Failed to load xpcom
Do you have a system restore, but found ehn I can't open Firefox or Thunderbird. Both get this same error message
Hi, please reinstall firefox and thunderbird. It is a common error after you perform a windows system restore because it restores some mozilla files necessary for the proper functioning of an earlier version, but not all of them!

When I started this morning at the computer and clicked on the icon of Firefox, I received the message "unable to load XPCOM. What can I do to fix this?
Hi, this problem can often be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you delete your Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. This process does not delete your Firefox profile (such as bookmarks and passwords) data, since this information is stored in a different location.
To do a clean reinstall of Firefox, follow these steps: Note: you can print these steps or consult them in another browser.
- Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
- Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu
Click the close button
).
- Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
- Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
- Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
- Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
- Windows:
- Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
- Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
- Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.
More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.
WARNING: Do not use an uninstaller to third parties as part of this process. This could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. They can be retrieved easily unless they have been backed up on an external device! See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.
Please report to say if this helped you!
Thank you.

I uninstalled Firefox on my computer, then I reinstalled and tried to run, but this message appeared, "failed to load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible"and Firefox does not open.
I tried press windows key + R on my computer and open %appdata%\Mozilla\ - and rename the folder labeled "Firefox", but he said that "the action cannot be complete because the folder or the file that is open in another program" I didn't open it and try to restart the pc, but still no help
A likely cause is a problem with the file profiles.ini and the profile marked as the default value = 1 in this file is no longer present on the hard drive.
- Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\. - Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.
You can use one of them to make the Creation/use of a new default profile for Firefox:
- Remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
- Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
- Use "Choose a folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile
- Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\

JavaScript blocked or failed to load
Hello
Some time ago I suddenly realized that JavaScript was not working in my Firefox. I get a very explicit stack overflow error message:"Stack overflow requires external JavaScript from another domain, which is blocked or failed to load."
Many other sites Web will not work.
I am currently running Windows 7 and on typing 'java-version', I get the following result:
Java version "1.7.0_40".
Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_40 - b43)
Java for 64-bit Server VM (build 24, 0 - b56, mixed mode)I know that Java is installed and working as I can compile and run the NetBeans .java files.
I'm in trouble I have spent hours to solve this problem, but he resolved No. I am very hopeful of a solution here.
Thank you
COR - el I experimented and installed Firefox 25 Beta 3 and JavaScript all work correctly.

Error. Could ' t Load XPCOM. Can't Uninstal from Windows C/P
(a) running Mozilla Fireforx 23.0.1.4974 on a Dell laptop Studio XPS 1640 with the 64-bit of Windows Vista. I had to do a restore of the system back and since then my Mozilla Firefox is not running. I get the following:
Part 1. "Error. Could not load XPCOM. Tried the solutions of this forum to UNINSTALL before you perform a new installation of the latest version.
Part 2. In the Windows Vista Control Panel, Uninstal does not at all. Just a blank nothing.
Before deleting the content & directory: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox, I noticed another directory C:\Program Files (x 86) \Firefox (99) that was created when I did a reset a few weeks ago. There is a folder on my desktop called 'Old data Firefox' which I assume icon contains my favorites, add-ins etc reset, I did it on August 18, 2013.
Part 3. I tried the suggested search for %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ so that I could find, backup on a USB and a restoration after a new installation, but it returns no results. Is there an actual path I can use to locate these data? I want to retain my lastest bookmarks, modules etc. for installation of the latest charges.
This web site is automated responses that are useless if Firefox will not open and run. I need of human intervention and human know-how. I am writing this issue with this terrible Internet Explorer.Main profile folder:
- C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
Location of the cache folder (topic: cache):
- C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\LocalMozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
The "Application Data" in XP/Win2K folder and the folder "AppData" in Windows Vista, Windows 7 and later versions are hidden folders.
