Failure of PayPal for monthly subscription

I am told that my payment failed and update my details. PayPal is the only option that appears - I update my details but the message is always the same there is a problem with my payment. In my paypal account, all payments Cross and this payment was presented and approved for Adobe but not picked up. I tried contacting cat online help, but it wasn't a waste of time and 20 minutes of my life I will never come back. What can I do?
