  I sailed right there myself, the drivers are there. I guess that the disk was made before the release of Windows 7 and if pilots could not be loaded on it.

• F340 HP all-in-one printer fatal error during installation

  I got my F340 all-in-one printer for a while and it worked great.  Last week I had some problems with her answer and since a stop restarting didn't work, I uninstalled the printer and tried to reinstall it.  Trying to reinstall, I get a fatal error message and one cannot install the printer.  I tried two methods of using USB connect the printer to the computer and also download it from the HP website. (I have Vista) Both methods gave me a fatal error and could not install the printer.  I also ran through the HP Solutions for install errors that was sent to my office with no better result. Install the closer I got to get a complete, there is a list of 5 items (don't remember what they all are) the first 4 ready to employment and the last of which was something like HP F340 - fatal error series.

  WEIRD!  Immediately after this announcement, I tried once more to plug into the computer, and it WORKED... I have nothing different from the other times.   IF FRUSTRATING and again WOO HOO happy it worked this time!

  Start > printers and faxes > right click on the printer icon > use printer online.

  You can also do it in the window for the printer in question print queue (where, I suppose, you "erased the unprinted documents").  In this window, click Printer > use printer online

  We had a very short temporary blackout in mid-August. Who put my turn out of service until I could afford a new

  Pleae insert the printer installation CD and contant go through it:

  Locate Setup\SolutionCenter\SolutionCenter.msi, right click on the file and click on repair.

  Confirm an alert during the installation.

  Search now Setup\Scan\Scan.msi, right-click, and then click on repair... to confirm an alert as before.

  Restart your PC and launch the HP Solution Center now.

  You don't see any change?

• DeskJet F340 AiO will print but not scan

  I recently got a new Macbook pro OS 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard) and hooked up to my old printer to it. Previously, I had been printing/scanning out of a Macbook under Leopard, I think that (circa 2006).

  Printing works fine, but when I try to scan a picture I still get the same error. HP Scan Pro appears, the scanner starts a buzz and do its thing, but on that Mid-scan a window pops up that says: "Sorry, an unknown error has occurred" and abandons him. I downloaded and installed the software on the HP site for this printer when I first connected it up to my new computer, so I don't think that I am devoid of software. I have reset the system print, uninstalled/reinstalled the software and deleted and then added the printer to my preferences system, all to nothing does not.

  Anyone know what this mysterious "uknown error" might be and how I could fix this? Thanks in advance!

  Download the drivers for printer/scanner update from Apple.  They are sometimes different from what is responsible for the operating system.

• Vista Home 64 Bit - impossible to reinstall HP F340

  Print job would not remove and stopped all other print jobs.  I uninstalled the printer and then tried to re - install.  Message says that my system is not compatible since I have Vista 64 bit - but worked OK before 2 years?  any ideas how I can re - install.

  First of all I suggest you perform a clean of the printer drivers & software uninstall. See uninstalling the printer software. Then, install the software. It should settle without any problem.

  I recently installed a new color cartridge, printed on the alignment sheet and aligned according to the instructions.  My problem is that I use my computer that the message arrives that I need to align again everytime.  I traced changed several times, and it always happens.  How can I get rid of this message?

  I would also remove the cartridges from the printer and clean the contacts.

  * Remove printer cartridges so that

  Unplug the printer from power source

  * Get a lint cloth and water

  * Clean each cartridge contacts and the contacts to the printer

  * Wipe the contacts

  * Printer power up

  Install cartridges

  Let me know if this helps to get the alignment to cross successfully and stop trying to align.

• Printer is incredibly slow

  Recently, our printer (Deskjet F340) began to act up. He would print very slowly. There should be an age the printer starts to print any document, and then it would print clean broke both. Sometimes, especially with images, it may take more than an hour to complete a print job.

  I noticed that when I opened the window Active prints which displays print information, it does not seem to transfer all the data to the printer. For example, under size, it says 6.5MB/8.2MB. Never, it loads the rest. Sometimes the pictures come out discolored as well. All scanning and copy functions work fine. I tried 2 different ports, and USB cables reinstalled the printer software and drivers and cleared the print spooler. Still no luck. I had no problems until a week or two ago.

  The computer is a HP. AMD Phenom II Quad-Core, 1 TB HDD, 8 GB RAM, Windows 7 HP 64-bit.

  lol I don't really know what happened, but it just started working again, by itself. So thanks anyway.

• No control over printing

  I have a HP Deskjet F340 all-in-one, connected to an Imac running Mac OS x 10.6.8.  I just upgraded to this operating system. I downloaded and installed the latest HP soft ware, but had reset the printer to operate.  Now it prints like crazy, but when I click Print on the file menu, I get a box that allows me to PRINT, CANCEL, or SCHEDULED.  I have no control over the number of copies, or the pages I want to print from the file.  I used to get a menu that allowed me to make these choices, but since updates, I can't find it anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

  In the print window, click the arrow next to the name of the printer to make it point upwards.
