Failed disk Seagate used CD of HP recovery and windows won't complete installation...

Hello long player date people initially displays......

I have an older machine of the HP A6567c... that has been modernized with almost new under the motherboard, processor and ram... Ive swapped the power provides the gpu and of course HD... heres so my question...

I use a 1 TB hd seagate... Recently it failed on me, so I sent away from replacement since it is under warranty... they me sent a disk of 1 TB of Nice refurbed which is half of the width of my other more old... which I thought was weird... but I installed it anyway... I ran the cd HP 3 recovery al was going well until he went to complete your installation of windows... and then I got an error message saying: could not complete my installation of windows... Please reinstall windows... I was stunned... Ive replaced maybe 4 or5 readers in my time and I've never seen elsewhere... so, I read somewhere to disconnect printers and GPU and nothing that I did this retrial and same issue... so I went diggin' autour and found an article stating that more old CD of HP recovery do not allow some drivers be installed on recovery as what the new style HD session require... and skip this premise I ended up finding a few articles more where people have said the same thing...

So im at a loss for why the recovery CD don't work... someone knows if there are more recent style recovery CD that work with the new drives? Ive read some forums of HP where others had the question and have had mixed responses from HP support a tech saying they had to buy all new recovery CD, while the other tech said a customer they should improve their OS... I guess that I wouldn't mind upgrading to Win7 from my vista home Prem 64 I hear win 7 is better... but i only run 4 gig of ram so win7 would go on my computer?

Also if there is a new hard drive in style... What's the beef with them? What makes them so different for older... Unfortunately with this being a holiday weekend im GROUND on get ahold of Seagate... so im stuck waiting til dec 1 Monday to get their hands on them... but I was hoping someone could find it and give me some ideas...

Thank you

Starbuxx

Hello

Run the hardware BIOS diagnostic and make sure that your PC is OK. Check with Seagate and be sure that the hard disk that you received is not a drive hard format advanced, because these types of discs will not work with former HP recovery programs.

If your PC does not have BIOS version 5.32 or superior and a 7 GB or more then remove some DIMM memory in order to reduce the total less than 7 GB.  You can install the latest BIOS updates after the recovery of your PC.

  • Windows does not start after the use of CD "" Toshiba Recovery and Applications/drivers ".

Well my Toshiba Satellite A205-S5814 laptop was very slow and I was getting very frustrated with it, so I decided pop in the CD "Toshiba Applications/Drvers" perhaps to restore my laptop to factory settings and run perfect once again.

As I was doing this operation and tried fixing it, the thing finished and off the laptop. And when I turned it back on, Windows will now start and give me the Windows Boot Manager screen. My laptop had Vista on it and I even tried to install Windows XP Home Edition on it with a disk I had. But whenever he's going to do, he says he can find t any hard drive? But for sure, there is a hard drive!

I do not understand what has happened and why this Toshiba drive ruined my laptop. Before I used this drive my laptop has always works and works OK, it has been slow but still booted Vista and stuff ran. Can someone please help me or tell me what to do, I think that Toshiba has messed up my laptop with disc here, and I don't think that we should have to pay so he can get fixed.
    Please help me.

    Hello!

I don t think that the Toshiba Recovery disk ruined your laptop.

If I am right on the recovery disk is Vista and it was installed before. I think the installation going something wrong.
When you get the Windows Boot Manager you can fix your computer? You can reinstall Vista without the recovery disk when you choose this option, then Toshiba product recovery.

When you install Windows XP, you need a SATA driver. If you don t use one, you will get this error which can t find hard drives.
You can download it on the Toshiba site and after booting from the XP CD, you must press F6 to load drivers from a floppy external drive or use you nLite to create a disc with drivers.

  • Rescue and recovery and windows 8.1

    Hello

For the last 4 years, I used Rescue and Recovery on the my ThinkPad to keep backups (really liked the functionality of incremental backup) and restore unique when files necessary.

I have now just received a new X 1 carbon gen3 coming with default Windows 8.1 and a lot of the classic ThinkVantage tools are missing. I've heard many of these tools no longer exist or are replaced by "apps".

But what of Rescue and Recovery? Impossible to find anywhere for Windows 8.1 and it is really a great tool.

Any idea? I just missed the link somewhere? It's official, and it tools is not taken in charge (and will never) on Windows 8.1? No work around? (such as installation of Windows 7 and cross my fingers?)

Thanks for your comments on that (I'm already hating Windows 8.1, fortunately Windows 10 will be better...)

Rescue and Recovery is not supported on 8 win 8.1 you can try using windows backup.

  • I use FF 2.0.0 and Windows Millennium Edition. Is a newer version of FF compatible with my system?

    1: I can't update Firefox automatically

    2. adobe shockwave errors appear frequently.

What is the latest version of Firefox running on Windows ME and I can download it? The question of the shock wave will disappear?

No sorry the last version to work on old Windows Me was the Firefox 2.0.0. 20 you have.

From Firefox 3.0. * and most recent earlier that Firefox ran to Windows 2000.

The KernalEX may be able to work on your WinME patching so that it can run some programs as if it were Win200/WinXP, although the most recent, you should be able to run will be the Firefox 3.6. * (3.6.20 is underway).

  • Scanning using a printer Kodak 3250 and Windows 7.

This is the first time I needed to scan. I followed the instructions for the scan of a page of a document I want to make changes. Once I followed the instructions to make a new scan, I get the menu printer and it is set to photography and other things by default. No place to check the size of the page or anything like that. When I clicked on start, the printer kept analysis an infinite number of pages in a file document, all the great super size - not to the size of the original portrait. The pages were numbered from 1 to 8 years before I stopped scanning. I tried several times with the same useless results. The preview of one of the pages seemed to be the right size, but the latter has not been analyzed like that. I follow all the on-screen instructions every step of the way. You can actually installing them on an infinite number of machines, but your license/activation is good for two. You just close one before connect you on a third.

  • Recovery and upgrade to win 8

I use the HP pavilion g6 2020se runnig real win 7 and plan to upgrade to Windows 8.

I created Hp recovery discs and my hard drive also contains the recovery partition.

Before the upgrade, I have a few q:

    1. will I have dual boot options (win 7 and win 8) after I upgrade? Y at - it a facility during the upgrade to display the partition where win 8 needs to be installed?

    2. after the upgrade to win 8, removing previous installtion of windows 7 (i.e., removal of system "windows.old" folder) will affect the recovery procedures in the future?  More clearly, will be F11 or recovery disks work after doing the deletion above?

    3. If after the upgrade I want to downgrade to win 7 (the same State just before the upgrade), how to ensure that all my win 7 postulants windows updates and stay as it is just before the upgrade.

    Help PLz...

    You are welcome.

Not sure why the link doesn't work, but I'll give you the link below. It worked for me earlier. The optimal path to get Windows 7 on the system is to use the recovery discs. The link is provided to enable the option to use the windows.old folder to go back, but you do not use this option which makes the irrelevant link at this point. But it's a good backup plan.

The recovery discs are intended to operate independently of any software on the hard drive. In fact, this is how the replacement of hard drives is installed. A hard drive goes out, a new one is mounted (and free of any software or partitions), and the recovery discs (the user created or sent by HP) are used to reinstall all of the original software. Little matter if the hard drive is empty or not, but what is important, is that it is the same computer that the recovery discs were made for based on the serial number and other factors. Be assured that the recovery disks will work as long as the material is physically the same and serial number matches, which is coded in the recovery disks.

I used my discs of recovery of Windows 7 on a hard drive wiped several times, including the case using an advanced hard drive "cleaner" to erase all data.

My own experience can enlighten us on that. I installed Windows 8 (or five) about four times on my laptop due to various problems of Windows 8. I will note, the questions were the result of my laptop is too old and not designed for Windows 8. Whenever I returned to Windows 7, I used the recovery without problem discs. This should be the same experience you have.

The only time that the recovery disks can fail, it is if a smaller hard disk replacing the hard drive from the factory.

The answer to the question of recovery of the disc is Yes on both accounts.

The Windows.old folder has nothing to do with the (user created or sent by HP) HP recovery disks. Windows.Old is the culmination of a process of upgrading Microsoft in case something goes wrong, while the old data is not lost. It's more than a safety net which allows to return to the previous Windows without wiping the hard disk entirely. Since the windows.old folder should not be used to go back to Windows 7, think of it as a Museum of old files Windows. There is at this stage as archive.

I hope I answered your questions and removed any doubt about the recovery disks.

  • Unable to print JPG files using Windows MS Office PhotoViewer and Windows 7?

I can't print a photo (JPG or JPEG file) using MS Office 10 Photoviewer and Windows 7. I followed the instructions in the chapter "How to print a photo" image is able to be consulted in the wizard, but it prints a blank page. I can print the picture using the browser Zoom of Canon. I have a HP Color LaserJet CP3505dn.  All other printing works very well. PDF print perfectly as Word and Publisher files. It is only when I try to print using MS Office Photoviewer.

I searced the Web for a solution and can not find a. Other forums say it is a bug in Windows 7, but surely it would have been fixed now.

I have Windows 7 32 bit and MS Office 10. This problem is a huge drawback, and ask a solution of Microsoft as of emergency.
