F Yoga ThinkPad keys

Any help appreciated.

I'm trying to get my F keys to act in "legacy", so I don't need to hit the "Fn" key to get the "F key" to work as ordinary F keys.

Tried the Advanced BIOS boot. Don't give me the option there?

Hey Danny,

Welcome to the Community Forums of Lenovo!

To change the function back to the legacy keys is no longer available in the BIOS in most of the new ThinkPad models. You can try the Fn + esc combination which blocks, but when the computer restarts, it resets back to a default mode and you use the Fn + esc again.

I hope this helps!

Best regards

Mithun.

  • Yoga ThinkPad FN keys

    Hello

I completely reinstalled windows 8.1 pro on my ThinkPad Yoga. After that, I installed all the drivers, including the updates provided by Microsoft and Lenovo (using the 5 Lenovo system update).

But I can't use all the FN keys (which means special functions such as the opening of the bar pane windows 8 settings...) Also the orange led is lit on the F1 key (I guess this must indicate that my speakers are muted - but this led is always on).

What should I do or what I have to install also using all special keys FN, including the correct indication of the mute-LED?

you have the screen on installed? check under uninstall menu in Control Panel.

  • Yoga - Thinkpad receiver of messages shortcut hot keys 30% CPU use and after the screen lock or sleep

Hello! After returning from standby or locking screen, a process called 'Receiver of Thinkpad messages for shortcut shortcut keys' begins to use about 30% of the CPU. Time to go upo to battery of 60 to 70 degrees is running out very quickly. This process does not stop until I finish using the Task Manager. The end in this way, once it restarts even if I use sleep or lock the screen. Need help with this!

I do not have this problem as a month ago or not. Has probably seen the day after some updates.

On the edge of the T series, there is an update for this: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/t540p-high-cpu-usage-by-shtctky-exe-ThinkP...

I installed on the yoga. After the first reboot, a program called 'tposd.exe' used about 30% of cpu. I thought that this update does not work. But after the second restart that is not more. Shtctky.exe is not also using the cpu after sleep or lock. So I think we have a solution.

  • Pen digitizer yoga ThinkPad not replaceable?

    Hi all

I bought a thinkpad yoga with digitizer and when I tried to change the digitizer pen I can't get out. (I'm thinking a tib felt or rubber could never scratch the screen and he could give a better idea)
I tried the wacom tool to get the pen out and even a clamp tool Switzerland resulting a ffed place pen still in place, and I have to smooth it with sandpaper.

Lenovo was really so stupid not to make the feathers interchangeable or replaceable? Kind of majorly disappointed if this isn't...

The Yoga FRU BOM TP: http://download.lenovo.com/parts/ThinkPad/yoga_fru_bom_20140319.pdf the digitizer pen is FRU P/n: 04 X 6468

Looking at this page: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/detail.page?&DocID=PD030464 the digitizer pen carries a P/N: 4X80F22110 marketing

You can use the FRU P/N to search the site of service parts: http://www-304.ibm.com/shop/americas/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/default/PromotionDisplay?promoName=pa...

Both numbers can help you look for suppliers 3.

    I hope this helps.

Can it be linked to a recent Windows Update I did? (I'm on Windows 8.1)

  • ThinkPad Yoga 14 random reboots and keyboard stop

I am a Yoga Thinkpad 14, which was purchased on January 6, 2016, Lenovo. The thinkpad is still under warranty. Lately, I've known random interruptions and blockages of the keyboard. I'm just browsing as usual. It was very well but is not a problem. I get 3-4 stops per day. The battery is under voltage, and it does not matter if the power cord is connected or not. It is not a problem of sleep or the issue of closing lid. It is stopping or blocking, and I don't know when he's going to do. I ran the diagnostics LSC and everything was fine. No error code. I think this could be a hardware problem as no new software or hardware was loaded and it was OK for 6 months so far. Can I submit a service request, but before that, are there any suggestions?

The problem was that it was intermittent. I couldn't replicate the application myself. They had the laptop for a day. They ran a huge list of diagnoses and nothing came. So I think that it is more beneficial for them to replace the card. I can't blame them for not to isolate the problem. I sent the laptop in Tuesday. Get it back on Friday. So if yours is still under warranty, I would go in that direction. However most probably they will return the drive to stock up. I so copy all my data off in advance. Easy enough to do with a drive hard dock

  • ThinkPad Yoga S1 2nd Gen crashing in Tablet Mode

    Hi all.

I received a second generation Yoga Thinkpad S1 12 a few days ago. Everything works fine, except the Tablet mode. Sometimes when I'm browsing the web in tablet mode, the unit freezes. In addition, whenever I change direction, the device almost certainly crashes.

After going in the Task Manager, I discovered that the use of the disc going up to 100% for some reason any of several times in tablet mode, which is most likely the culprit. I'm pretty sure that the ISD_Tablet.exe driver is having a major memory leak that is the origin of overconsumption of disc.

I have already restarted, restored and updated through Windows Update Lenovo updated and several times, but no solution has been found.

Any of you guys have any ideas?

    Hey, it's me again.

Nevermind, I fixed the problem. I've updated the BIOS 1.10 of Lenovo update, and the problem disappeared.

  • ThinkPad BIOS 1.08 12 Yoga turns off the cooling fan.

See my post here (message 47):

    https://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/S-series-ThinkPads-ThinkPad-Yoga/ThinkPad-Yoga-12-2015-I7-5600U-1st-day...

Good and tried to install again, 1.08 and cooling fan still works.

So I guess it was ninja set or the order in which drivers/BIOS are installed.

  • X 1 yoga: cannot adjust the brightness

I can't adjust the brightness on my Thinkpad X 1 of Yoga. I ran all the updates driver, lenovo used and everything is up-to-date, including the BIOS. No matter what I do the brightness will either increase or decrease.

It is stuck on its maximum intensity, so is not too bad, and I would be reluctant to send in for repair and lose a week or work to get it fixed. Anyone can suggest that might help the wise software?

    Thank you!

Moderator Note: added the object model for better visibility.

In response to the customer reports that the brightness of the screen can be controlled via a key entry on X 1 Yoga ThinkPad, Lenovo has released a fix. The patch is a registry change to restore this function.

The patch can be downloaded here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds118463

A permanent fix will be delivered with the Intel driver in a future release.

    Thank you

  • X 1 yoga - cannot change the brightness

I just got my thinkpad yoga X 1 by post a few days ago and he is stuck with a maximum brightness. I tried to change the brightness by using the shortcut keys and controls for brightness in the bar of tasks and settings. The brightness meter will change the percentages, but the brightness of the screen does not change.

I did a factory reset, as well as uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers to display/video and moniter. I did a back roll of these drivers to the generic version as well.

I called tech support and they said it is probably a hardware problem, and I have to send it in for repair, which is frustrating for a new laptop. I could rather Lenovo to send me a new replacement?

  • x 1 display of yoga problems

I have a basic version of Windows 10 LTSB installed on my x 1 yoga with an OLED display.

I've updated the drivers via system update and Device Manager is not to say that all the drivers are missing. Whenever I put my laptop on 100% brightness, the display turns off.

Anyone else have happen to them?

For other customers affected by this problem, as applied the registry Jasonlu71 patch solved this problem, think Engineering was able to confirm the root cause.

Thus, for this and other client reports this setting the screen at 100% brightness, the display shuts down unexpectedly on X 1 Yoga ThinkPad, Lenovo has requested an update of the video driver from Intel.

In the meantime, please remove the current driver and install Intel HD Graphics Driver v.20.19.15.4474. It can be downloaded here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds105466

  • Stylus Pro - pressure - Lenovo Yoga 3 sensitivity

    Hey guys,.

I'm having some trouble with the pressure sensitivity.

The support of yoga 3 Lenovo pressure sensitivity? (I thought it would be, in a computer laptop touch screen)

I use Adobe Illustrator CC with a stylus - Adonit Jot Pro.

I can't use the functions of sensitivity of pressure in illustrator. I tried download a few Wacom drivers, however they did not make a difference.

If the Yoga 3 Pro actually has the functions of pressure sensitivity, how can I enable or download the drivers... Basically, how can I solve this?

    Thank you!

Good day and welcome to the community.

Yoga 3 Pro has a multi-touch capacitive touch screen (vs. an active digitizer).

If you need features of Wacom-style (pressure levels, control fine tip, etc.) you will need a properly equipped machine, as a number of models ThinkPad Yoga, ThinkPad Helix or the ThinkPad Tablet 10.

    Hope this helps to clarify.

    Kind regards.
