Exporting individual pages to PDF / Indesign

Download some examples of scripts of

http://www.Adobe.com/products/InDesign/scripting/index.html

It's all good and everything, but it creates a document and it prints as pdf files. Yes, that is what I wanted to but how can I change the script for, let me you are looking for or appeal to my own already created .indd file?

Help, please.

Thanks in advance,

Kind regards

          //The name of the exported files will be the base name + the

          var myRegExp = /:/gi;
          myPageName = myPageName.replace(myRegExp, "_");
          myFilePath = Folder.desktop + "/" + myBaseName + "_" + myPageName + ".pdf";

  • Multi paged document in individual pages of PDF - whose names

    I have an InDesign document that I use for creating sell sheets for groups of sellers using the data merge.

    I wonder if there is an easy way to extract these pages as individual pdf pages which bear the name of each page (D_Smith.pdf, RJones.pdf etc.)

    Currently, I am using Acrobat and extract pages and manually tag each pdf.

    See if it works. I assume you have a text frame on the master page to the name of data merge, that you want to use as the title page PDF. If you select the image on the master and open the called Script Panel (window > utilities), you can give the frame a label. Keep in mind that the title of the script will not apply to existing pages, where the framework has been substituted:

    Here's the script that exports PDF pages using the content of the text labeled as the title field. If there is no text field on a page with the label MyName page number is used as the title instead:

    Any suggestions?

  • InDesign-individual pages to spreads

    Hi all

    the rtx document that I placed in indesign has 60 unique pages that are displayed as pasta at 31 spread: I need to edit and export as pages flowing individul. How can I get the out format of spread and in individual pages so that they can be edited, formatted and exported correctly?

    Thanks in advance for your help risk this.

    These are individual pages. These differences in thirty-one consist of a spread of one page for each of the first and last pages and pages for everything else. How is it, your readers will be viewing the document done when printing double-sided and is how you should be editing, unless you plan to only print only one side of each page. If this is the case, change the document front pages not by unchecking the checkbox of the document.

  • Doubt on the export of pages in JPG format at high resolution with Indesign

    Hello

    I use to work two software, your skill of QuarkXpress and Indesign. If I had to choose one, I prefer Indesign, it is very nice and I love it, but I have to work with the software.

    Well, I have a doubt about the use of Indesign method to export a page in JPG, high-resolution, because QuarkXpress do the same job, but in a different way, so my doubt is about the quality of the files produced.

    It is a very technical issue, if someone with experience in the professional press and print or an Adobe expert could answer, I would be grateful.

    InDesign, producing a poor quality file or QuarkXpress that producing a poor quality file?

    My question is as follows:

    I opened a document in Indesign, and I decide to export it. To simplify things, we have a unique page DIN A4 document.

    So I tell Indesign to export the pageand I want a JPG, high-resolution 300 DPI file.

    Indesign do his job very well, and produce the file exported. This is a JPG file, there are 300 dpi.

    If I open the document in Photoshopand I'm going to... Image of ... Image size...

    I see the Indesign document indicates the exact measurements of a DIN A4 210 x 297 mm and the resolution of the file, I have 300 DPI.

    Therefore seems to be that indesign has done a great job.

    Very well.

    Now, I explain what is happening with QuarkXpress.

    I do the same thing, I have a document to a single page, DIN A4 and I export it as JPG format at high resolution of 300 dpi.

    Well, now QuarkXpress, create the file and I open the file in Photoshop.

    Surprise.

    The file has larger than DIN A4 and a lower resolution dimensions!

    Exactly, QuarkXpress produce a jpg of the following dimensions: 874,89 x 1237,9 mm and a resolution of 72 dpi

    When I see 72 dpi, I think that the document is in low resolution. However, I have a larger document?

    I open the QuarkXpress file in Photoshop, then I uncheck resampling, in this way Photoshop will never change the image. Now, I change the value of resolution of 72 dpi, 300 dpi, which is the value I want.

    And what happens? What happens is that I get a document with measurements of a DIN A4 and also at 300 DPI.

    ???

    So basically QuarkXpress does the same work in Indesign, but in a different way.

    The file QuarkXpress are 2.29 MB more or less. The Indesign file are 3.84 MB more or less.

    So why these differences?

    Which method is the best and why Indesign produce a different file to QuarkXpresss?

    See you soon

    As far as I know, the ppi is not the required metadata for the images.

    So Im guessing that Quark exports jpg ppi worthless.

    But Photoshop is to assign a value of ppi when it opens an image without specified ppi value.

    This value is be 72, but it could be anything, because the pixel dimensions do not change.

    OK, in my opinion, there is a setting in Word Printing Options. It will vary with the version of Word, here's an example https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/326503

    Creation of PDF files will use a printing technology and can be affected by some of the same settings.

    Hi, I use Apple Photos to create a photo book.  When I export to PDF, photos that are over 2 pages are exported as a single PDF page.  For printing purposes, I want this to export in the form of 2 separate pages.  I did this with iPhoto in the past and this could be something to do with the preferences of Adobe.  I contracted Apple and their export seems thin e (or 2 separate pages). Any ideas?

    If you have not Acrobat is installed, then clearly, it's a matter of Apple having nothing to do with any "setting Adobe." There is nothing we can do at Adobe to help you. Sorry!
