  The extract filter has been replaced by the edge to refine and improve the mask of tools that when you get used to them much better job than the extract. If you have CS3 installed you can copy the filter extracts in the filter plugins CS6 and if memory is correct it still works.

  I tried to install the optional extract filter in CS4 Extended dropping them in the folder of photoshop filters. When I tried to open it a message appears that says: "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." When I restart photoshop it indicates the filter is not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

  You try to use the 64 bit version in a PS 32 bit or vice versa. Find the correct respective version on your drive and install it in the appropriate directories.

  I tried to contact the support for my subject, but they redirect me to this forum.

  I have been asked by my school to install Photoshop in our Suite of MacOS but having a problem because I don't want to deploy the master all collection but only a single application e.g. Photoshop. If I download Photoshop to Adobe CS4 support page and use Adobe Deployment Toolkit and then use my serial number of the collection master he does not accept it.

  If you have a license for more then anything you use since the Suite must be installed through it.  Activation for separated from the rest of the individual programs won't work because your serial number is thereafter.  You can select the programs to install later, even if it's the only one.  So install the Suite and select only Photoshop when it comes to select the applications to install.

  Depending on your needs, when the month is January, you want every 12 months. any other number and you want the month 1 "1 less than the number this month. Yes? Here's what to do:

  In the filter on your date column, click the filter button, convert it to SQL and enter the following:

  MONTH (TableName.date_column) BETWEEN 1 AND CASE WHEN MONTH (CURRENT_DATE) = 1-12 THEN end of MONTH else (CURRENT_DATE)-1

  Here's the logic:

  (a) when the month is January, and then the case statement will give 12 and the filter will be:

  WHERE the MONTH (tablename.date_column) BETWEEN 1 AND 12... .or every 12 months.

  (b) when the current month is any month, say June, then the case statement will give a less than is the number of months, or in this case, 5.

  WHERE the MONTHS (tablename.date_column BETWEEN 1 AND 5 .or every 1 to 5 months (January to may))

  This will give you what you want...

  Hi, I use Photoshop CS4 for Mac and I would use the filter puzzle I've read about online.  I understand that I must go to filter / Texture / and load the filter puzzle.  I can't find anywhere, this filter?    I've read online, it should be in the Applications / Photoshop and then presets, but I don't see it anywhere?  Do I have to download this filter?  Can anyone help?   Thanks in advance

  Started using CS4 Extended but have a problem with the filter function.  When I used CS2 and went to mask filter/sharpness/settings I got a thumbnail image of the photo that would preview the changes the functionality would be before clicking OK.  Now, when I go to the same feature in CS4 is no representative image of the sticker, just a checkered pattern.  I change never the checkered pattern is different.

  The usual way to do this is to add an index for each table for which column the data is to be copied.

  Here is an example of preliminary. Improvements after return from the light of day.
