Facing questions on the computer of Windows 8

Hi there, my desktop computer (with windows pre-installed 8) worked well for 12 months, until it upgraded to windows 8.1.  blue screen basically said that windows did not load properly (or works for this purpose) I'm not particularly good with computers then taken to a computer shop.  The computer shop asked for the disc of windows 8 that I have, but not the blue liner with the code license.  The computer shop said that they do help me more.  Cannot so one get a permit for the drive I have?  Or am I sabotaged?

Since you had windows installed 8.0 when you bought your computer, you should have a recovery Partition and when you perform a restore will be automatically retrieved the activation key and your Windows is activated. Product keys are now stored in the motherboard. Use the disk that you have if it came with your computer and your Windows 8 will be activated automatically. If the disc is from another source, it will not work unless you buy a new product key. Buy the way I would do the computer shop to solve your problem or refund you. Hope this helps and if you need any additional aid station and we will be happy to help you.

    OT: Help me please...

with a degenerative brain disease of more changes of today have totally confused me - particularly the visuals - everything I had the habit of pages is changing - google - my email - my ISP - it's just too take taken enough inside long to get used to win 8 - todays updates are the worst for me - stress and anxiety today don't contribute - what should I do - give up the computer? -I live alone, but not home - my computer has been my lifeline - now I'm afraid its my Glas...

Your programmers need to start working on programs for the mentally handicapped who are literate and have some of their spirit on them - but change led to confusion... and there are too many change!

    Pls reply to my email.

Most of that is not something that we can really control.  Google for example like to keep things fresh and constantly changing their drawings and models and options and things.  But as you have seen, it is certainly not a behavior limited to just Google.

One of the best things I can recommend is really the most consistency, to choose a program like you who can interface with the service, still provide compatible environment. Taking the e-mail for example, instead of using Gmail or your ISP site that allows to change, use a program such as Windows Live Mail that will not change (because it's a program installed that won't change unless you intentionally go get a new version).  So no matter what happens on the site of the ISP, your mail will still look and work the same way.

How to disable the automatic locking of the screen of the computer with windows XP? so many people responded on windows 7, but NOT a SINGLE spoke of XP.  I have this problem.  screen goes into sleep mode and I have to wake up even if NO PASSWORD is selected.  I changed the POWER SETTINGS. Well since it is already assigned, and a mod has not moved this somehow already in the XP section:

On your desktop, right-click right properties, under the screen saver are of course "on Resume, display logon screen" is NOT checked. You can also disable screen saver.

I'm sorry, but you will need a Windows 9 x / ME drive to provide during the XP installation from the XP disc is a version upgrade. There is no way around that. See if you can find a friend with an older operating system disk (not a recovery disk) to support qualification. Otherwise, you would need to buy the full version (not upgrade) of XP to install on the computer. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

    Hello

Please note that it may depend on the versions of Vista and Win 7 you have.

RTD connection consists on the client computer (the computer that initiates the connection) and a host (the computer on which the connection will too.

All versions of Windows can act as Clients.

    Can host only Vista/Win 7 Pro/ultimate/Ent.

Therefore, if you have the OS Home versions', you might be out of luck.

    Yes!

It's a scam and with various names and phone numbers, is
    very frequent lately.

In addition to their money get on your part to do anything of any value,
If you leave them in your computer, which knows what losses they did are
    where confidential information they stole.

So if you have done so, I highly recommend that you do both of the following
    immediately:

1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.
    2. change all of your passwords, especially banks or other

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: Analysis of problems of printer to the computer using windows 10

I just upgraded to Windows 10 and now I'm not able to scan from the printer to the computer. I can scan the other way IE. computer to scan but is not as convenient. I had no question before the upgrade. The error message I get is

"The analysis could not be performed because of one or more of the following problems:

-L' scanning on the computer application is currently in use.

-Application OCR is not installed on the computer.

First of all it is connected with a usb cable, so no logical reason why the connection is lost.

Secondly it is not used because I am trying to use it

Third, it has baffled me because there is no reason why the OCR application is now gone, he worked before windows 10.

and finally there is no detail on the computer screen, why it tells me that I do not understand.

    Hello again,

Looks like the next option is to uninstall & reinstall the printer software. This will ensure that the scan to computer option is restored.

I'm trying to implement the jobs of the company for wake on LAN and strange problems. I have two identical workstations except one is 32-bit and the other is 64-bit.
