restriction, is that you can only use one of the facilities enabled at any time.

He will restore the os with the settings on drive C;. Local d it will create image file from hard drive which I know.

It depends on the application. I mean, do a right-click on the application and choose properties where you can Compatible mode.

  • Working with Adobe products on a laptop computer

Hi there everyone. It is my first time here in Adobe communities, I learned my way around Photoshop and a little bit of Premiere Pro and I also plan on my way through learning After effects and Illustrator. But what I would like to know if my laptop can handle it. I don't want to end up buying the software that I can't use it on my machine.

My laptop is a HP Probook s 4440 with 3rd Gen i5, 8 GB RAM and Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics. It can manage After effects and Illustrator well enough? I can use Photoshop CS6 very well, even if she accuses a bit sometimes when I'm working on a large number of layers. Premiere Pro takes a long time to make a video that makes me skeptical about how he would deal with After Effects. How would the workflow. I'm fine with long render times. I expect just to work smoothly in the workflow for small projects.

    Ideas and suggestions?

No, your laptop is far, far from ideal to run Premiere Pro and After Effects. You'd probably be OK with Photoshop and Illustrator. You say you want "smoothly" and while you can do this with a laptop that doesn't break the Bank, your current HP failed to more space than you.

Premiere Pro boasts a strong NVidia graphics card (your a HD4000 only), many (i.e. four hearts + hyperthreading support) processor cores and 16 GB or RAM or more to get a quality of experience for media HVACHD typical editing projects without having to make it on the timeline.

If you really want to know how it would work on your HP, you can download and try for free applications CC 2014 30-day evaluation copy and actually try it for yourself with your support and your workflow.

Finally, the web site www.ppbm7.com is rich in information about what size of PC, you need to what media and much more.

  • Who is the most preferred antivirus software for windows 7 to be used on a laptop?

Essentially looking for a safe and hassle free to use the laptop for work online. Any free or paid products as long as it is absolutely reliable.

    Hello

Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leave the file system, Web,.
Operational network (Script and behavior are also recommended in Ver 6 +).

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
    right of IE)

Two versions of Avast are available 6.x and 4.8 x

Avast - home - free - 6.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-
Click on the Orange icon - top right - settings - click on the status bar - uncheck shields you
    disabled - click OK
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

Avast 4.8 x - home - free - stop shields, you don't need except leaving Standard, Web,.
and the network running. (Double-click the blue icon - look OK. - upper left - Shields details
    Finish those you don't use).
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download#TAB4

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - home - free small, fast, exceptional protection CLOUD, working with other security
programs. It is a single scanner, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something come back here
or use Google to see how to remove.

Choice of PCmag editor - Prevx-
    http://www.PCMag.com/Article2/0, 2817,2346862,00.asp

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever think malware and that
would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie
(not much), to UPDATE and then run it as a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they
never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

  • Laptop: how to make my laptop for one SSD

    Hey everybody,

I would spend my hard drive of the laptop to an SSD, what are some of the things that I should look for to upgrade successfully, and this may affect my 10 Windows license?

    Thank you

    Bill

For some people, upgrade a laptop to an SSD can be like diving into the deep end of a pool.

An SSD upgrade may involve extensive disassembly of your laptop, depending on the model.

Some models have hard disks that are easier to access than others.

There are the small, but important detail involving accepting the risk of damaging your computer laptop and breach of warranty.

You will need to decide if you want to migrate your operating system to the new SSD or perform a new installation of Windows.

If you have already upgraded the operating system of the Windows 10 laptop, your laptop will have a digital entitlement on license of Windows servers.

It's the new Microsoft license model that makes a continuous activation of the operating system.

As part of the installation where you see a box to put the 25 character license activation key, there is a link below that says, I don't have a key.

That's what you need to click to continue installation.

The type of SSD that will be compatible with your laptop depends on some things.

The first is how your laptop comes to market.

The second is that your laptop is an entry level or a top model with advanced features.

The third is based on these interfaces on the card system of your laptop.

Your laptop may have only SATA ports or it may also have an m2 or a mini PCIe connector.

Older notebooks (before 2009) will have only 2.5 possible SATA SSD products as an SSD upgrade option.

It is also dependent on the interface this SSD on your laptop system board and the type of memory and the controller from that your laptop is compatible.

Which can be determined in several ways.

The easiest way I know is to take the guesswork out of the purchase of upgrade.

Which can be done using the information for one SSD manufacturer whose reputation is based on the provision of accurate information to potential customers.

Check online on the Web from Crucial.com website to see what they offer as guaranteed products compatible SSD for your notebook.

With the newer models which are eventually provided with SSD, the Maintenance and Service of Guide disks for each laptop will usually specify what memory and type of SSD drive is compatible.

The Service Guide which has this information and maintenance lies in the support for your laptop computer portal in the section user guide.

Use the product number of your laptop + support as keywords in a Google or other search engine search for the portal.

Memory Crucial site is a great place to find compatible SSD products for your laptop.

Should what brand of SSD I consider? Take a look at the following article.

You may be one of the lucky ones who installed the SSD and boots for the installer and everything is going as planned.

Otherwise, it may not be recognized by the installer of Windows or the BIOS.

Often, an SSD should be prepared before use.

Many members frustrated author here threads in the forums after having this experience.

Hold down the Windows key and press the X key.

    Who calls on a menu.

    Choose command-line (Admin).

Type DiskPart and press to enter.

After the SSD has been prepared and installation began, the Windows Installer will change the drive letter to C: on its own.

In the image below, the disks 2 and 3 are Samsung m2 NVMe SSD.

Some laptops 17 inches come with more than one disk.

Select the disk and using the command list is very important. If not, you could erase the content and the partitions of the disk with the clean command wrong.

If the SSD has a GPT partition and a drive letter is assigned, it will be recognized by Windows install.

Once the SSD has been established, you can start at your choice of media for a clean install, cloning of the OS migration or a resumption of the plant initiated by the use of the recovery media, that you created.

Since 2012, computers laptops were shipped with BIOS, UEFI and GPT partitioned the disk rather than the old BIOS and MBR partition style.

This means that you are using Windows install must also be to format GPT UEFI.

There are free utilities available, such as RUFUS, which can be used with ISO created by Media 10 Microsoft Windows creation tool to create an installer of 10 Windows USB UEFI.

For other versions of Windows RUFUS can also be used to create the type of installer of your choice.
