  Often, links to email in bulk are routed via a follow-up rather than service directly to its final destination. If you look at the address bar on the image page, it seems like one of these intermediaries rather than the page you expect to load? If you click on the address bar and press ENTER to retry the address, which does nothing?

  It is possible that the security software or security add-on kills a redirect from this intermediate page to the final destination. For example, I think the anti-banner Kaspersky functionality could do that.

  This could be a problem with the cache (disk).

• When I try to print, and the HTML document firefox downloads only a blank page.

  I sent some documents in pdf format. I chose to download, the download arrow fired to the blue. I was then able to select the file. Opening the page print the normal browser and I was able to print. I need to reprint pages and this is where my problem comes in. All my downloaded pdf files types changed html firefox for documents adobe acrobat documents. I can now print what I want. I know that technically it does not really solve the problem of firefox regardless of this issue, but this allowed me to print my docs and that's what really mattered to me.   After posting the question, I uninstalled Firefox and then download new and installed. Still the problem remained.
  After about 2 hours I still once uninstalled, downloaded again and installed.
  This time it worked perfectly as before.

  Windows hides certain default file extensions.
  Among them are .html, .ini and .js, .txt, so you can see only file name without the file extension.
  You can see the type of actual file (file extension) in the properties of the file via the context menu in Windows Explorer.

  The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.

  You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
  The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

  You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.
