Extract Embedded Images... Did you know that...

It is in fact a function in Illustrator to do this, even if it is not called extract Images?

Not only that once you extract the image that you can update it as well, that you do not lace it again and reposition it.

When I saw it and it was there I couldn't believe it as it has been asked so many times and there were many workaround solutions.

I think he spent the world by because that it is not in the links Panel.

Edit > Edit Image

and then

Edit > update Image

The first open the image in Photoshop

Change it there, and then save

then back in Illustrator go to it and it will be updated.

Never noticed that before.

The only draw back is it seems only works on a single image at a time.

I wonder how many users here knew little about this feature?

The really cool part is bound editable images by Option-Double-click, like Indesign.
