Hi Fabrizio

In my opinion, you can check on the net if there is possibility to buy it from another country. It this case you have to pay a little more to send but you will have original part for your device. Google all over the place. I found several suppliers where you can order this memory module.

See also this page http://shopping.kelkoo.it/b/a/ss_memoria_per_toshiba_portege_3440.html. Maybe he can help you.

In the product form, I found that this model could have only the extension of memory of 128 MB. However in the user manual, they say that 256 MB expansion is also supported. Which one should I believe? And if the 256 MB is supported which is the appropriate memory model? Or is the limit really 128 MB and why? For some reason any HW?

    Hello

It is not easy to find specific info on older models of laptops. According to the mobile news it can handle with max 512 MB of RAM. Compatible RAM module is KTT-SO815/256 256 MB memory-(Kingston). With the help of two of them you can have max RAM and laptop will go much quicker.

Disk HARD is not easy to say with certainty, but I think that you can pass to 30 or even 60 GB, but 30 should not be a problem.

  • Extension of memory card video R40e

    Hello

Is it possible with a software for example, to expand the ATI IGP 330 M 16 MB to 32, 64, or 128 MB memory please?

Why you not added an option in the BIOS to change?

    Thx for your answer.

    P.

What you are looking for was not possible at the time where R40 was introduced, and it cannot be done on this subject now. Some later machines have the ability to "borrowing" the memory above their discrete graphics, but T43 was the first to use that alias "super memory".

    I hope this helps.

  • Portege 7220 does not recognize the Extension of memory (Kingston)

    Hello

Recently, I wanted to update my old notebook, Portege 7220 with a 256 MB Stick of Kingston Ram. According to their website, it should work, but the machine does not recognize the memory at all. (just using internal 64 MB).

I can't upgrade the Bios either, because when I press F12 when the computer starts, it cannot read the floppy drive in the docking station. Do I need a USB floppy drive for that? I tried with a usb key, but it does not work. is there a possibility to redo an update of windows? (Comp running Windows 2000)

Thanks for your help, much apprechiated.

Only the TRAD of the BIOS version exists for this Portege.
This means that you will not be able to update the Windows operating system running, but you will need an external floppy drive to perform these updates.

    Regarding your problem of memory;
    Check this box:

You can find the compatible memory module. It s a PC100 144 pin SODIMM.

Maybe you used the not-entirely-compatible module or the module is defective

  • Extension of memory in a Portege S100

I recently bought a Portege S100, which came with 512 MB of RAM. Information on this model, says it can be increased up to 2048 MB using 2 slots of memory. Initially, I assumed 1024Mo in each. I looked at the electronic user guide, and it gives the impression that the original memory slot (512 MB) is non-removable, while under the "memory module cover" is an another single memory slot available for the purpose of expansion. This is the case, or if the existing memory of 512 MB can be located (everywhere where it is, it is not visible when memory cover removed) and be replaced by [saying] 1024 MB?

    Hello

Your device has no internal memory. There are two slots. According to the specs of the device comes with 512 MB of RAM, and you can extend it to 2 GB maximum. If you want to use 1 GB of RAM module compatible part except the number PA3411U-1M1G (DDR2 400/533 1 GB).

In the lower (in the middle) you can find the cover of the memory expansion. Remove it and swap the module.
    Good luck!

  • Extension of memory - Portege M300

I just bought a memory for my Portege M300 and the cover of expansion memory does not come off. It seems as if the screw is fixed and will not move at all.

    What should I do?

    Hello

As far as I know a screw ensures coverage of memory. To remove the screw, please use a point size 0 Phillips screwdriver. Slide your fingernail or a thin object under the lid, then lift it up.

The entire statement how to upgrade the modules of memory, you will find in the user manual.

  • Re: Extension of memory for Qosmio x 500

Hi, I bought my laptop since the France, it's a Qosmio x 500-102 (serial number: PQX34E-01V014FR)
He got 6 GB of RAM and I want to know weather this amount is extensible or not, the problem is that I can't find anything related to my laptop in the main site of toshiba

    And thanks in advance!

    Hey Buddy,

The laptop can be upgraded to 8 GB of RAM. This means that 4 GB module can be installed in the two memory slots.

So, you can keep the current 4 GB module and just replace the module of 2 GB with a 4 GB module. The part number for a 4 GB memory module is PA3677U-1M4G

  • Extension virtual memory for USB or Flash drives

Is it possible to 'dated' material, like mine, to move virtual memory windows ' done ' HD to something much faster and cheaper as USB flash drives or camera cards?

With a key USB 4gig runs about $10, which would leave my material limited 512meg CMOS operate the flash as a HD and I can extend the life of this thing without "scrambling eggs" in HD.

Patches, upgrades or easy workaround? Windows, on reasonable grounds, will not let you move where she "makes" virtual memory on the C:

This does not work on Windows operating systems as Windows does not allow the location of the swap file on removable disks.  Also, USB flash drives are not faster hard drives, random reads are faster on flash drives, but sequential read and writes are faster on hard disks.

ReadyBoost (available on Vista and newer operating Windows operating system) uses devices USB flash to portions of cache of the file on the USB flash drives and memory manager and then decide who is fastest and where to get updated information caching.  The point to note is that the file itself is not on the flash drive and it is only stored anything on the flash drive is not present in and supported by the pagefile before anything actually on the flash drive, it must first be stored in the swap file.

  • Sansa fuze and extension of memory of 16 GB?

Hi I have been checking out the site because my girlfriend bought me my rocket for Christmas.  After doing several searches, I see a lot of people have improved their fuze 8 GB and bought a 16 GB Micro-SDHC card.  My question is when I go to the sansa site, why they does not offer memory card 16 GB as a choice for expansion and only sell the 8 GB card?  I was intending to buy Sansa site just to make sure that I was getting what I really need, but they are not available.

I found it online somewhere else, I think that that's what I need to increase my memory.  Can anyone confirm?  The SanDisk 16 GB Micro SD High Capacity (microSDHC) Flash memory card (packaging in bulk) for sale online for about $50, the only thing that holds back me to the top is the index of performance of speed.   She indicates that she has speed performance rating: class 2 (based on SD 2.00 average specification?)  I see the sansa accessory store are a 8 GB class 4?

    Should I pull the trigger?

    Thank you

Pull it. 'Speed' doesn't mean much. I have the card you are watching. Works very well.

  • extension of memory hp Windows 7 stream

I bought a 64 GB micro adapter, but it doesn't seem to fit. On my phone, there was a small drawer that poped out, but that doesn't seem to be the case with my Hp7 stream, if it was never there. I couldn't find documentation except that it supports micro card to extend the memory.

All capacity Microsd or XD is supported, as well as your phone.  You need to remove the back of the shelf insert the card.

  • 2800-200 unrecognized extension memory

Initially, I had 64 MB of RAM in the expansion slot and this was ok.

I bought an extension of memory of 128 MB which, when inserted did not have Windows ME to start. He kept just restart before touching the start screen.

The 128 MB has been recognized in the BIOS info, pressing escape on start up.

I tried many things, running Win 98 and back to ME but couldn't get the 128 MB to work.

Now, I replaced the expansion of 64 MB and it is not recognized in the BIOS or system in detail, as well as when I put the 128 MB in it starts very well.

This suggests that there is a problem with the slot, and not the memorry.

I wandered if the BIOS update (although I'm not sure what the BIOS) so I tried to update via this site.

I was not able to update the bios. This Web site indicates that there are two options

    (1) windows Update - during extraction of the .zip file and then run the .exe all for this are to write on a diskette and do not any additional instructions that the BIOS update notice says it must.

    2) boot from a disk, said turning on laptop with the F12 key (does not work, then turn with PowerOn button) and hold down the F12 key until you get to the screen of the BIOS update - F12 does nothing.

    My two questions then-

    (1) what is the problem with the slot of memory and how can I test/fix?
    (2) is there BIOS update instructions?

    Hello

AFAIK, you can upgrade the memory for max 192 MB (64 MB + 128 MB)
So, in this case, you can use only one memory card. These modules are memory compatible:
    PA3003U - 1 M 03 32 MB
    PS3004U - 1 M 06 64 MB
    PS3005U - 1 M 12 128 MB

Well, I can t give you a correct answer, why the OS doesn't work. Maybe you used a bad memory or is not compatible. I suggest using the memory module that is recommended by Toshiba.

    What BIOS:
I found this Toshiba FAQ document on the Bios Update:
