  I just installed Firefox 14 and Facebook chat work anymore. Also, I can't get down to the bottom of the window for messages and updates. the portable version of Firefox 14 the same features. I have reinstalled Firefox, cleared cache and cookies and stop Adblock and blocker have disabled. I rebooted the machine several times. I use Windows XP. All applications and modules use the latest versions.

  When I use the private browsing mode, Facebook works very well.

  Facebook Chat is not available in beta version of Firefox, however it works very well in Internet Explore. I ask please discuss and let us know if this is related to Facebook or Mozilla, the chat option works fine on Internet Explore. As Mozilla is much better than IE, I ask you to consider this so that I can continue to use Mozilla.   You should try to clear the cache-
  Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

  Also try to delete unwanted cookies-
  Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  Have you tried running on issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode to see what plugin/addon etc which may cause?

  Posted this to tell you that I use Facebook and when I chat with friends, that I get no sound what they responded to what I wrote to them, there is the menu of 'Cat' 'Options' where I can choose to turn on/off the sound, but it won't work, even with the pop-up window closed by clicking on the name of which I am the cat with is there a fault with the sound, cat sound work with a plugin?
