Extract system definition add timestamp file name

Is it possible to add a timestamp (or sysdate) to a definition of extract file name?  In the form of definition of extract, tab out, there is an option to add the simultaneous request_id the file name - is possible to do this with a timestamp?

The instructions for this are in "how to create a file in HCM extract with added time and date? (Doc ID 1513606.1) »

  • The batch of BMPS will sometimes add copy file name

So, my company has a problem that appears every now and then with the new version of Photoshop CC.

When the batch of Photoshop documents and save them as MPG some documents to interrupt the process and wish to add 'copy' to the end of the name of the file and asks where to save the BMP copy. This happens not all the time well. It can also happen to documents previously batched normally before (with the old version of Photoshop).

Our process is to cause an action to flatten the document and then "Save as" BMP in a different folder (sometimes substituting an older document sometimes not.) It happens at a time) and then shut down and stop the action. We then set the rest of the documents that are open (sometimes numbering in the 100s) to do the same.

I know that I can go into Bridge and batch rename, but because it was such a novelty that looks just like a band-aid, not a solution.

I am at a loss on how to solve this problem with respect to all my designers. I know others this before have met with JPGs and told to change how they save the images. But the export does not have an option for BMPS that I know. I'm also at a loss as to why it worked previously before but now it doesn't and the only difference is the new version of Photoshop. Anyone has any ideas on how to stop this for BMPS?  Is there something that is now checked which was not before, or is there something else I'm missing?

(Note of fun: it seems that we have traded one problem for another.) Our old problem was actions would put in about 50 'get' lines without apparent reason).

You don't need to flatten to save BMP files.  BMP file format does not support layers so everything saves BMP Photoshop on will be a flat file.   You're much better off "dosage" with the Image Processor script or the Image Processor Pro plugin bridge or Photoshop.  Actions that you create for use with these scripts are easier to create than those you created for Photoshop batch., no able to resize or save the steps will be needed.  Scripts Photoshop has much better to name capabilities then actions and these scripts provide flexible resizing and options for your use of naming of files.  Options provided by these scripts should ba could improve on you current batch processes. These scripts are usable and the bridge from Photoshop and they are more flexible, then Photoshop batch processing.  Changing your process to use these scripts quite lot of Photoshop.

Create a batch for export and just run a rename command at the end of the job to rename the file.

  • Create the Script to add a file in an Action name

I have a picture, and I have a practical action that records, it cultures, he saves, cultures it differently and recorded once more. Currently, I have two options for these stops - I can save each crop in a separate folder and batch rename, or I have the break from the action he saves so I can customize the file name. What I would do is create a script (or, if there is an easier way), add this file name if it will save all simply in the same folder that I have to do it manually.

Basically, I start with the name of the file: 'TEST '.

for the first part, it I save as 'TEST '.

for the second record, I want to save it as "TEST_P1".

for the third record, I want to save it as "TEST_P2".

I am brand new to scripting, and is my programming experience with Java and medium in my past, everything feels a little familiar. If someone could help me with this, I would really appreciate it!

Another option is to use the Image Processor Pro script. You must create several actions to different cultures, you want to make to the original document size not a crop of harvest of a crop until the final harvest.  Don't have any records in these actions. Then just use meny file > Automate > Image Processor Pro.  Implement its dialog box to save the file names you want where you want to save them create.  You can also save that in action. The image pro script processor is a Photoshop plug-in.  In the dialog box, it will record the setting you used in the action stage.    Alternatively, you can save the configuration dialog for later use in the IPP dialog before running the process put in place.

You can store as many files as you need with IPP and run your actions simple cultures for each size of harvest. IPP opens you simply file a copy to each of your operations and after the action is performed to save the modified copy of doctment under the name of file you set up. You can configure as many tabs as you want you can even have you resized using IPP option re-size crops.   If the script is easy to use his 10 + lines of script Photoshop...

Not sure what you mean by "-30 high and - 30 from the right". It's not supposed to not be left aligned?

If you want to further customize, locate the addWatermarkFromText method in the reference files. All parameters are specified in the it.

  • Change of LabVIEW VeriStand system definition

    Hi all

I have a project where I need to be able to change the drawn in LabVIEW VeriStand system definition.  The project will use a LabVIEW user interface and I would like to be able to programmatically change of LabVIEW VeriStand system maps (unloading and loading mapping .txt files via LabVIEW System).

It seems that the SystemDefinitionAPI contains the methods I need, but I can't figure out how to get a reference for VeriStand.SystemDefinitionAPI

If there is an easier or simpler way to do this, please let me know.  Thanks for your help,

    Phil

A bit more info that may be useful...

The examples referenced by Jarrod contain a constructor .NET to create a file system definition by giving a name, description, creator, version, etc...  If you double-click on the node in the constructor it will bring up a dialog box that shows all the manufacturers of the SystemDefintion object.  You should see another manufacturer that only requires a string entry "nivssdfFile".  Use this constructor and provide a path to your nivssdf file to open your SysDef existing (instead of creating a new).

Remember, you should always call the SaveSystemDefinitionFile method when you finish your changes to commit everything on the disc (such as demonstrated in the example).

  • Get information from file name

    Hello

I have a somewhat general question, is it possible to extract certain "elements" of a file name?

For example: x 0 xx xxx abc 123 xxxx.avi (or any other type txt, jpg, etc...).

Assuming that the 'abc' is constant throughout the files, but the numbers change (not sequential), can I retrieve just the "abc 123"(ou quelque nombre que ce soit)? "»

I know how the band/build path, but here I don't know what to look for because the distance from the beginning is evolving and the numbers change.

  • network file names are incorrect

I know this isn't a new problem, but it's one that I just found playing with my network. What I see, it's incorrect file names when I discover a directory of files on another system.

My network consists of three computers: (1) a laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit edition with service pack 2; (2) a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit edition with service pack 1; and (3) a desktop computer running Windows XP Home Edition 32 - bit edition with service pack 3. The two laptops are connected to the network via a wireless connection and the desktop computer is connected via a wired Ethernet connection. All systems are up to date, as of the writing of this message (05/04/2011).

Incorrect file names appear between two laptops, while the XP system sees the correct file names.

To be explicit, let's say I'm on portable 2 and I open the directory Public/Public/Sample image images on laptop 1. the file names of the images I see are incorrect. For example, one of the images is named "Chrysanthemum" but when I open the image I see "stream". Now, the actual image on laptop 1 is called "Creek", but it was misnamed in the directory listing as "Chrysanthemum". So what I actually see what's actually on the laptop 1, but it has the wrong name. Now, this is where it gets weird: the wrong file name, in this case "Chrysanthemum", is actually the name of an image on laptop 2.

This behavior is reflected when I'm on portable 1 and I opened the users/Public/Public/Sample image images on laptop 2. In this case, one of the images is named 'Toco Toucan' but when I open the image I see "Medusa". Now, the actual image on laptop 2 is named "Jellyfish", but it was poorly named in the list as "Toco Toucan" of directories. And once again, in this case 'Toco Toucan' is the name of an image on laptop 1.

The designation of bad is a bit random. In other words, some pictures are named incorrectly, and some are named correctly.

Interestingly, if I find the directories of portable 1 and 2 computers in the XP system, I see the correct file names. And vice versa, if I find the directory from the desktop to a laptop, I see the correct file names. So, the problem seems to be unique for transactions between Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems.

If I create a shortcut of the file name of the image, the properties of the shortcut will reveal the name of the file to the real destination. For example, if I create a shortcut of the Toco Toucan, the properties of the shortcut display \\laptop 2\Users\Public\Pictures\Sample Pictures\Jellyfish.jpg.

Looking for some references to this problem on the Internet has been very difficult due to the complexity of the problem, but I could find only one reference which seems to describe the problem, it is however an old reference (April 8, 2007): http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/29691878/incorrect-filenames.aspx

There are indeed from the Thumbs.db files in those directories, however, their removal does not correct the problem.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Y at - it a fix for the problem? I can't believe that this problem has not been resolved by Microsoft.

    Hey all (Happy New Year)

I actually see people here who have helped me with this there is responsible for so many years (Hello 'x'). A new retentive mgr rather anal don't like the replacements I did for some "illegal" characters that windows does not allow in file names. For example, the file name used for the annotation is:
