Failed to create task scheduler to restart the system automatically within the given interval
Dear experts,
I have two accounts on my computer. One was a Director and another was normal user. but the two users are protected by Word.
When I log in as normal user, how can I set a task in the Scheduler to restart the computer once every 6 hours.
Thank you
KP Swamy
Hello PK Swamy.
Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum.
The Task Scheduler service lets you perform tasks on a chosen computer automated. With this service, you can program any program to run at a convenient time for you, or when a specific event occurs. Task Scheduler monitors the time criteria or the event that you choose and execute the task when these criteria are met.
I understand that you are not able to create the Task Scheduler to restart the system. Please, I beg you, don't worry I'll try my best to resolve the issue.
I suggest you try the following steps to create the Task Scheduler:
1. click on start, type taskschd.msc in the start search box and press enter (it will launch the Task Scheduler).
Note: If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation and click Ok.
2 left click in the right pane on the Task Scheduler Library > open Action in main menu > new folder > name MyTasks > click Ok.
3. left-click on the MyTasks > menu, choose Action > create a basic task (it open Assistant tasks).
4. you can enter the name , for example "restart" and click on Next.
5. in the trigger section, you can specify when you want to run your task, for example:
a. Select daily and the press Next.
b. now you can specify the day, time and all reproduce on a daily basis, after the press Next.
6. in the Action section, you can choose what you want to run, for example, restart your system to do this:
a. choose start a program and press on Next.
b. in the field program/script , type shutdown /r and click on Next.
7. click on end.

Event Viewer/Task Scheduler error message
I get the error message "MMC could not create the snap" in Task Scheduler and Event Viewer. I tried various things, including a reinstallation of the .NET Framework, and nothing seems to solve the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?
michiganjoe,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum. The first thing I would try is to run the System File Checker to see if any system files got corrupted:
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
Right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
At the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:
sfc/scannow
When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved. If this does not work, we need a little more information, the better to help you. What version of Vista are you using? When exactly this error happen? Is that what you see in the event viewer, or you get the error when you try to open the event viewer and Task Scheduler?
Have changes made to your computer recently, as new hardware or installed software or an update / upgrade to software or drivers? Have you tried to do a system restore to before the problem came first?
To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:
Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
Click Finish.
The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.Let us know the status of your problem and if we can also provide assistance.
Thank youGloria

When I run the Task Scheduler which exactly follows the error message appears in a popup window: ' task32498346 task: the task image is damaged or has been tampered with. " None of the "solutions" I read on internet activity for me. Very detailed solution from Microsoft Support does work for me because the first step is to go to Task Scheduler Library and find the folder in which the corrupted task is in. I carefully searched the whole library, and there is certainly no 'task32498346' in the Task Scheduler Library. I'm not aware of all this causes me problems. Everything seems to work OK. I came just to have stumbled on this because I was curious how the Scheduler works. I looked in Services and Task Scheduler started. Despite do not cause me problems, I know, I want to get rid of this popup error message. Can someone help me, please?
(Moved to repair and recovery)
Yes. The Earth is round. Does this have to do with my question?
-> OK, I'll specify it in detail. You must search for the folder C:\Windows\System32\Tasks of the existence of the file that generates the error message, i.e. task32498346. The file may be hidden.

The task Schefuler stop working.

failed to create task or type scp
I use scp in my build.xml. However, I get following errors. I have download jsch - 0.1.44.jar.
Where would it take this pot?
------------------------------------------------------------------
Problem: could not create task or type scp
Cause: Could not load a dependent class com/jcraft/jsch/UserInfo
It is not enough to have option of Ant jars
you need the JAR files that depend on the optional tasks.
Optional task of Ant dependencies are listed in the manual.
Action: Determine what additional JAR files are needed and place them in one of:
-D:\Jdev11120\Middleware\jdeveloper\ant\lib
-C:\Users\Administrator\.ant\lib
-a directory added on the command line with the argument of the - lib
Do not panic, this is a common problem.
The most common cause is a missing JAR.
It is not a bug; It's a configuration problemWell, just read the output reveals
D:\Jdev11120\Middleware\jdeveloper\ant\lib

I have a backup script (Robocopy) that looks like this:

Echo «Copy of the files on Server1...» »

/SECFIXs C:\Users\Apps E:\LIVE/e R:1 /W:1/v/FP ROBOCOPY/MIR/secThe batch file works fine when I double click on it, but when it is run as a scheduled task, the result is: 0 x 2 with an event ID 102 and exploit code (2), and apparently the backup is not successful.
