Export proxy

Has anyone run tests to confirm that Premiere Pro is actually using the original media and not proxies for export, even if we forget to switch back to original in the sequence?

I did a test of export, and it has indeed exported media full ground, while it is displayed/hidden to the proxy. Is - it does not work for you?

  • What are the best settings to export a master 4K of a proxy scenario 4 k/720 p?

    Hello

I am running PPCC 2015.3 on a Mac Pro 2009 with SSD, RAID and a GTX680.

My first foray into 4 k is with the media to a Sony FS5 a Phantom 4 drone (as well as some of my old FS700 and an EX1)

I start with a copy of all media on a RAID 0 and ingest pp using a 720 p ProRes proxy "Preset" (also stored on RAID proxy files).

When I "Select new sequences of Clip", PP creates a sequence based on the "Red Cinema" with video previews of 3840 x 2160 properties and video of "I-frame only MPEG" at 1920 x 1080.

The timeline changes well and renders smoothly (even in 4 k with toggle proxy), although modified AE clips take a while to render.

But, when I come to export a master file with the best resolution of source or 4 k, what settings should I use?

If I select "Match séquence Setting" I of course only get 1080 p.

If I select "Quick Time > Match Source" bombards it with a predefined error "video stream of the source file are not compatible with this preset! What!

Yes, is there a "Preset" that I can use to easily produce a master file 4 k that can be used for future purposes?

    Concerning

    Martin

I think I misread your original message.

For a master file, you definitely want something better than H.264.  Normally, I create files UT to do this, because they are without loss and play well with any software on my system.

  • Workflow proxy: export by using proxies?

I see that when you use the Proxy workflow, it still uses media export full resolution. It is very good for the final cut, but during the export of crude cuts really makes exports need a whole lot more - 3 x more time on my tests. Would be great if it was an option left to the user to export full resolution - rather than make a workaround solution where to change the location of the original media to force it to export with proxies using proxies of the media.

    Test - export sequence of 3 minutes 4 k with scale 5 k R3Ds (proxy are 1080 p ProRes Proxy)

    Export of proxy (1080 p mp4) - 05:55

    Export of media on the origin (1080 p mp4) - 15:05

Yes, export uses now always full resolution if full resolution and Proxy clips are online. The other possible workaround solution is to select all the clips in the project Panel or sequence, right-click and select make offline. This will make also all the Full Res clips Offline, which will force the export of Proxy.

We tried the support workflow features and limitations known in our documentation, understand that we could not possibly cover all workflows in this version. Is there a feature open request to select what you want to export, without using workarounds in offline mode. I'll add your name to it.

  • Do I need to import in order to export my final product as optimized media as media optimized?

    Hello FCPX community!

Please let me know if my reasoning is correct here:

When I upload images that the original and proxy, which means that I can see the project in one of these two codec I'm editing. When I export the final result as Apple Pro Res 422 or more, the exported project will be visible as media optimized.

I do not need to import as media optimized in order to export as optimized media. Import as an optimized media only allows me to see the project as optimized media that I am editing.

    Am I wrong?

I uploaded a bunch of images in my project as original and proxy, and the project is now nearly complete. The problem here is that if I need to transcode all media optimized, there are a lot of images and will take much time because I recorded several hours in 4 k footage. I have an old Mac here at work...

    Thank you for your time.

I do not need to import as media optimized in order to export as optimized media.

That is right. If you export a master file in ProRes, you export what has basically optimized media.

  • sec_error_bad_signature only through proxy for https Web site

    Hello

I tried to open the website https through the proxy of the company, but it does not work.

It happened only with firefox. Chrome & IE is quite fine.

    Thanks for teaching.

    Khoa.

I was suggesting to the certificate information link, but there is a clue that you are using Zscaler. We had a thread indicating that you can export the certificates from the Windows (via IE or Chrome) certificate store and then import them into Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/986876

I'm not sure whether that is documented in detail anywhere, but please note:

    • In the certificate Viewer, IE or Chrome, click on cert Zscaler you want to export in the Certification Path tab and use the button view the certificate to open it directly.
    • Click on the Details tab, and then click the Copy to file button. This will start the Export Wizard. Use the DER format and save to a convenient location.

When you are finished with all exports needed to complete the chain in the Certification path, you can import the certificates into the References of Firefox tab:

    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced > mini-onglet Certificates > "View certificates" button > mini-onglet References > button "import".
    • I suggest allowing the certificate for Web only, unless your IT suggests otherwise

Fixing a few screenshots for reference.

  • Office proxy firewall monitor secure connections (https) and send their own certificate instead of the certificate of the Web site

Firefox works fine on my home network or while I connect to the internet directly via data card. However, @ my office use us proxy and for almost all sites (even google search) Firefox stops saying "this connection is untrusted".

Attached are the screenshot for the same thing to help him to help me.

I search a lot and was closest to you that I came to this url https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/978722

Is there a way to Firefox to add office proxy certificate in the certificate chain (don't know if that will help?)

How to solve this? Kindly advice.

I think most of the proxies work similarly: they generate a false certificate to the site and have your browser so that they can decrypt and inspect the traffic between you and the site. It is a hassle to have to make exceptions for individual certificates of false - it is more effective to recognize the certificate that the proxy uses to sign false certificates as valid a certificate authority.

The trick is to identify this certificate. It might be easier to go to IE or Chrome, since both use the Windows certificate store (Firefox uses its own). By inspecting the certificate for a secure site and the certificate used to sign, you may be able to identify and to export this certificate (DER format or .cer).

In Firefox, you who would incorporate in the section of the authorities in the Certificates dialog box:

    "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced > mini-onglet Certificates > "View certificates" button > mini-onglet References > "Import..." button »

Of course, it is probably safer to check with your COMPUTER that you've found and exported the correct certificate before you import it into Firefox.

  • proxy server annoy 7.6.7 update?

Hi all. Got an old school time Capsule. Not sure if it's the 2nd or 3rd gen. In any case, whatever it is, it should support the 7.6.7 recent firmware update. But the update does not appear, and I wonder if it's all of the parameters of the proxy server and things, that I am forced to use at school. Any ideas? I guess I could bring home and... what? I have to change all the settings and stuff right? Well, any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.

I doubt it's just a proxy firewall to protect the school system seems more likely.

You can certainly take it home and do the update it.

It's simple export the existing configuration of the TC via the menu at the top of the airport utility.

Then reset it at home to fit your network and once updated to restore the configuration to the school.

Please note... improvements on any firmware you have now are probably minimal (non-existent).

A 2nd or 3rd gen TC is now ancient history and likely to die tomorrow.

I can tell where download the firmware... then you can upgrade manually.

But to do that I need to know which version exactly the TC's.

In airport utility, hold down the option key and click the icon... you'll see brief page... in the top line with the version.

Or get the number of A1xxx of the basic cast in the first line of rubber.

WSA is a Entrust cert but not for L1K.

You might want to export this certificate on your local computer and imported to the proxy HTTPS WSA Custom certificates of trust.

Normally, I used Firefox and not using WSA as a proxy as the initial connection can get the cert of the remote site and save it locally and import it on the WSA HTTPS cert.

You can view log HTTPS thus in WSA and set the debug logging level for more details like why is a failure.

  • Do daily with new ingest of proxy settings

    Hi all!

I have a macbook pro, adorned in 2014 and I am wanting to find a great workflow for the production of newspapers with first new pro ingest parameters. (If possible)

I would like to know if someone could point me in the right direction to add a lut, synchronize images proxies within the first. Is it possible now? You can import a Lut for the first and apply it on the new sucked by parameters as proxies? And synchronize images as well?

Let me know! I'd like to see if this is possible. Ingest of proxy and transcoding looks like a really cool direction adobe is headed with first.

    Thank you!

    Alex Zingaro

You will need to do the hard.  Import, add effects, synchronization, export.

If you lose the synchronization of the workflow game, it could be done automatically.  But the automatic method only works if the audio and video are in a single file.

  • Transcoding - issue of beginner on export

Hi, I'm changing some videos of a Sony A7. The files I have are mp4, and I work on Premiere Pro on a Macbook from 2008 for the preview in the monitor source files are quite slow. So I think to transcode to Prores with prelude, but I'm not sure of the workflow: basically, my question is.

Once I edited with these new Prores files, exporting to the original quality of mp4?

Is the equally good Prores or should I put a link to the original somehow files export?

A clumsy way, that I thought to do is to remove/hide the Prores files when I finished and then reconnect the mp4s when the first pushes me for missing files. But it feels like there must be a way to do it - or, because I can't find answers about it, maybe I should just export the finished version Prores project.

Any thoughts, please? Thank you! -Graeme.

Once I edited with these new Prores files, exporting to the original quality of mp4?

A very important thing to note is that you can never "export the original mp4 quality."  MP4 is not a format that maintains the quality of the image over several generations.  It is good enough for a large search 1 file generation that won't require correction of strong colors or effects work more late or need to hold up several generations of transcoding.

ProRes is a CODEC which can export to "original quality".  Or, more precisely, to the quality that is identical to the original.  This is the important part and one of the reasons to transcode MP4 source footage to ProRes format for editing.  Over several generations, MP4 will not maintain as ProRes will be the quality of the image.  Because you can't shoot ProRes in 1st place with your Sony A7 (in a perfect workflow, you would), you want to convert it to a CODEC is higher quality for your MP4 files editing (and I'm sure you've noticed, much larger in file size).

As you work on a 2008 MacBook, you should see better performance with ProRes on MP4 as well.

So, you would simply change ProRes and shaped then export what you need (a master edited ProRes, a H264 for AppleTV, a H264 for YouTube, a MPEG2 for DVD, etc.).

Is the equally good Prores or should I put a link to the original somehow files export?

The ProRes is better than MP4.  Once you have converted to ProRes, you'd stay ProRes.  However, ProRes cannot put anything back in the original file compression has already taken way.  The trickiest part is that your original file probably seems well to the human eye when, in fact, a lot of Visual information that couldn't be here has been removed.

In your workflow (MP4, Transcoder ProRes, ProRes shoot edit), you would never go back (i.e. linking) the originals of the camera.  (Of course, treat your camera as the originals.  Check them so that you always have them.)

Since cut you on a 2008 MacBook, I'm a bit hesitant to recommend that you try a workflow replacing shooting MP4, then by changing the MP4s in ProRes sequence.

Media Encoder vs vs first prelude for conversion

If you just want to convert what you shot with your Sony A7 to Apple ProRes, use Media Encoder.  You must manually install the Apple ProRes presets (why creative cloud does not handle this suggests) also while using a Mac OS X version that requires no Final Cut Studio to install (which is not that it is a problem in your case that you are already able to convert to ProRes format).  The ProRes presets are also specific to the version of Premiere Pro you are using (CS6, CC or CC 20141 and more).

To get the ProRes soul presets:

    Adobe Media Encoder

Then scroll down to the section "add-on".

If you want to view your images and convert only what you will use in your editing (in other words, choose "selects" for editing), use the prelude.  Subclip, you want to use and convert.

Of course, you can queue a batch conversion and/or convert subclips in Premiere Pro as well.  Simply select the clip or subclip (s), then export media.

    After all that...

You may have noticed the link than Ann published in the new Proxy feature in a previous forum post.  In addition to being on an old and slow, machine edition original MP4 and then by converting just what you used in your edit in ProRes via the new feature of Proxy should work as well that help preserve loss of image quality.

  • Convergent Odyssey 8 channels Audio errors on first 2015.3 Proxy

So I try to use images of Convergent Design Odyssey 7 q +.  I have the latest firmware on the Odyssey in which all the video files are failing to 8 audio recording channels.  It is an option greyed and saving some files, in my case, a file of Sony, he let me only to record 8 channels of audio.  Not less.  When I import a file saved in the first, everything is as it should be.  When I try to create a proxy of the new feature of Adobe proxy, I get an error.  Invalid audio type.  The H.264 preset does not support 8-channel audio.  If I change to a quicktime it creates a proxy very well, it's just much more.

Anyone could create their own preset who ignore the extra 6 audio channels?  Or someone else has experienced this with a work around?

The current Proxy workflow doe requires audio channel mapping and you have already noted, export H.264 does not support the 8 audio channels, but QuickTime does. You can select a codec and settings in QuickTime so that the file size smaller, if that's what you want. for example: Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy) with a smaller image divisible by your original media size.

This will give you the file size reduced, to maintain good quality and is a codec that is well suited for the editing.

  • Premiere Pro 2015.3 transcode Vs Proxy

    Hey,.

Recently I've been tested a new workflow using the feature to ingest it in first.  I did tests with the two Ingest functions: transcode and create Proxy and I was wondering what would be the differences.  For me, I was able to be bound to the transcoded/Proxy images, both were in ProRes 1080 p format and had no problem with the media.  Then connected to the Raw and made the file and was complete.

If I can create the same setting for a film of transcoding and Proxy, then what would be the benefits of one or the other.

    Thank you

Transcode will create intermediate files, that you can use for final export.  If you move or delete the original media, not a big deal.

Proxy will create low resolution formats that you shouldn't use for final export.  (PP is smart enough to switch automatically to the original media when exporting).  If you move or delete the original media, it's bad.
