Export to PhotoShop

Is the preferred method of creating with Illustrator and then editing with Photoshop:

File > export, then choose. PSD?

I'm quite familiar with Illustrator,

still not PhotoShop still used...

strange, I'm sure.

Say that your photoshop canvas size is 15 x 10 cm, represented by the dots here.

You want to copy the blue and orange shapes in Photoshop, each on its respective layer and in the same position relative to each other.

Draw these little magenta squares so that they line up on opposite corners of a rectangle of 15 x 10.

First copy the blue form with the magenta squares and paste it in PS then orange and magenta squares.

Remove the squares of each layer

Now you have them to sign up on the 2 layers in Photoshop, and you can give each layer etc. effects.

The other point is that you can copy a picture hidden in Illie which is larger than the 15 x 10 area in the direction or both.

It could look like this, where the orange is the inconspicuous a placed image hidden:

If you try to paste it into PS, Photoshop will always try to adapt it on the canvas.

Make sure that you enter the 100% figure (bound vertical and horizontal) in the control of Options at the top of the Photoshop window bar.

Click the check mark button and drag the pasted layer until it is aligned with the corners of the canvas.

These magenta places still work :-)

  • Create hyperlinks in PS CS6 - export as Photoshop PDF

    Hello world here!

I design my PDF documents in Photoshop CS6 due to graphic content heavy involved in it and then I export via Photoshop PDF. I am wanting to make hyperlinks in my text so that a display of the PDF file will be able to click on the text or image and it will open a Web site.

(e.g. click here to like us on Facebook!) With the "here" being the hyperlink.

    How should we do this?

    Hi Adam

Unfortunately, you can not place hyperlinks in a Photoshop document and export to PDF.  You can of course create the work in Photoshop, but to use a hypertext link, you must use an application like InDesign, or even MS Word or MS Publisher.

  • Is there a way to export my photoshop brushes, actions etc so I can import these worms a new version upgrade from my computer? [was: Saving Photoshop]

    Good evening

Is there a way to export my photoshop brushes, actions etc so I can import these worms a new version upgrade from my computer?

    Best regards

Bruce, good to see you posting here.  I thought we had lost you on the Illustrator forum!

I'm doing exactly what Bruce said, and copy the contents of

    C:\Users\User name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe 2014\Presets\Brushes CC in Photoshop

In another folder.  He doesn't come to much in material megabytes and also acts as a return to the top.   These display in alphabetical order when you open the Panel brush options, so I rename my brush sets so they appear grouped by category, but still leaving enough of the file name to identify the source.

  • Export as Photoshop file with layers (RGB)

    Hey guys,.

I want to export my "Adobe Illustrator" file in Photoshop with RGB but file that doesn't work only with having a summarized layer.

If you know how to export a "Adobe Photoshop" file in Adobe Illustrator file with RGB color profile and layers I had in Illustrator?

    Thanks in advance!

    (I have the German Version)

This is what it looks like, when I go to file > export > Adobe Photoshop > RGB - I can only export the file in the format Adobe Photoshop summarized with RGB color profile.

  • Imports RAW of Lightroom have greenish tint, but not when exported to Photoshop

I just started using Lightroom 3.6 and I love how powerful he is, but I'm having a serious problem with my RAW photos looking very green.

When I import my pictures library in LR3, all of them arrive with a greenish tint very.  When I look at the exact same RAW photos with Canon Digital Photo Professional (the software that came with my Canon 60 d RAW), they seem normal, as it should.

In addition, what I've discovered, is if I take one RAW files and export to Photoshop for editing, the image seems normal (no greenish hue) in photoshop, then I can save in TIFF or JPG format and they look very well.

If I export a RAW file directly from LR3 in a JPG file and then view the JPG file in a number of spectators (LViewPro, Firefox, IE, etc.) they all look normal (again, no greenish hue).  So the only place where I have the problem of Hue's LR3.

I tried to play with the calibration of the camera in LR3, cycling through different profiles (adobe standard, trusty camera, camera, camera neutral landscape, etc.).  Each of them that I select brings a very minor change, but is certainly not correct the problem.  I tell myself that there must be something with the way the LR3 is the reading of the calibration of the colors of the RAW image, but I'm lost for a solution.  Could someone please lend a helping hand.  Here's an example of how LR3 displays a picture and now another RAW file is the display.  It's the exact same RAW file with no adjustments made.  As you can see there is a pretty drastic difference!

    LR3 example.jpgDigPhotoProf Example.jpg

I would also add that if I make adjustments to the RAW file in LR3 and arrived at a point where the image appears normal in LR3, when I export to photoshop or in JPG format, this file ends up looking way different than what it looks like in LR3.

    Ryan,

The Green tint in your histogram tells me that your display profile is corrupted. How is your monitor calibrated/profile?

To test this theory, try to assign a profile sRGB ICC for your screen (see here for instructions). If things look OK then, the theory is confirmed, but no solution yet. You will need to create a good ICC profile for your monitor using a hardware calibration device.

  • Grey outline around the objects when exporting to Photoshop

    Hello

I have a strange issue when exporting with a simple badge that I'm working on Illustrator to Photoshop.

Everything seems well within the Illustrator, but when I select my creation and copy and paste into Photoshop, then as a "dynamic object" or "pixels", I get a strange gray outline around the objects that should be hidden.

I use the latest versions of Illustrator and Photoshop 2015 CC and their installation on Mac OSX El Capitan v. 10.11.3

I think that the problem is more on the side of Photoshop.

Rasterize the objects in Illustrator; no visible lines.

Pixelation in Photoshop; the Ant-aliasing artifacts.

It is easy to reproduce: put a couple of black oval overlaid. Use Pathfinder > divide

Now you have perfectly fitting distinct forms.

Copy and paste into Photoshop; lines.

Rasterize them (or use the pixelation effect) in Illustrator, copy and paste it into Photoshop. no lines.

  • Impossible to export to photoshop from illustrator.

I have very specific instructions on how I need to this design exported from illustrator to photoshop.

I need to the image is 20 x 20, 300 dpi +, NO anti-aliasing, with layers written. I did this without doubt on a 1000 times before and have never once fell on this problem before.

I've been chatting to support with Adobe and Apple, and had NO help for my problem.

I tried different files, so I know it is not specific to the file.

I've tried different computers, so I know it's not computer specific.

It must be a problem with the ADOBE software. Whenever I try to export files (with several layers, on Board 1 art) I get the message "not exportable to .psd."

This has been very frustrating and is basically forcing me to miss a deadline. I must say that I am very reluctant to continue paying a monthly fee for the software that works halfway. Whenever there is an update that is something is wrong with the software.

Before the last update, I was able to export this file to 600 dpi with no anti-aliasing No. PROBLEM. So, what gives?

Anyone know any workarounds, patches, solutions?

It is possible that you have one or more of the things that are a problem in the file, you will need to check each object to see if one or more things are the cause. First turn off the visibility of every object in your file, and then activate the low object and to export of .psd. If the export works correctly, then make the visible object and export again. Rinse repeat until you have touched something that causes the problem.

  • How to export a Photoshop (Mac) file that can be opened with a PC version of the CAD software

    Hi all

I'm trying to deliver a photoshop graphic to my friend w / a PC and a CNC machine it will use to cut out my chart.  Unfortunately, he has trouble opening the graphics that I send him, even though I tried all the standard formats (.pdf, .png, .tif, bpm).  What he needs is a .dxf or .dwg file that I think... And there are tons of ".". "PDF to DWG converters" out there (I've downloaded several).  Problem is, when I try to open my .pdf and then export and/or registered as a .dwg file, it saves in an empty file!  When I reopen the .dwg file to check it out, there is nothing there.

For anyone who is interested to help me, here is a link to my photoshop file (it is reduced to 24 "tall and 48" wide):

    Dropbox - TheSpaceCastle_Logo2.psd

    And here is the PDF:

    Dropbox - TheSpaceCastle_Logo2.pdf

Here I am pasting a .jpg image file: (the widget download told me that .pdf files are 'prohibited'... lol? It is a Forum of ADOBE.  Why a .pdf file could not?)

    TheSpaceCastle_Logo2.jpg

    Found the solution:

I had my friend vectorize my original FIRST file in Illustrator and created a .ai file.  It was not a type of simple file conversion.  Then, she saved the vector, that she created as a .dxf file.  It is necessary to first vectorization.

I don't know the exact process, she used to vectorize the file, but I'm sure that it involved the tracing of the image and the creation of a new vector ('path' in Photoshop?).

I confirmed this morning with the designer CNC he managed to extract the file in the CAD software for its CNC machine, and it seems good.

  • Video won't export in Photoshop.

When I try to export a video of Photoshop, it doesn't. I'm going to "made video" and try to export it as a H.264. It exports, but then when I try to open the video, he says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file. "What I am doing wrong?

24 bytes is actually nothing, it means that it is only and not the file, try to export the video again, but at a different location.

  • Problem exporting to Photoshop CS4

I've recently been treatment a lot important images in Lightroom 3 and as part of the workflow that I exported directly in Photoshop CS4 for final adjustments.

I received the following pop-up after choosing to edit in Photoshop CS4:

"This version of Lightroom may require plug the Photoshop Camera Raw version 5.7 for full compatibility.

Please update the plugin using the update available in the Help menu of Photoshop Camera Raw. »

The three options are: 'Cancel', "Rendered using Lightroom" or "Open Anyway."

I clicked on "Open Anway" and also checked the box "don't show".

After reviewing the quality of the results I regret now to check this box. The noise reduction does not seem to have been correctly applied and some images seem to lack detail. I guess if Lightroom makes the file, then it will be much better quality. Unfortunately I can't change it to render using Lightroom, because I checked the box "don't show".

So my question is whether it is possible to change the default back to "Render using Lightroom" instead of using Camera Raw? Is there an easy way to do this? I explored all the preferences of Lightroom, but to no avail...
