External JAR & Eclipse plug-in 1.3

Hi all!

seriously, I want to use the new plug-in for eclipse but I can not find a solution for the external JAR problem:

I need to use the library of ksoap2, so, as explained in different post, I created a library project on Eclipse with version 1.2 of the plugin, I added the previously verified JAR and then I reference it projects where I use it.

It works very well in previous plug-ins but it don't work with the 1.3:

-If I use the 1.2 method, when packaging project I have a strange error of class of the two copies on the first class from the jar of ksoap2 (that is not duplicate)

-If I use the pot of ksoap2 as external JAR or library for my project, I can all packing but when I run my application, the pot is not loaded...

Anyone know if something changes in the plugin?

Thank you for any idea!

Hi all

I ask the support of blackberry and they give me a response.

I post here if someone will need:

"

This error message occurs when an external JAR is created in another version of the IDE. The reason is because that control cap, when your application is compiled, compile everything in the folder of generation, including the previously compiled JAR file. This seems to be a bug in the tool itself, and there are a few references to this question in the BlackBerry Developer Issue Tracker below.

BlackBerry Developer Issue Tracker

https://www.BlackBerry.com/JIRA/

Moving forward, the current solution to this issue is to have the JAR file built in the same version of the BlackBerry Java plug-in for Eclipse, you build your current application to breast. This is probably why you have not seen the issue in the previous iteration of the plug-in. This leads me to believe that the POT has been compiled in version 1.2 before.

"

I'm looking for the source code of ksoap2 and create a project, so I can use it as an external referenced project.

Now, all work.

Hope it will be useful

  • Try to include external jar in Eclipse IDE, but it does not work

    Hello world

I try to use the BB for Eclipse plugin.  I saw the other posts in the same direction as mine, but nothing seems to solve the problem or the person was referring to an older version of the plugin.  I try to include a jar named J2meMap_lib_cldc11.jar.  Here's what I've done so far:

I created a new Blackberry project called J2MEMap.

I right-click on the project and select Properties.

I go to the Blackberry project properties. Click on the Application tab.

Under Project Type, change in library.

Then, I go to the Java Build Path.

I go to the library and add the jar as an external library file.

    Click OK.

Then, I create a new Blackberry project named MyApp.

For this one, I'm doing a moped.

In the Java Build Path, I add the J2MEMap project as a project dependency.

First thing I notice is that MyApp has compilation errors because he doesn't seem to find the jar file in the other project.  If I look in the Console of the Blackberry manufacturer, I see the following error when I Isaiah to compile the J2MEMap project:

    C:\programs\opensource\eclipse\plugins\net.RIM.Eide.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.16\components\bin\launcher.exe C:\programs\opensource\eclipse\plugins\net.rim.eide.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.16\components\bin\rapc.exe-silencieux import =...... \.. \.. \.. \.. \programs\opensource\eclipse\plugins\net.rim.Eide.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.16\components\lib\net_rim_api.jar;...... \.. \.. \.. \.. \programs\opensource\j2memap\sdk\cldc11\J2meMap_lib_cldc11.jar library =... \J2MEMap\J2MEMap warnkey = 0 x 52424200; 0 x 52435200; 0 x 52525400 - sourceroot = C:\Local\develop\eclipse\workspaces\psu\J2MEMap\src C:\Local\develop\eclipse\workspaces\psu\J2MEMap\bin
Error! : not found of course
CAP has failed for the project J2MEMap

Previously, I did not receive this error, but I began to acquire a reason any.  I am able to generate the Midlet example that comes with the JDE and deploy and run on the Simulator.  For some reason, I can't get libraries to work properly.

    Thank you

    Eric

In fact, I thought that I'm answering my own question in case someone else has the same problem.  In the library project, I had to go to the project properties and go to the Import/Export, and then select the external jar as one of the elements that must be exported.

    Thank you

  • External JAR and run the Script

It is a way to use external jar (Drools) in run script step? Alternatives?

    Thank you

You can use external jar files in LiveCycle along with other java web applications.

    1. place your JAR file in the application's lib directory.

    for example c:\jboss\server\all\lib

2 import the package within the ExecuteScript activity and start using classes.

My problem is to get the time elapsed between in the JAR of archives and outside the jar of archives for the same file (it's inside the POT). I get different timestamps as seen, and that's my problem.
Your code displays the formatted output, but I need the time until the last ms.

Zip file format Specifies a resolution of 2 seconds. You can't get the precision in milliseconds since a zip or jar file. It is precisely not to be there. This isn't a Java problem.

  • Can Eclipse 1.1 I add external JAR library part 3-d?

I thought that it would finally be possible to add third-party 3D libraries for the project using the latest plugin Eclipse 1.1

I tried to add a library and the generation of project (just like with previous versions), but it does not work on the emaulator. I get IllegalArgument exception and it basically says that it cannot find the module that I try to use (class name) of the library.

    Thank you!

Open the Java Build Path, then go in the tab order and export and export the third pot by checking the box in front of the pot.   Rebuild and let me know if you still receive the error "module not found".

It must be valid for a JAR file created outside the BlackBerry Java plug-in for Eclipse (not a BlackBerry library project).

If the JAR file is another project of library of BlackBerry, you will need to install the COD file for this library on the smartphone BlackBerry (Simulator) before running your application.

  • 1.1 Eclipse plug-in and JAR files

Yes, it's a little heavy, but you must run cap on the JAR file to get the library COD.

  • Difficulty getting an Eclipse plug-in to work

I installed Eclipse 3.4.1 with Java 6 and Blackberry JDE 4.5.0 and Blackberry JDE component package 4.5.0 with Blackberry Simulator 4.5.0.

    I added; C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_12\bin; C:\Program search in Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.5.0\bin under system-> advanced-> environment-> path Variables.

-In Eclipse, when I try to create a new project of Blackberry, I get a message "The Blackberry JDE path settings must be defined before you can use the plug-ins feature."

-Also, when I go to Windows-> preferences-> components-> Blackberry JDE, there a red X and a message, "Blackberry components where not found.» There are no components of your choice.

-When I go to the Project menu, the Configuration of the Active Blackberry build is grayed out.

I also added to the net_rim_api.jar to the default library, if classes are available in the editor.

  • JDE Eclipse plug-in

    Hello

I write this message for tips and out of my concern for the current state of the eclipse for JDE plugin.

As a newcomer to the development of blackberry, I tried to optimize a process for the development team to

make their job a little easier, more specifically, the ability to debug our application in eclipse using the Simulator.  I managed to develop a simple application that I can with ease, call the debugger, however, I would like to know about 2 main problems I've noticed

    (1) be constrained in the CBC for source file

    (2) not be able to include libraries third 3rd in a workspace of blackberry.

Problem # 1 is not a problem, it of a pain, but not as bad as (2).  As you know, most java applications use the libraries open source by preventing the Constitution of third-party libraries, life becomes very difficult, and I suppose that in some cases, people/companies drop this and move to another platform.

What I really want to know is - what, work to correct these problems and to deliver a new version anytime soon?

I hope you are because in its current state, you send a bad message to developers, youenjoy that problems with eclise JDE plugin google see what I mean.  I like to develop for the blackberry, but the lack of a debugger is a pretty serious problem.  Given that both Eclipse and Netbeans are main currents IDE, you will need to accept that most of the people will NOT fall to use your own custom made Java IDE.

There was on my team talks about moving to another platform and is one of the main factors as bug fixing is a nightmare without a debugger and we have standardized on the use of eclipse.

If the task to solve this is also very good, why not make it open source and you will have an idea of how much of an issue this is and how much people are willing to invest to make it better.

If you are any chance to go to the Conference for developers in San Francisco next week, then it would be an excellent opportunity for you to ask in the future for various people on BOARD on the plug-in.

  • Eclipse plug-in: excluding files SVN

    Hello

I'm working on a native blackberry application using the plugin for Eclipse.  After I checked in my application in subversion, I noticed that the cod file size has increased significantly.  I looked inside the generated jar plugin and I saw that all of my SVN files were there.

Has anyone experience this problem?  Is it possible to exclude all SVN files?

I tried to use the reason for exclusion in Eclipse under properties > Java Build Path > Source, but that doesn't seem to work.

    Thank you.

The beta version of the BlackBerry JDE for the eclipse does not respect the rules of exclusion Eclipse (properties > Java Build Path > Source).

Currently, all the project files are built.  You can delete the files in the project before building to exclude cod file.
