• Saving files from After Effects to CC for use on other machines.

  I am very very new to After Effects, so I'm sure there is a simple solution to my question.  I recently attempted to save a file from After Effects on Dropbox to transfer easily to another machine, however when I went to open this file on the new machine, several documents in the file, it was missing (png, fonts, scripts etc...).  I suspected that the reason for it is because the png and the fonts were used by AE as they were stored on the original machines and have not actually imported (or copied) in the AE file, so when I went to open the file on the computer again the files were missing that they were not installed on the new machine (is this correct?).  If I record the creative cloud AE files will be I experience this problem? I'll be able to open the AE files on another computer that does not have fonts reference, PNG, jpeg etc. available?

  Yes, AE projects contain only references to external resources. That's why you should pack in full e.g. usind the option collect files. The procedures do not differ to any method that you use, so you better get used to and organize your work in a way so it can be transferred easily.

  before I could have imported the mpeg-2 files in after effects cc made an update about four days ago and now I can't import mpeg-2 files. get only error "the file is damaged or not supported. I uninstall and reinstall clean cloth and complete works and it still didn't work. was tempted to buy online, but adobe says they feature is not supported on my area. I'm in Trinidad in the Caribbean and have an international visa card that still works fine with other purchases. Please help it is so frustrating. now, I can't finish my clip that works on.   After effects CC trial has expired?

  You are allowed to launch after effects CC once after the 30 day trial period is expired, but when you do one a bug exists in this State: MPEG2 files cannot be read or written.

  You can have many compositions of AE related dynamically in a Premiere Pro sequence. Just select an item (or multiple clips) in the Assembly of the sequence, right-click, then choose replace with After Effects Composition.

  Note: this is not how I would do, but that's what you ask and a lot of people do it this way.

  I just usually copy and paste clips from first in an AE project, working on it in AE and then make it in an intermediate codec in AE render queue and bring back the file obtained in the first.

  Again, I'm not quite clear on what you're asking. You can certainly do AE work and drop it in your Premiere Pro sequence.

  I'm not sure. Move your time indicator current far in your composition.

  It might behoove you to read the help on work with Premiere Pro AE file.

  I am having some problems with After Effects I can't understand. I have a video in .avi that loads and plays fine in itself, but when I import to change in After Effects 5.5, I get strange during playback, and even artifacts reflect in the final export.   I have a project that is a series of snapshots of time that has been edited in Final Cut Pro.  I used that I created (.cr2) original raw files to JPEG files editing.  I used to send the edit in After Effects (CS5) to do things that I can't do in FCP Automatic Duck and I want to replace the JPEG images with the color correction for raw files.  When I select multiple JPEG files in my project window, I can't replace one of the clips.  If I select a single jpeg, I can bring up the window replaced and I find myself with 2 options.  The first creates a sequence of images, which works for some of my shots (although I always put those in the composition, essentially a re-release of the song), but for many others, I do not use all of the images in the time or ignore some here and there.  I also mix the lengths of framework in several sequences, with the help of different lengths of 1s, 2s, 3S and 4s, etc., in order to have AE create a sequence of images from raw files does not work.  The other option is replaing each file one by one, but with thousands of images, it is not really an option.  I tried the script of the Immigration of aescripts.com but that is not what I need to do either.  I'm sure the solution is under my nose, but any help is greatly appreciated.

  There is no 3D objects in AE. Your only option in the suites Adobe will: OBJ/3DS/Collada (DAE)--> Photoshop Extended--> save PSD 3D--> 3D in AE PSD Import - not so little limitations. For everything else, just conventionally work in your 3D program and restore the images composite on your bottom plates.

  Hello, this seems to be a silly, but since the "after effects CC 2014' update my rendered files appear to be huge in comparison file that I made before the update!

  I didn't see why the update would have adjusted my preferences for rendering, but it must have been like a 2 min clip that made 140 MB before is now 10 GB!

  My knowledge of codecs and compression is limited, but I had a good "Preset" before the update that now seems to have changed (although I've still been made h.264/full audio quality/no so I do not understand how the size of the file can change so drastically).

  Everyone knows something similar?

  If this isn't the case, could you please tell me how to get these files to an appropriate size. As I said, they have to be h.264, 1920 x 1080 with no audio.
