Export a JPEG, maintaining dimensions even.
I'm creating work for Society6. They want the popular jpeg quality with the dimensions of specific pixels for each product. When I go to export to JPEG, the pixel dimensions change. What I'm doing wrong here?
I know I'm on something simple here... I could also save for web and which preserves the dimensions, but that reduces the quality of the image when printing through their system? I'm confused. I don't like any of jpegs, I wish that they would accept all files HAVE!
Any help on that would be great, thanks!
Kristen Britain,
You can do full quality images with save for Web, just use maximum and check the relevant Otimization (hidden) in the window to the size of the Image.

If you want to have the EXIF data available, do not check "minimize metadata" in their export.

export to jpeg permissions problem
Export to jpeg bridge extension works very well except all images are saved with permissions for the group "everyone" with "No Access" - which causes problems to display images for the web. I have to manually change permissions "read only".
I tried to troubleshoot for hours without result. Anyone experience this problem?

Export to JPEG for Web printing
I recently turned Chicago skyline at night and want to make a canvas print out of it (probably impression of Costco, it's my first time). They only accept JPEGs, so I tried to export the image from lightroom as a result. However, I get this strange effect of training in the jpeg format, which I suppose is the compression algorithm. Is there anyway that I can reduce the effect of the compression more? Or will it not serious on a canvas of 16 x 48 print?
It is exported with the ripples jpeg:
This is what it looks like before I export:
I export to JPEG (duh) with sRGB and the slider all the way up to 100.
Add a little noise with effects:
And maybe make some smaller test impressions, cheaper just part of the image that includes the sky and part of a building, to see how good or bad the larger canvas could look like.

Problem of sharpness of image after export to JPEG
Hello
I have a problem of quality after the export of the image. for example in one case, I make a modification, especially at the level of sharpness of an image, after when I exported the JPEG image, there is a large drop in sharpness and more noise.
Knowing that the adjustment of export level everything is good in quality years 100% and type pour inking of high office.
NT: the quality of the Exported JPEG image is the same as the quality of the image in the library and not in development tab.
Thank you
Hi alaeddinea,
Develop module does not profile different color compared to export and it's one of the reasons it's different.
If you can shoot in raw and use the same format for editing the image and then you can export the image as a jpeg of high quality.
Kind regards
Mohit

I've updated to 2015.2 in September and started having problems with freezing while working on the photos. I upgraded my memory from 4 GB to 8 GB and it has disappeared (in most cases); However, I always feel a lot of questions of export of JPEGs (gel) but not tif files? Very frustrating. Tried to install the new updates but my creative cloud is just a blank page?
Hello
I think you are referring to the white empty window of CC desktop application.
Please refer to the threads below where this issue has been addressed:

Error message after completing the export to JPEG
In Lightroom 6 windows 7 64 bit, I get an error message after the export is complete. Export to JPEG files are not affected or impaired, but this message is an annoyance that reflects that something is wrong.
Advice or help will be appreciated
Thank you very much for the mhoffman2001 patch, I followed the explanation without any problem and here's what I applied.
No more error messages thank you.

Hello.
I've been using InDesign CC (2014) for awhile with no problems until recently when I tried to export to JPEG and I now have only the option to export to PDF. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I tried a few things already with no success...
The upgrade of my BŒUF to 10.10.3
Restart my InDesign while removing my preferences/settings
Try different documents to see if my file has been tampered
Is it just time to upgrade my Mac. It is a mid-2011?
I have no other problems with the suite Adobe... just that!
Thanks in advance...
I don't know if you've used the appropriate method for the restoration of your InDesign preferences. Use this method (if you haven't already done so):
Garbage, replace, reset or restore the application's preferences
If this does not work, try uninstalling InDesign (you can find it on the creative cloud app), or or find an uninstall program in the folder InDesign CC 2014. Then install again.

Specific export in JPEG artboard?
Hello!
See title - is it possible?
I made this little script to test a few things before moving on to greater things (some of them have been cut, because it is not important):
var exportOptions = new ExportOptionsJPEG(); var type = ExportType.JPEG; var fileSpec = new File(dest); exportOptions.antiAliasing = false; exportOptions.qualitySetting = 70; exportOptions.artboardRange = "3"; app.activeDocument.exportFile( fileSpec, type, exportOptions );
I am trying to export the work plan #3 to the JPEG format. But it does not work.
According to the scripts, most reference guide of "ExportOptions"-functions supported by the artboardRange parameter, but alas - JPEG does not work. ""Is there another way to do this? Right now I get only all work plans into a single JPEG file, which is not what I'm looking for :-)
BR,
Thomas

Specific artboard of export in JPEG - is it possible?
Don't know if it's the only approach but, try this:
// Remove this line: // exportOptions.artboardRange = "3"; // ------------------------------ // Replace instead with the following 2 lines of code: // ------------------------------ // Set clipping true exportOptions.artBoardClipping = true; // Set the desired artboard number ((using 0 through length) 0=1, 1=2, 2=3, etc...)) app.activeDocument.artboards.setActiveArtboardIndex(2); // so 2 would be artboard 3
Seems to work very well in my tests. Hope this is useful for your efforts.

I have ams trying to export several JPEG files, all 1.2 MB, with a size limit of 80 KB file, without success. Why? Lightroom 4, trial version.
Thank you

Yes, you might have to reduce the resolution. Try checking "Resize to fit" and choose something like 300 x 300.

LR3 - Export in JPEG then add to the collection and replace existing?
Is this possible? I know how to export to JPEG, and then add the file in my collection, but is it possible to get it to automatically replace the image I just exported, also delete its settings? Basically just update the original file.
Thank you
I could give you several reasons why this is not a good idea, and also why it is beating all the non-destructive nature of Lightroom...
But no, I don't think that there is an automated way to do it. You must do this manually, but not worth it, it's just not a good idea. Just edit the photo in LR and the modified version appears in your collection, without export and by replacing the existing. Its much easier than what you propose.
