Windows does not start after the use of CD "" Toshiba Recovery and Applications/drivers ".

Well my Toshiba Satellite A205-S5814 laptop was very slow and I was getting very frustrated with it, so I decided pop in the CD "Toshiba Applications/Drvers" perhaps to restore my laptop to factory settings and run perfect once again.

As I was doing this operation and tried fixing it, the thing finished and off the laptop. And when I turned it back on, Windows will now start and give me the Windows Boot Manager screen. My laptop had Vista on it and I even tried to install Windows XP Home Edition on it with a disk I had. But whenever he's going to do, he says he can find t any hard drive? But for sure, there is a hard drive!

I do not understand what has happened and why this Toshiba drive ruined my laptop. Before I used this drive my laptop has always works and works OK, it has been slow but still booted Vista and stuff ran. Can someone please help me or tell me what to do, I think that Toshiba has messed up my laptop with disc here, and I don't think that we should have to pay so he can get fixed.
Please help me.

Hello!

I don t think that the Toshiba Recovery disk ruined your laptop.

If I am right on the recovery disk is Vista and it was installed before. I think the installation going something wrong.
When you get the Windows Boot Manager you can fix your computer? You can reinstall Vista without the recovery disk when you choose this option, then Toshiba product recovery.

When you install Windows XP, you need a SATA driver. If you don t use one, you will get this error which can t find hard drives.
You can download it on the Toshiba site and after booting from the XP CD, you must press F6 to load drivers from a floppy external drive or use you nLite to create a disc with drivers.

Good bye

This has happened right after that I installed the update...

    L.Butler,
Are you able to boot from your Vista DVD or recovery partion and run the Startup Repair tool?  If you do not have a Vista disc so make sure that your computer is configured to boot from the CD drive before booting from the hard drive.  Once you start with support for Vista select the "Repair your computer" option and first run "Startup Repair".  If that is not correct the problem then boot with Vista support and select the option "System Restore" and choose a date prior to the update install.
Once you are able to boot normally again, then I suggest that you are looking for virus\malware.  SP1 was released in April 2008.  So if you install earlier means there may be other problems on your system.  If you have a backup of your current personal data then I recommend to do a clean restore to install\factory.  Then immediately install antivirus software, and then do all Windows updates before installing other software. • Hard drive does not start after the use of the recovery on USB Manager

The hard drive on HP G62t - 350 CTO Notebook to my newphew failed. I could create a USB recovery in the Recovery Manager. I installed a new 120 GB SSD. The original hard drive was bigger, do not remember now but 250 or 500 GB. I know that the recover the system after the hard is replaced (Windows 7) said "to avoid problems, install a hard drive as big or bigger than the replaced hard disk", but that's a question for later.

Computer started fine of USB (in fact, is set to boot from USB if present by default). Recovery Manager starts. I choose minimum installation. He goes through the process of partitioning the SSD and copying files. Said so to remove the external media and restart, the computer will restart several times during the process, blah, blah, blah. I get out of USB and restarted, but after POST I get "no bootable media present.

If I try to reboot, leaving the USB in, it starts in USB and that we are at the beginning. I am able to confirm with a rescue disk, the SSD has an NTFS partition that had Windows files copied to it and a large amount of unallocated space. (Something like 60% / 40%).

    So:

    1. How make bootable hard drive for, and if it was bootable, recovery processes complete?
    2. What is happening with the partitions? He creates the partition recovery first, and then after the start, the recovery partition installs the operating system? If so, I might have to give up this process because since I'm moving to smaller storage, I don't want to devote half of the drive to a recovery partition.
    3. Official recovery media help? A technician told me that he would do so, but couldn't explain to my satisfaction why the USB I created with Recovery Manager does not work, so I'm suspicious of the assertion that the media created by HP as opposed to media created by me using the own HP software would be better, and since the computer is under warranty I don't want to spend $30 + to find out.

Most of the people who have installed an SSD that was smaller than the reader of the factory were unable to use any medium recovery HP with the SSD.

As an alternative, if you can still read the 25 characters on the COA affixed Microsoft Windows product key at the bottom of the computer, you can install Windows 7 family, by using this key. Please see "how to install Windows 7 without the disc" to get instructions on how to download Windows 7, create the installation media and install Windows 7 using the product key 25 character of the COA Microsoft on your computer. Please note that this facility is not all customizations of HP or HP value-added that was original installed on your computer. • Windows does not start after the installation of NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500. Help!

Before, I had a Sparkle GeForce2 MX400 64 MB AGP Graphics Card with the installed driver. I have not had any problems with him, but I need to upgrade, so I got a NVIDIA Inno3D GeForce FX5500 256 MB 128 bit AGP graphics card. So, the thing is, before I installed the driver for it, the computer was working fine, but of course I can't play games. So I downloaded the driver from NVIDIA (175,19 I think), and I installed it in safe mode to avoid any conflict with my antivirus. The installation is complete, and the system restarted. Everything was going well until after the windows logo (by the way, I'm on Windows XP Pro SP3), when the system crashed all of a sudden. The screen turns off, the unit of the system itself was still on, but it does not. I tried enabling / disabling the NumLock, CapsLock button to check if there is an answer, but I have nothing. I manually turned the computer off, waited for about 3 minutes, the market again, but again, the system crashes after the screen Logo of Windows XP. I started in SafeMode again, uninstalled the NVIDIA driver, restart the system and everything went back to normal. I retried my old 64 MB AGP card and it still works fine. I really need to install the driver to make the most of my 256 MB graphics card. Can anyone help please?
So far I did the following:
    1. re-installed Windows XP
2 re-installed the driver NVIDIA about 5 times already.
    3. update all the drivers of my motherboard.
    4. completely removed all traces of NVIDIA using Drive Cleaner and put it back.
    5 installed DirectX 9.0.
Still, none of them worked. Help!

    Here are my computer specs:
    OS: Windows XP Pro SP3
    Motherboard: ECS 661FX-M rev 1. 0 b
    Processor: Pentium 4 2.4 GHz
    RAM: 768 MB
HARD drive: 1x80GB IDE slave, 1x20GB IDE Master
BIOS: Phoenix Tech, LTD 6.00 PG 01/18/2006 v2.2
    Antivirus: Avast free Antivirus v6

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! :)

PS: I know that my computer is really old. But please don't advise me to upgrade the entire computer or something like that. I can't afford to buy right now a new. Thank you.

    Hello

I suggest to start the computer in safe mode and check if you can start.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/boot_failsafe.mspx?mfr=true

If you are able to start the computer in safe mode, then go to Device Manager and uninstall the drivers for the graphics card and restart the computer.

If it boots fine in normal mode and then try to install the latest drivers in normal mode and check if that helps.

    Check if that helps.

  • Windows does not start after the start menu after installing own home premium 7 on the Dell Inspiron Duo

I did a clean install of windows 7 Home premium 64 on my dell inspiron duo 1090, returning 8.  This laptop does not have a disk drive or an Ethernet port.  I used Installer 64 bit of this Web site and the corresponding link.  http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_8-windows_install/can-i-revert-back-to-Windows-7-from-Windows-8/f8f5aaaa-8a18-4255-a6b2-5ecd6840d7ab

It installed perfectly fine at first.  I was unaware of the proper order of pilot facilities and went first on the network drivers.  Designed for cordless operation and then use the updates automatic/driver finder.   After going on the dell site and download the drivers of network to a flashdrive from another computer, I then unpacked and used the setup.exe.  Now, when you try to restart the computer it perpetually loop screen Dell, the only options in F2 for Setup or F12 for boot options (the only option being the hard drive boot because there is no disk drive physical and nothing mounted on a virtual disk drive).

Any help is appreciated and ask all the details that I left out.

    Thank you-

I intend to use this laptop for school and Windows 7 is required for course work.

    Perform the following steps:

    ====================== Keyless Install ================================

How to make a 'Keyless Install"of Windows:

Boot from the DVD of Windows 7 disc or a USB flash drive that you created, and launch the installation.

After you have entered the user name and password that you will be asked:
"Type your Windows product key", do not enter a key.
Also located just below the box where you enter the key is a box with a check mark
to "Automatically activate Windows when I'm online", remove the check box and click "next".

You now have a 30-day grace period to activate Windows.

During the grace period, you can install your device drivers,
run Windows updates and solve other problems or issues.
Once you are satisfied everything is working properly, and then activate Windows.

    ====================== Device Drivers ===============================

Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site and search for Windows 7 drivers for your specific model number.

If there are Windows 7 drivers, then download to a folder on your hard drive and install all, beginning with the card mother/chipset drivers, SATA, LAN, Audio, USB, graphics, Webcam, Etc., and so on.

  • Pavilion DV6-2140ED: Pavilion DV6: 10 Windows does not start after the upgrade memory (4 GB-> 8 GB)

After I upgraded the RAM in my HP DV6 from 4 GB to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB Kingston KTA-MB1333 / 4G), Windows no longer starts. I get a blue screen and it keeps restarting.

I think that the memory specifications are similar to the Samsung M471B5673EH1-CH9 original memory: Ghz 1333, non - ecc, 1.5 volts, case latency 9 etc.etc.

    It's a laptop DV6-2140ED HP with a processor Intel i5 - 430 m and Intel mobile chipset HM55.

The bios detects 8 GB and it also passes the check/test of memory. As far as I know that I have also installed the latest bios firmware: F.1D. Reinstall my Windows 10 64 bit does not work either: with 8 GB I also get blue screens, after I try to boot my Windows 10 bootable USB drive.

I read other people having the same problem, but I have not read a solution yet. What can we do about it?

  • ENVY M6 - 1184ca: 8.1 for Windows does not start after the installation of update KB2919355

Updating Windows 8.1 KB2919355 has proved to be extremely problematic for me. When he was released at the beginning of 2014 that I was not able to get installed it with the exception of two occasions, the first being several months ago and the second time, a few days ago. I have constant pain to try to get the update of KB2919355 until recently. What finally got the update installed was opened as administrator command prompt and type the following commands,

    DISM/Online/Remove - Package PackageNameackage_for_KB2919355 ~ 31bf3856ad364e35 ~ amd64 ~ ~ 6.3.1.14

    and then

    DISM / online/cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

So now, the update of KB2919355 has been installed. Only one problem: like the first time I had the installed, Windows Update leave commissioning. As the HP splash screen that normally appears during the startup process appears after about 3 seconds, Windows displays an error Stop, and for a fraction of a second will display SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED error, which as I read, is related to the graphics drivers. The thing is, after the cancellation of the update (the computer in Mode safe start put Windows automatically uninstall the update and everything goes well after), then go in and uninstall the graphics driver, restart, reinstall the graphics driver and reboot again, and then reinstall the KB2919355 update, the problem recurs. I also tried to download and to install the new update of firmware for my particular DESIRE machine which was released a few days ago, but which has not helped either.

I'm really stuck. I looked up and down, and I scoured Internet for anything that might help. I need to update KB2919355 be installed because without it, I can't book my free upgrade of Windows 10. This laptop is about 2 years and a half old now, so it fulfills all the prerequisites for Windows 10.

Please do not suggest that I do a Refresh of the system or a system reset, as I have no way to back up my programs, that which some I would not be able to reinstall because I have more drives for some of my programs. Also, I can lose to save him for some of my games.

When people ask me "What's up?", I always say 'the CAP '.

So that seems to have solved the problem that is described in this post here. I followed the suggestion, which was to uninstall the driver, SPDT DuplexSecure (which has something to do with the SCSI devices, I'm not quite sure) using the SPDTinst (download here) and now it seems that Windows has started without crashing after installing the update KB2919355. I'll check my Windows Update history and see if it is there.

Low and behold, a year to be really behind value is ultimately more. I have successfully obtained the update of KB2919355 works on my computer.

  • Windows does not start after you use vaio recovery

I tried to reset my computer to factory settings and programs. I used the for Vaio recovery tool do. During the course of my computer restarted as it should. But as Windows was returning back I get an error of "Windows Boot Manager" say a file called ntoskrnl.exe was missing or corrupt with status 0xc00000e9 upstairs he provided a way to fix: cannot start Windows. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause for the problem:

    1. Insert your windows installation DVD and restart.

    2. choose the language settings, click Next

    3. click on repair your computer

After step 3, the repair tool said that it could not solve my problem.

I tried to redo the recovery twice for nothing doesn't.

I tried to use the memory diagnostics.

I tried to change the default BIOS settings.

I tried to use the chkdsk command in the console installation disc

    I don't have a backup disk.

You could try System Restore option under the recovery tool if startup repair option has not resolved the problem. After the execution of the Image recovery system on your VAIO computer and you still have the same issue, then you may need the recovery disc. If you have any errors after the diagnostic equipment, then the recovery partition was damaged already.  You can buy the recovery disc for your computer of Sony parts and accessories or parts distributor authorized Sony.

    Windows xp home edition

    Dell inspiron 1501

    1. computer does not start after the Windows XP logo window
2 works well in safe mode, even connect to the external monitor
    3. I reinstalled xp many times, problem stil exist.

    All the answers?

    Hi dhanushm,

    1. What happens after the Windows logo screen?
    2. You receive an error message?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?
    4. Have you performed an installation clean Windows XP and even after that this problem exists?

    Method 1

As the computer starts up fine in safe mode there is a possibility that some third-party programs installed on the computer is the origin of the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.
