Export InDesign PDF problem

Export PDF in InDesign CS6 gives thin and light text. I need an accurate rendering in pdf for publication on paper. The quality is imperative. Can you please help?  I use creative Cloud applications.

Larry,

Thank you very much.  Indeed, I have set my Adobe Acrobat and Reader as you suggested.  Problem solved!

  • Export Indesign PDFs too big size

    Hello forums!

I got stuck on a new problem. I work in Indesign, when I export to PDF, the pdf export files size is too large. I tried downsample when exporting to PDF, but does not reduce the size (even I choose pdf size smaller, but no luck). I have 33 images links in Indesign.

Please help me how to do this... I know how to do with downsample, reduce the size in Acrobat, but this option doesn't help me at all.

    Hoping for your good advice...

    Thanking you in advance

It sounds like you're using pictures eps links in Indesign. If so try to change to a different format as .png, .jpg, etc... and update the extension of links in Indesign PNG or jpg (to do this in Indesign, you must select all the images in criminal link and choose Relink file extension) and export your file and see what happens.

    Thank you

  • CS4 export to PDF problem

I'm the editor of layout for my high school newspaper, and we recently had a new imac. We put cs4 on it and made our first page.

I exported to PDF (with the same settings as on the old mac that works very well) and all the headlines turned to black boxes. We then took the form of indesign files the new mac put it on the former and exported out of that old and everything went well. Note the black boxes.http://imgur.com/eOdm9yG

    That's what went wrong...

    That's what we want...http://imgur.com/qdIDQQM

Thanks in advance for any help

I return to my computer. I see the boxes here and it's certainly a kind of problem of availability of fonts, if she says that the police is incorporated. If I select and change the font of the text appears.

The fonts in question are HelveticaNeue HelveticaNeue-Bold and HelveticaNeue - Italic (TT). Here are the versions of the Mac of Helvetica Neue systems?

CS4 is fully patched on the new system?

  • Export InDesign PDF to the network server becomes invisible

    Hello

Just upgraded to InDesign CS5. When I export a PDF document and post on network server, it becomes invisible. I don't know this because when I exporter export on my desktop, and then drag in the network folder, it gives me an error message that it cannot replace an invisible file. So I found a way to display the file invisible, trashed it, then led one on my desktop in the network folder. Worked well. I would prefer not to have to do this EVERY time I have export to PDF. Someone at - it experience with this issue? Help?

I think I found the answer. On the mac who has had this problem connect the shared drive/server was using Apple file Protocol (AFP) instead of the SMB protocol. Once we changed the connection to this AFP in SMB server all our Mac computers can save directly to the server and files are visible. I hope this helps.

  • Export to PDF problem - need urgent help

People - please can someone help me please. I have a tight deadline to get something to print.

My HDD on my PC went this week with a plop. New drive is everything and running with Adober Creative Suite 5 and Adobe Acrobat 9 pro all recharged.

I can't print a page (that was no problem on my previous installation) to export to PDF, so I think I have a wrong setting somewhere in Illustrator.

I am trying to export as PDF Print this file .

And it comes out in the PDF file with a fair bit of missing text, like this.

I am panicing that I must do this for the printers in the next hour. Is there someone who can help me solve the problem please?

Try CS5 update to 7.0.4.  It exports to quality very well here...

  • Problem with .png with transperencies export InDesign PDF files

We did a layout-design, with transparent png. In the past, when we have exported this indesign doc as PDF X 3-2003 we never had problems with it (using earlier versions of Indesign).

Unfortunately with the latest version of Indesign, we have ugly boxes in our last print issue, which give as if 100% Transp. would decline about 90%.

Also, the large print service company has not any expaination for this. We use the latest series of CC portfolio.

It has not tried .tiff files with alpha channels yet, since our production pipeline is based on png files, and it worked.

If anyone has a similar problem, I'd be interested to hear:

I think that it is connected to this http://indesignsecrets.com/eliminating-ydb-yucky-discolored-box-syndrome.php

Similarly, if you work with PNGS in InDesign for printing, you should use PSD files as PNG does not support color management, only the alpha transparency, this is only a selection of transparency, which can support PDF.

In InDesign, you should in aspects of quality import PDFS, I, PSD and avoid EPS.

  • Problem: export Indesign pdf does not show pictures

    Hello

Earlier this week I asked something of the master (Indesign) thanks to your answers that I could quickly finish my book!

But now another problem occurred: when I export my indesign layout in pdf format, a few jpeg images (first scanned into the computer, put it in indesign) are being shown really good in indesign, but export, only half of the image! I wonder why...

I downloaded a Wordfile instead of the original pdf file because of size. In the wordfile you can see 3 simple viewed pages 49,54 and 55.

The photos are hand drawn and scanned, but they do not appear in Indesign, then why (some) not in pdf format? Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

    Mirjam

Scanning and using Word may be part of the problem. When you say 'cut' do you mean to put in the Clipboard, and then paste in InDesign, or do you mean "reframe" like cutting off the unwanted image parts?

Can you analyze the images and record directly to disk in jpeg or tiff? It is best to use a good image like Photoshop Editor to clean scans, but if this is not available, you can "Place" the images directly in InDesign and do your cropping it.

  • Export InDesign CC problem in epub images

I have a problem with an epub in InDesign CC 2014. It has images placed in the text and some do not display correctly when the book is exported to epub.

I have attached a picture to show what's happening. The image is repeated in part at the top and then cut down.

This is not the case with all the pictures in the book.

The book is set up with a document of a book containing separate coverage, introduction, content files and each chapter in InDesign.

Each image was inserted in the text by me setting a return in the document formatted with a style of photo to the center of the image and put a few abova space and below the image and then placing the image of this paragraph mark. I have not formatted the images in any other way, and some had to be reduced to fit on the pages of the book. Most of the images that were brought down show very well, but we have this problem. Another SOM that is installed on the page that they were inserted into the images I have this problem of repetition.

I have exported the recomposable epub and then I used the standard export ID CC for the epub parameters.

It seems to me that created for the epub CSS is dealing with images as background images and repeating. I looked in the code for the epub and did not see where this is going well.

I've done several ePub for the customer even files with the images inserted in the text as this, and other ePub files did not have this error with the images.

Is someone can you please tell me why this is happening now?

    1.12.jpg

I found the solution to this myself.

You must set the images in the epub to export in png. The problem goes away.

I found this as a hint on a forum somewhere else after having done a lot of research. I can't find the link to the forum at the moment, but if I do I'll post it here as well.

Problem solved and the customer is happy.

You question with two pages on indesign one replicate with transparency and the other without.

  • Illustrator CS 2 batch export to PDF problem

I try to get Illustrator to export batch a number of EPS files to PDF files, but I'm having a problem.  The first file will save - as thin and out in PDF format, but each successive file registers as an .ai file and not as a PDF file.

The action is recorded as follows:

  • Export to PDF problem type Keynote

    Hello

I'm trying to export a Keynote presentation in PDF format for a customer leave-behind, and the PDF file appears not all fonts correctly. Some slides were simple text boxes Adobe Reader and Acrobat rendered as complete gibberish. Other screens have spreadsheets of numbers that I exported successfully to PDF (who make very well separately), but when the PDF has fallen into a keynote slide and then exported again as a PDF of the overall presentation, they turn into an unreadable mess.

I saw error messages when you open the PDF in Acrobat, like this:

"Failed to retrieve the embedded police 'DKUXBZ + MyriadPro-It'. Some characters may not display or print correctly. »

But I don't know what ' DKUXBZ + ' means. My Myrad Pro works fine in all my other apps.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    D

I guess that you have upgraded to Mac OS X 10.6.7. If yes there is a bug affecting the OpenType PostScript like Myriad Pro Italic fonts.

You can read about the problem here:

    http://www.tidbits.com/article/12078

The solution is to use a different font (not OpenType) or return to 10.6.6.

  • Images high resolution that I matter IIN indesign appear in a definition very mlauvaise to the screen and once exported to pdf, they are still quite far from the original. Perhaps to remedy these problems.

Images high resolution that I import in indesign appear in a very bad definition on-screen and when exported to pdf, they are still quite far from the original. Perhaps to address these problems?

The bad export quality could be linked to the pre-selection of PFD you have chosen. Some of the presets are designed to re - sample images to make a smaller final PDF

You are mixing color profiles a-place, or document workspace does not match the destination to export space is incompatible.

  • InDesign CS6 crashing when exporting to PDF (not problem of fonts)

I tried to export my PDF with all the different types of settings. It is only an 8-page document. It has about 15 jpg low resolution in it. I used a font Adobe stock. There are several hyperlinks in the file, but for most it is just text. I have no idea how to solve this problem. And of course, I need it to work tomorrow. I get a message saying error it is the overlay text on 3 of 8 pages, but I don't think it's something that could cause this problem. Any ideas? Thank you!

  • 6 inDesign crashes when you export a PDF file

I get the same report of crash for days, every time I try to export a PDF in InDesign CS6. I don't know what is happening with this particular file, but can I export other files without problem. I have deleted all links .indd and .ai and does not use the new fonts that won't export in other files. I tried to export single pages and the whole document, in different resolutions, and it crashes every time. I stuck my last report of accident here: INDESIGN 6 CRASH REPORT - Pastebin.com

Export the file to IDML and open that.

Note also that you must patch InDesign (help > updates) and CS6 is not taken in charge at 10.11.
