Extract metadata description before placing them.

How to get the metadata for an InCopy file description without place, I mean the XMPFile.

I have this code, but he also gives an empty string, I'm sure that there is a description.

If (ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript is undefined)

ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript = new ExternalObject('lib:AdobeXMPScript');

var xmpFile = new XMPFile ("/ Users/Designer_002/Desktop/temp/Blocks/Block.210.00.incx", XMPConst.UNKNOWN, XMPConst.OPEN_FOR_READ);

XMP var = xmpFile.getXMP ();

Alert (xmp.getProperty (XMPConst.NS_DC, "description"));

xmpFile.closeFile (XMPConst.CLOSE_UPDATE_SAFELY);

    You can use this code...

    trace (str.length + "---> the word length");

    trace (Str.substr (0.27) + "---> 27 words");

    Is it always NULL?

    SELECT SUBSTR (p_csa, 1, 4) INTO v_comp FROM DUAL;

    You don't need the double table much in PL/SQL. You can simply say

    v_comp := SUBSTR (p_csa, 1, 4);

    Almost all integrated single-row functions work in PL/SQL. (NVL2 is the only one I know who does not work in PL/SQL).

    SELECT SUBSTR (p_csa, 5.3) INTO v_csa_prefix FROM DUAL;
    SELECT SUBSTR (p_csa, 8, 4) INTO v_csa_type FROM DUAL;

    UTL_FILE. PUT_LINE)
    fileidinvoice, v_telco | » '|| v_comp | "|" | v_csa_prefix: "| v_csa_type);

    What are you trying to do here? For example, what you're trying to put between c_comp and v_csa_prefix?

    If you don't want space, then only concatenate all the spaces in the string before you write it and REPLACE allows you to delete all the spaces that have been copied from p_csa. For example:

    UTL_FILE.PUT_LINE ( fileidinvoice
                , REPLACE ( v_telco || v_comp
                                        || v_csa_prefix
                              || v_csa_type
                       , ' '
                       )
                );

    I guess you need the v_comp of separate variables, the v_csa_prefix and the v_csa_type for something.

    I hope that answers your question.
    If this isn't the case, after a complete script that people can run to recreate the problem and test their ideas. Display the results you want (in other words, the contents of the file created).
    Always say what version of Oracle you are using (for example, 11.2.0.3.0).

    Original title: Printing problem!

    My computer prints a page of description before the print job. Why did I put something wrong, or is something messed up? Help!

    When you print pages web configuration of the default printer to print headers and feet. You can change what to print or you can remove the headers and footer, total... Before printing in Internet Explorer, click the file menu, print preview...  As I do on this page, the headers by default says 'Computer prints a page of description before the print job - Microsoft Answers' left and right is "Page 1 of 2". On footers is the URL of the page on the left and on the right date.

    You can change this setting by clicking the file menu, Page Setup... on the dialog box layout under headers and footers you can change the settings you want. After making the changes click the OK button to close the box. Check the preview before printing if it suits you, and then you can proceed to print the page, the file menu, print...

    Hi Tanuj.

    I actually understand it. Not the best user friendly system. Where as before (CS5), I just had to go to crop tool and choose the dimensions and the inches now it in the window. Just really complicated for nothing.

    Thanks anyway Tanuj

  • CC of Dreamweaver (2015) 'save the files before putting them' post cause long beachball hangs

    I always Save the files before putting them checked in preferences > Site so I can just work on files and press CMD + SHIFT + you download the file without first having to save it. This seems to be problematic in Dreamweaver CM³, particularly with large sites. I'm working on sites where tens of thousands of files and Dreamweaver can't seem to stick with it all... it is maybe the cache issue... do not know, but I had problems with time to hang long beachball of up to 5 full minutes.

    Why wait 5 minutes and not only force-quit you ask? Because it ends up causing more problems and crashes when I open it again. I found that it's faster to simply let DW his vision quest because it is finally the beach.

    Clues as to the best way to handle several huge websites and be able to switch back often and smoothly?

  • extract metadata

    Hi all

    I want to extract metadata from the bridge. I have 10000 pictures and you need get the file size, resolution, width n height and color mode/space.

    I have a lot of scripts by downloading from the net. But those who were not providing the color and resolution mode specifically. But these two are important to me.

    Thanks for your help!

    There is a script "Extract meta data" in the section of bridge to http://www.ps-bridge-scripts.talktalk.net/ that will allow you to do.

  • Extract metadata check constraint using the JDBC driver

    Hello

    How to extract metadata check constraint using the JDBC driver?

    I know that by using the package dbms_metadata is possible, but the results of the get_ddl function are limited by the permissions of the user account, log on to oracle customer. So, how others pure Java implemented customer oracle can get the metadata of check constraints by using the same user account used to run the dbms_metadata.get_ddl function when this function cannot obtain metadata restrictions for approval when throwing an exception saying that the cheque does not exist?

    For example, in Aqua Data Studio and further implemented in pure Java metadata check constraints are extracted and showed in the Table Properties, but when I use the same user account in a java program using JDBC to execute dbms_metadata.get_ddl, an exception is throwed with a message that the constraint does not exist.

    So I guess that these pure-Java Oracle customers use Oracle JDBC driver to extract the metadata of check constraint (ddl or the status of the audit). If anyone knows how to use the Oracle JDBC driver to do this, please help me!

    SELECT *
    FROM all_constraints
    WHERE constraint_type = 'C';

    will give you all the validation constraints

  • Extract metadata from jpeg to PS CC 2015.5 file

    Hello

    Is there a way where we can extract the dimensions (width x height, in picas), color data (RGB, CMYK or grayscale) and the resolution of the image (in pixels per inch dpi). for a jpeg file, which was created in PS CC 2015.5

    Maybe a script or plugin.

    FYI - we want to make a batch to process more maybe 300 to 400 files to extract the metadata.

    Concerning

    Ray

    OK, here's the code ExifTool :

    ExifTool - r - line: ImageWidth - leader: ImageHeight - File: ColorComponents - JFIF: XResolution - JFIF: YResolution - IFD0:XResolution - IFD0:YResolution - IFD0:ResolutionUnit - csv "/ users/loggedinusername/Desktop/test ' > ' / Users/loggedinusername/Desktop/exiftool-metadata-dump.csv'ext - .jpg

    The output looks like this (reformatted for display of .csv):

    = /Users/loggedinusername/Desktop/test/IMG-CMYK.jpg

    Image width: 2448

    Image height: 3264

    Color components: 4

    X resolution: 72

    Resolution Y: 72

    Resolution unit: inch

    = /Users/loggedinusername/Desktop/test/IMG-Gray.jpg

    Image width: 2448

    Image height: 3264

    Color components: 1

    X resolution: 72

    Resolution Y: 72

    Resolution unit: inch

    = /Users/loggedinusername/Desktop/test/IMG-RGB-SFWL.jpg

    Image width: 2448

    Image height: 3264

    Color components: 3

    The first two images were recorded via file > save as, so that they have more information in them to be extracted. The third has been saved save for Web (inheritance), excluding all the metadata, so there is less info available.

    You may need to do a find/replace in a spreadsheet to replace the column component color, change 1 in grayscale, RGB 3 and 4 in CMYK.

    I can explain the CLI code more in detail if necessary (I applied to false syntax highlighting to help break the elements). This code is formatted for Mac OS, MS Windows would use all right double quotation marks ' and the------expected file path of formatting. "

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I get an image metadata (Description) legend?

    Taking a break from a monstrous project that has tied me up everyday, I've engaged in what I thought, would be a bit of light relief (hah!).

    A colleague asked me to an easy way to get captions in InDesign. So, I started scripts here, asking the "description of the link xmp.

    It was not forthcoming and a search of the forum script InDesign gave information that, in order to obtain this information, it was necessary to open the document in Photoshop, save it and re - link. Indeed, it works, but it is a waste of time in the phase of file-saving and also degrades the image, because we have a jpg workflow.

    So I thought that if I was going to have to Photoshop anyway, why not have the script directly join the debates, open the doc, ask the description and close without saving changes?

    Photoshop has jealously guarded its XMP information.

    In Applescript please go 'nominative set for the raw data from the metadata XMP of 1' and this is in the event log, but by banning to the type of red. I have try to add 'as string' and it appears twice, once in a black guy friendly, placed between quotation marks, then the red stuff. However, I find myself were denied access to the information contained in the variable.

    AS or JS welcome solutions...

    I cannot say for most recent versions of CS that my CS2 but XMP description is the same value as the legend of file information?

    Tell application "Adobe Photoshop CS2"

    the value docRef for the active document

    docRef say

    the value x of legend of the info

    Display dialog box x drop after 2

    end say

    end say
