  I bought a laptop that has plain old Windows 8 on it and I need to downgrade from Windows 7, because our database program does not work with Windows 8.  I contacted Dell and they said I should be able to install Windows 7 on this laptop.  I have a license for Windows 7 Pro.  I put Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) with SP 1 on a DVD.

  First of all, it's weird, because I tried to back up (create a system image) of Windows 8 and has been unable to do.  I have an external hard drive with 222 GB free, and says saving it would be approximately 22 GB.  Always backup said that he was unable to create the image, because there was not enough room.  I finally gave up, because I really hate Win8 now, so I don't care if I have a backup.

  I called the support for volume licensing Center, and he said that he did a search on the status code and found that someone said to use gpedit.msc to deactivate the digital signature verification.  But he did not know how to find in Windows 8.  Well, it turns out that this is the editor of group policy, which is not regular old Windows 8.  More that he couldn't help me without me.  But he said that I should be able to install Windows 7 on this laptop.

  I just install Windows 7 Pro on this laptop.  How can I do that and substitute the verification of digital signature?

  Go into the bios and see if there is an option for legacy startup or disable secure boot.

  Last month, I noticed that my Chrome was an enhancer of text and then, after a while, I started to find Helperbar as an engine for my homepage and research. I continued remove Helperbar Chrome settings such as he kept reappearing, and then finally I uninstalled and reset the settings several times. I also had to remove from Safari.   You can disable the caps. No need to yell. You try to share a printer on a network. It must be established as a shared resource on the computer where the printer is connected. Can you share files between the desktop and the laptop on the network?

  I found out where was my problem.

  the real problem is that the commputer has 2 port USB 3.0 port and 1 usb 2.0 by material.

  The bios doesn't have the option to change usb 3.0 auto or 2.0 then by default always are fixed.

  Then I placing me the booteable USB in USB 3.0 ports and installation of windows start and start normally, but send the error missing CD/DVD and the driver and the HARD drive can not be considered.

  the Solution was to put the USB in the only USB 2.0 available in the computer and the installation of W7 has suscessful

  This is the problem that the USB key must be in the USB 2.0 port to get see the HARD disk and downgrade the W8 for W7 in this particular model.

  Now, your specific model, USB drivers cannot install by running the file, so you'll have to do a bit of work.

  Another thing that I was informed yesterday by another Member of the forum.

  Also note that load capacity: 89%. This means that your battery is exhausted. This is the max your battery can take care of.

  It is an indication of some possibilities. I would try #1 first, then #2.

  (1) a problem with the AC adapter. It's probably not that the question if you are able to remove the battery, connect the power adapter and start-up in Windows.

  (2) in the battery method control compatible ACPI Microsoft operating system device drivers could be damaged.  See the image below.

  

  Call the Device Manager.

  Uninstall the driver from the power adapter plugged. Ignore the warning.

  After it is uninstalled, right click on any device and select search the hardware changes.

  The operating system must install a new copy of the device compatible Microsoft ACPI control method battery driver.

  (3) failure of the circuit electrical distribution\charging on the motherboard

  If it does not help it is time to use the warranty. The battery, adapter and motherboard are replaceable without cost to you, as long as the warranty is still in effect.

  IV had my hp laptop for about a year now, never had any problems so far. today on 4 occasions to sepearte she stop and come up with an error message. I noticed that it is only upward for example, if I raise my laptop and move from the couch to the table or even to reposition when I sit, even though I am very soft.

I looked into your problem on your laptop 15 HP and an appearing with a blue screen error message. I find a fix for the error message and it says that there is an incorrect driver installed. So, if you could take a screenshot of your device manager would be great.

  If you see something in there or USB Serial Bus peripheral or other devices which have a yellow question mark on it. I right click and uninstall the device.

  Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

  Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updated.

I did not understand what it was for, and I deleted it after a day or two. Now that I've played with the computer some I went to download some applications more on my laptop to find out that I sign my Microsoft account to do so. Unfortunately I can't do now, and I can add the account because it says that my original email address is no longer available. Since it is the one that I used to link my profile for I don't know what to do now to make changes to my laptop. I can't even access my profile on my laptop to make changes as he wants my Microsoft Connect account you who says it's different then that I am logged as long as and that I should sign out and resign with this password! Help! I don't want to back to factory setting, but that is my only recourse now?

  Having some problems with the latest 1.24.

  Basically the SL400 shut down (shutdown, sleep or Hibernate). It executes a restart instead of a shutdown. Excluded bone (tried with a bootable Acronis Recovery OS install with no update floppy), seeks essentially to hardware or BIOS.

  If there are drivers Windows XP download, then all the (each in its own file name: drivers card mother/chipset, SATA, Firewire (1394), LAN, USB, Audio, Etc., and so on) and then burn all the files of driver on a CD or a DVD.

  If no XP driver is listed for you brand and model, then probably XP does not work on your laptop.
