export to JPEG problem

I'm having a problem with export to JPEG. I have InDesign CS2 on Mac OS X version 10.5.

I tried to export from InDesign to JPEG in high quality or maximum quality, but it will export any quality at only 72 dpi, I select. As I remember, I could export to 300 dpi or more res JPEG in the past. I don't know what was wrong with my computer.

Thank you.

You remember wrong, it has always been like that.

To get a real quality JPEG your best option is to export to PDF and convert with Photoshop or similar software.

  • Export to JPEG problem. Corrupt background

    Hello, I got to design an album of wedding, and when I export the pages in JPEG format to print to send to the laboratory, on some pages where I have colors of the gradient on the background (as for example, ranging from pale pink to white) in the final output jpeg, the background looks like a bunch of stripes of color and gradient of not at all. It's like a combination of stripes, about a half-inch and other fines. It's a complete mess. The images within frames on top of the background seem very well; It is only the background.  Is there a setting that I should be aware, or is this a bug?

    Thanks for your help.

    The printer accepts formats other than jpeg? Take PDF? ID is not known for its excellent jpeg export.

    If you use JPEG, you should probably PDF to export first, then open in Photoshop to rasterize and convert to JPEG.

    Hi alaeddinea,

    Develop module does not profile different color compared to export and it's one of the reasons it's different.

    If you can shoot in raw and use the same format for editing the image and then you can export the image as a jpeg of high quality.

  • My InDesign CC 2014 are not exported in jpeg format... only in PDF. Any ideas?

    Hello.

    I've been using InDesign CC (2014) for awhile with no problems until recently when I tried to export to JPEG and I now have only the option to export to PDF. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    I tried a few things already with no success...

    The upgrade of my BŒUF to 10.10.3

    Restart my InDesign while removing my preferences/settings

    Try different documents to see if my file has been tampered

    Is it just time to upgrade my Mac. It is a mid-2011?

    I have no other problems with the suite Adobe... just that!

    Thanks in advance...

    I don't know if you've used the appropriate method for the restoration of your InDesign preferences. Use this method (if you haven't already done so):

    Garbage, replace, reset or restore the application's preferences

    If this does not work, try uninstalling InDesign (you can find it on the creative cloud app), or or find an uninstall program in the folder InDesign CC 2014. Then install again.

  • Export to JPEG for Web printing

    I recently turned Chicago skyline at night and want to make a canvas print out of it (probably impression of Costco, it's my first time). They only accept JPEGs, so I tried to export the image from lightroom as a result. However, I get this strange effect of training in the jpeg format, which I suppose is the compression algorithm. Is there anyway that I can reduce the effect of the compression more? Or will it not serious on a canvas of 16 x 48 print?

    It is exported with the ripples jpeg:

    help1.PNG

    This is what it looks like before I export:

    help2.PNG

    I export to JPEG (duh) with sRGB and the slider all the way up to 100.

    Add a little noise with effects:

    And maybe make some smaller test impressions, cheaper just part of the image that includes the sky and part of a building, to see how good or bad the larger canvas could look like.

  • How to export the JPEG to CMYK in LR3?

    How to export the JPEG to CMYK in LR3?

    You pouvez save a JPEG file to CMYK from the printing in LR6 Module.

  • Export a JPEG, maintaining dimensions even.

    I'm creating work for Society6. They want the popular jpeg quality with the dimensions of specific pixels for each product. When I go to export to JPEG, the pixel dimensions change. What I'm doing wrong here?

    I know I'm on something simple here... I could also save for web and which preserves the dimensions, but that reduces the quality of the image when printing through their system? I'm confused. I don't like any of jpegs, I wish that they would accept all files HAVE!

    Any help on that would be great, thanks!

    Kristen Britain,

    You can do full quality images with save for Web, just use maximum and check the relevant Otimization (hidden) in the window to the size of the Image.

  • Specific export in JPEG artboard?

    Hello!

    See title - is it possible?

    I made this little script to test a few things before moving on to greater things (some of them have been cut, because it is not important):

            var exportOptions = new ExportOptionsJPEG();
            var type = ExportType.JPEG;
            var fileSpec = new File(dest);
            exportOptions.antiAliasing = false;
            exportOptions.qualitySetting = 70;
            exportOptions.artboardRange = "3";
            app.activeDocument.exportFile( fileSpec, type, exportOptions );

    I am trying to export the work plan #3 to the JPEG format. But it does not work.

    According to the scripts, most reference guide of "ExportOptions"-functions supported by the artboardRange parameter, but alas - JPEG does not work. ""

    Is there another way to do this? Right now I get only all work plans into a single JPEG file, which is not what I'm looking for :-)

    Don't know if it's the only approach but, try this:

    // Remove this line:
    // exportOptions.artboardRange = "3";
    // ------------------------------
    // Replace instead with the following 2 lines of code:
    // ------------------------------
    // Set clipping true
    exportOptions.artBoardClipping = true;
    // Set the desired artboard number ((using 0 through length) 0=1, 1=2, 2=3, etc...))
    app.activeDocument.artboards.setActiveArtboardIndex(2); // so 2 would be artboard 3

    Seems to work very well in my tests. Hope this is useful for your efforts.

    Yes, you might have to reduce the resolution.  Try checking "Resize to fit" and choose something like 300 x 300.

  • LR3 - Export in JPEG then add to the collection and replace existing?

    Is this possible? I know how to export to JPEG, and then add the file in my collection, but is it possible to get it to automatically replace the image I just exported, also delete its settings? Basically just update the original file.

    Thank you

    I could give you several reasons why this is not a good idea, and also why it is beating all the non-destructive nature of Lightroom...

    But no, I don't think that there is an automated way to do it. You must do this manually, but not worth it, it's just not a good idea. Just edit the photo in LR and the modified version appears in your collection, without export and by replacing the existing. Its much easier than what you propose.
