• The eyedropper tool does not work on mac + wacom

  Well - spent months and yet no update. The eyedropper tool won't come color using a wacom + a mac... and when you do that with the trackpad is not always the same exact color. I don't understand why this has not been set. The problem with the wrong color lasts for years--picking the wacom/mac problem lasts for at least 6 months. Please... put some serious effort into your product AND support.

  This has been fixed in the latest version animate CC 2015.2. Please update your copy of Flash/Animate CC at the latest (15.2.0.66) using your Creative Cloud Desktop application. Logout & Sign - in in case you don't see Animate CC 2015.2 in your creative cloud application.

• Change the text color with the eyedropper tool

  I've seen cc Photoshop tutorials where you can change the text color by using the eyedropper tool on the color swatch Panel. When the text is selected and the color swatch Panel is open. When I chose is which color I want out the color swatch Panel all them it does to change the foreground color and return to the soil box, why it changes the color of the text, as I have seen in tutorials?

  When highlighted often is difficult to tell what color the text. You can work around this by doing the above, pressing ctrl-H or cmd - H on the keyboard and the highlight will be removed, but the text remains selected. Its exactly the same procedure that you use to make the mobile dotted lines disappear just leaving an active selection. Obviously the text tool must be still in use for all this to work with text.

  Just downloaded and started using photoshop and the eyedropper tool is locked and also the paint bucket.

  Tried to look at other alternatives, but do not yet have a solution. Any ideas on the unlocking of this would be very appreciated.

  Have you checked your permissions for Photoshop itself? You have all permissions for the version you are using? If this isn't the case, it's maybe why you can not use some tools. You can check and see if you have all the permissions for your version. If you are sure that you should maybe try a full uninstall with a deletion of file Photoshop 2015 and reinstall.  Source files cannot be installed correctly when they were mining and get on your computer. If you have saved your work in your Photoshop source file, try moving to a place of course before do you however. So you don't take any .psd files. When you reinstall it should not touch the .psd files. You will, however, when you do this, if you want to remove your preferences because they can ask questions.

  I can be a little weak, but I used the tool pipette and Illustrator all day and the eyedropper tool has now changed to what looks like a "target". How to return to the use of the normal eyedropper tool?

  Check if the caps lock shift key is activated, it would make a target.

  For color don't pick you could assign a color to the level of the group or trying to pick up the color of a picture or a symbol.

  I don't like talking to people of the trick of the SHIFT key as that picks up the CMYK values of colors based on the screen and not the actual color for example, but if you need a color about closed hold the SHIFT key to sample the color on your screen with the pipette.

  Also, double-click you your eyedropper and enable the setting if they are now closed to pick up objects...

• Why the eyedropper tool is not copy text format?

  I'm new here and just started using InDesign CC.

  I know that with the eyedropper tool, you can choose a color and copy it somewhere else but I read it must also collect format attribute s (characters, the font size, color, etc.) and apply it to the rest of the text. However, it seems that this is not an option in my mac. Whenever I try to copy text attributes, it only takes the text color (usually black) and not the format.

  Also when I double click the eyedropper icon I get not the Options menu of the pipette, where you can choose the contour settings, fill, character, paragraph & object but just the Options menu of color theme where I can only tick ' ignores the opacity and other effects applied everything by choosing colors '.

  Do you know the guy why my eyedropper can not pick up text attributes?

  Hi door12,

  I suggest you to please reset the tools first, and then restart Photoshop.

  If this does not help, please try to reset the Photoshop preferences.

  Before resetting preferences, please make a backup of the preferences.

  For Windows: Hold down Shift and Alt key and open Photoshop.

  For MAC: Hold down SHIFT and Option key, and then open Photoshop.

• Does not not on symbols of the eyedropper tool

  The eyedropper tool does not work on symbols, he picks up just black. But it works on most of the other machines I have, it's just a certain few. Any ideas?

  This bug is fixed in the latest version of CC animate (15.2.1)

  You can update your copy of Animate through the creative application of cloud and try it!

  Let us know if you still face problems.

• Adobe Photoshop Eyedropper Tool delay on Windows 10

  I've recently updated to windows 10. Since then, Photoshop freaks every time I use the eyedropper tool, especially when I use the shortcut of the space bar while I paint. I used to love the feature, but now, it takes a few seconds to register for the color, but also to start making wrong button noise everytime I try to change tools.

  Illustrator gives also some performance issues, especially with the pen tool. The line will appear only a few cklicks afetr.

  Use the keyboard shortcut to set the default foreground sample.

  The sample of foreground (top left in the screen shot) is visible and you just click on the color with the eyedropper tool to change.

  You can also use x to exchange the undertone in the foreground if you want to change that.

  I upgraded to OSX El Capitan, last week and everything seems to be working for Photoshop and Illustrator.

  I am running CS5 but Illustrator was crashing when I use the eyedropper tool.

  I try downloading the update, but it gives me an error message.

  Anyone know if there is a specific update for El Capitan again?

  I tweeted on Twitter @adobesupport. They returned to me an Adobe said no no longer support for CS5 or CS6.

  It is strategic to their side to prevent users to buy the latest version of the software, but unfortunately, this means for us who are pleased with our releases

  We are obliged either upgrade to CC or downgrade to Yosemite OSX or OS that supports are Adobe version.

  With regard to the eyedropper tool. The best solution I have found so far is to open the same image in Photoshop. Eye drops it and

  Copy the Sample Code in illustrator and click Add to swatches to have it registered for this particular design.

  I copied images of 3 different layers in Photoshop into Illustrator. One is an overview, another is a color fill and the last is a filled ellipse. When you try to use the eyedropper tool to get a color used in the fill color, it does not only show black or white. But he'll be looking for the fill color of the ellipse. It captures the other colors in the end document that I drew in Illustrator.

  Any idea what I need to do to make this work? I am at a loss.

  Thanks Mike!

  I think I knew what was going on. The pipette was picking up only the color of the outline layer so only became black when on a sketch and white when it is on the color fill area. If I delete the outline and left only the fill color and the pink background, the pipette works. The outline was blocking the pipette to access to the color fill. Don't know exactly how it works as the outline is not filled with color (obviously, otherwise the color fill below wouldn't show through). It is not completely transparent - it is just a preview.

  They are all copied to a new document on the same layer, but grouped. So I have to either remove the outline layer or disable in the - I'm not sure of the terminology here - layers that are in the layer (?).

• Eyedropper tool do not pick up color images (CC)

  I was never able to choose the colors of any type of image in Illustrator CC (last version) with the eyedropper tool. If I remember correctly, it was possible in CS6. I have reset the preferences, searched forums, played with pipette parameters without result. Is this possible? I'm tired of tracing image for the colors.

  Have you tried to use the Shift key with the color picker to access the color of an image? Don't forget it's just the colors of the monitor be returned on your specific monitor and may not be the actual color.

• The eyedropper tool does not work with a hue saturation adjustment layer

  I use PS CC 2014, and the problem I have is that when I have to use the eyedropper tool to adjust the range of colors affected by an adjustment layer Hue/Saturation, rather than selecting the color in the Properties window for the adjustment layer, use the eyedropper closed the window properties and change the foreground color in my palette.

  Here's the real hitch... the same thing happened to me at the school last night where a) the Mac is older and CS6 b) is always used.

  It's something with my user settings, to be sure, because the teacher logged into his account on the Mac I was using in the class test, and it worked for him. We have logged on my account and it still does work for mine.

  Any ideas?

  Looks like the kind of question reset preferences will probably correct.

  Press and hold Shift Cmd opt immediately after starting Photoshop
