  We have completed installing and configuring hyperion 11.1.2.1. We noticed unusual behavior in the workspace, all HFM icons are missing from the menu, it's showing some hfm trail. Explore option and the financial report options are also preferences and work space. Can you please advice what could cause this problem?

  Hi Andy,.

  If that's the only problem, there should be no problem since it is part of the configuration process, and do not reconfigure other components except the Foundation web server. This should also fix the explore option.

• Option missing Scan from the control panel for my Officeject HP 8600 pro. How can I get that back?

  I have this printer for a few months now - it works well until today.  Option missing Scan from the control panel for my Officeject HP 8600 pro.

  1. first of all uninstall the software

  • Click on start button, then go to programs > HP > Officejet 8600 and click on Uninstall.

  2. then go to Control Panel > programs and features

  • Officejet 8600-click and then click on uninstall a program
  • 

  3. then download the software on the HP web:

  •  HP Officejet 8600 - drivers and full software features - Windows 7 64 bit

  4 and install with the downloaded software.

  I use hp G42 370TU notebook pc, operating system windows 7 (32). A few days back, my headset & speaker option missing only digital out after staring windows. Speaker option & its available after restarting the laptop for several times. After this problem I download & installed the audio driver of hp. But this problem is not solved. Last updated antivirus software is installed on my laptop. I tried reinstalling windows.sound appear after restarting the laptop of seveal times .but once again, he ran out of closing down or sleep or hibernet. I installed latest & old realtec audio driver available for this laptop.but after the beginning of the digital output only windows & the audio driver is missing also. At that time the troubleshooting of microsoft shows no devices speakers or headphones is not connected.please tell me about the probable solution for this problem.

• BUG: Open with option missing for M4A / ALAC files (OSX)

  I just discovered this bug incredibly frustrating just starting to work with M4A / ALAC (Apple Lossless Audio aka) files. Right click on a such file and by going to the "Open with" menu, hearing is absent from the list. However, manually opening the same file via by dragging the icon of the hearing or the program while open, or even via the command Open Audio in Audition all work fine. These M4A files are converted directly from iTunes. This forum works hearing CC 2014.

  After some research, I found out the reason why. The file Info.plist inside the Audition.app-> content file is apparently not a section of CFBundleTypeExtension for M4A files. Open that file and search for "CFBundleTypeExtensions." You will see a bunch of entries for this type. In fact, this piece of information tells OSX what file extensions/types can open hearing.

  Save the file, restart the computer or rebuild Launch Services database and restart OSX and viola, now when right click on a file M4A, hearing is an option!

  What I want to know from the Adobe developers is, why is this update option missing in the menu 'Open with' first and will it be fixed for the hearing?

  We record every extension we can open.  Many of the extensions that we support are "discovered" during the launch at various libraries installed and plug-ins, we wonder what they take over.  For example of formats supported by QuickTime may change with different QuickTime components install you, and the formats supported by AudioToolbox can change with versions of Mac OS X.

  The extensions that we even do not match in the dialog below.

  

  That being said, we can by adding *.m4a to our default plist.

• Workspace / Application Option missing

  I installed EMP and planning 9.3.1 and configurations have been made without error, I also installed Reporting and Web Analytics to allow to work with the workspace.
  I performed the configuration tasks of position indicated by the "installation guide for analysis and Reporting Hyperion to comply with my SQL/Tomcat Web and Java Server environment.
  I am able to access and successfully test each module individually but when I click on the button "navigate once I open work space I don't see the Applications button.
  
  I did a lot of reading, tried many things and I am still unable to understand this, Can somebody share the light there or throw some ideas my way? whatever it is will be appreciated.

  In the configurator to expand: Foundation Hyperion-> Workspace-> configure the Web server

  Then restart Windows services with the name of workspaces of Hyperion, or Linux, do it in the command-line shell in the space of work/bin. Siddharth thanks for the tip. Strange thing is that I did the planning and workspaces at the same time and it doesn't work. Make the Web server worked only Workspaces.

• AutoPlay - option missing

  New installation of Windows 7 Home Premium:

  When I insert a CD, the Autorun dialog, but there is no option for "open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" (as he used to be in my previous Windows 7 PC, under the section 'General Options' of pop - up). I really feel like this.

  There are several options (play Audio CD, open iTunes, etc., and under General options, the only option is "import pictures and videos using Dropbox"), but not the one I want!

  I tried to change the options of automatic game via Control Panel, but cannot seem to make the option Explorer appear in the pop-up window.

  Just to clarify: I want this option appears in the pop-up window, but not that the computer automatically opens the CD in Explorer. Can I change or toggle Autoplay fine - it's just the missing key option.

  We installed and configured hss, epma, calc, reports and planning and essbase in another server.

  After you have configured all the elements, we are not able to see explore the option in the workspace. has made several attempts to restart and configure the web server too but no luck.

• Printer options missing

  There are some missing options in future versions of Firefox, when the print window appears. I thought it was a problem of printer driver but in firefox 16 options are there, but if I switch to 21 I lose these options. The option which is absent in the screenshot is Auto rotate and Center.   Yes, you are missing the two options that are usually on top: 'open in a new tab' and 'open in a new window '.

  I guess that it is an extension or a wild theme. You can easily test that by starting Firefox with disabled modules: issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode

  You can then disable all extensions and select one by one to figure on which we have the problem. If you don't have time for that and don't care about the extensions, you can just reset Firefox: Firefox Refresh - reset the parameters and modules

  When you open a window and resize it, and then close, the new window will remain the same, until what you restart. Once you restart the computer, this is the default value. There is no option in windows to keep. However, you can try work around here.
   
  Open a window and make it the size you want
  Open a 2nd window and are the same size.

  The 1st window to the front, hold CTRL and click the red X in the upper right corner.
  Close the window of the 2nd in the same way using CTRL.

  You can also restore the default settings of the display of the tools-> Folder Options-> view files-> restore default settings.

  This should solve the problem.

• New folder option missing in vista when right click on

  I have vista 32 bit and just replaced my hard drive and reinstalled my OS.

  I was not able to create new folders.  When I right click on the box, and then click New, "desktop folder" is not there.  When I'm in windows Explorer and click on "organize", "new folder" is there, but when I click it, nothing happens.

  I ran sfc/scannow, and he said that he managed to repair some files.  I then rebooted and the problem is still there.

  I also checked the registry to verify that the desktop of windows update component has been installed and matched: {D969A300-E7FF-11d0-A93B-00A0C90F2719}

• Windows Media Player 11 - right click "Add/enqueue" option missing - cannot load the contents of the folder

  Windows Media Player 11.0.6002.18005 for my Vista 64-bit system worked very well for me.  I could right click on any folder containing my Mp3 files and select 'Add to the reader' or 'enqueue' and it would then open and read my files that are in the folder.

  However, for some reason this right click on the option is now missing from my right click menu.

  Someone knows how to fix this?

  It's a simple solution... I had apparently made a universal change to display the parameters of the files from my Vista, and it removed the 'Music Details' option in the combo box with area to "Customize" options files in the properties...

  I just changed the "Music Details" option for the kind of file, I want it to be... and voila!  .. "Add to Windows Media Player play list" and "Play with Windows Media Player" options are available again for me via a right-click on these files.
