Failure of the policy of support for laptop

This error message appeared inconsistent. The dialog box header has been TOSHIBA POWER MANAGEMENT. Toshiba technical support gave me the following resolution:
1. go in Control Panel and remove Toshiba Console and Toshiba Power Management Utility programs
2 reset
3. go to http://support.toshiba.com and click on download.
4. Select your model and click download again.
5. reinstall the two programs
6 reboot

My computer was fine for two reboots since doing so reinstall it. I think it MIGHT have been related to McAfee, as this happened IMMEDIATELY after the update my DAT file.

Another option is to use the Windows XP restore option. We who does not well done.

See you soon!

I bought a presario cq43-412tu. all the operating system supports this laptop. ?

    Hello

Do you not need to run all the operating systems on the machine? With the help of VMware or similar is the way to go, but with this card, you don't have much choice, you must upgrade first to 8 GB of RAM. It comes with FreeDOS, you need at least a host operating system in order to run the virtual machine.  At this point, Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate is the starting point.

    Good luck.

    Hi all

I get this error when when looking for Windows newsletters (Patching-> Windows-> news-> news-> control upgrade). Looking at the Task Manager, I see "error: failure of the verification of signatures for: message XML Update SQL.

I use the latest version vCM 5.8.2. I found another post here on this subject, which mentioned that the KB 2050220 fixed the problem, but it does not work for me .

You have any other ideas I could try? Where would the real logs that could help me understand what the problem?

Well, what it fixed.  Looked in the debugging information, and indeed it was related to the KB 2050220:

It comes with a 1 year limited warranty, which means that it can contact HP for support at any time by email, chat or phone.  It has a warranty on the material that covers defects of the factory and the failures of natural material, but it does not cover accidental damage.   At any time during the warranty period, you can upgrade the warranty to cover accidental damage or extend for several years by calling 1-800-474-6836.

  • Windows 8,10 not supported for laptop L501X

    Hello

I bought the laptop L501X with Wind 7. Consulted the DELL support center to upgrade the system to windows 10 and right way the comment came was that the system will not apply to Windows 10.

When the world is going for 10 windows updated. Allows Dell customers L501X stay exceeded in all areas down.

Can I know where there is the customer support here for the L501X.and what we need to do here to sit with windows 7 or featured in other systems

Reference DELL want to let sit us L501X users as people featuring computers of old age. Waiting for the valid response from DELL

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, the L501X fully supports Windows 8.1 that I ran this on because it was released a long time ago.  If you mean that Dell doesn't provide no specific drivers or support, well why should I can attest that even Microsoft don't perfectly know what are the features they implement an operating system until it was released to manufacturing. Personally, the only Dell updates that I really took the time with are BIOS related as all drivers are usually better served with the hardware manufacturer those Realtek/Nvidia/Intel, etc.

  • CRAVING for laptop - 15-k201tx: download HP Hotkey to URGE support for laptop - 15-k201tx

    HII,

Where can I download the "Hotkey" to WANT software for laptop - 15-k201tx?

I already ordered the computer, and it will be delivered over the next 48 hours.

I have download all the drivers and save them to a disk exernal hard.

My current laptop (probook) will not allow me to use the shortcuts 'fn' at least I have the software 'Hotkey '.

I guess that's also the case of jealousy?

But if I go to the page "Download drivers", it does not show me the possibility to download "Hotkey Support".

    Where can I go?

PS: I know hotkeys will work right out of the box, and if I recover using the recovery partition.

I always want to keep a version ALL the drivers in a backup location - in general, I don't use the option 'Recover' for recovery, I reinstall from scratch using my own DVD of Windows and not having a key driver will be a major setback.

    Hello

If the key Action is enabled in the BIOS, you don't have to press the fn key in combination with the shortcut key F to activate or deactivate the appropriate key feature in consumption like logs.

If you need fn + f key to work instead of one F key, disable the Action key

There is no separate driver for it.

  • Changes in prices for the contracts of Support for Cisco IDS/IPS

    Nice day

My boss asked me if there is no value added regarding Cisco's recent move to charge separately for hardware and software support for IDS/IPS product line.

Other than what is obvious (need software support for updates of signature, need of material support in case something breaks), I'm having a hard time to provide a response.

Can anyone suggest what is the increased value, other than annual recurrent costs more we get as a result of this change of license?

Also, was there any release press or other notice to the client about this change?

    I am at a loss...

    Alex Arndt

    Alex,

Cut through the spin and the hype... the software support allows us to finance a development team dedicated to signature, which has improved our signature rejection rates and response times. In addition, it is allowing us to expand our coverage to keep IDS 4.1 to get the support of the signature. It is contrary to our previous policy which would have seen 4.1 updates to signature cut shortly after 5.0 released.

A side effect of this is that our development team is now free to focus on the development of the feature, and you will see more updates, more often.

Can't comment on press releases and others, they make your head spin my ;)

  • When and what can expect to happen to my computer after the end of support for windows XP?

    What is Pageheap?

The answer to your direct question, when you think that say you, is a Google search away.

-It is not supported to Microsoft for an operating system you probably have to worry.

It is your own ability to stay static, I want a computer faster, better equipment, a new printer, scanner, camera, etc.

The manufacturer of the software or hardware that you use every day will probably abandon Windows XP well before the April 2014 date when Microsoft stops by releasing the same critical patches for Windows XP.

Their new printers will have only Windows Vista drivers, maybe just Windows 7.

Their new scanners, cameras, etc. will be the same.

I don't see the major software companies (AutoDesk, Apple, Adobe, etc.) continues to produce products that would work on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 and what comes next in 2014.

Everyone always loves to find a single entity to blame for their reluctance to change with technology - but usually it's just the changing world overall - not a single instance of it.

Having said that - there are many people who still use Windows 98 twelve down on the line.

They can't see certain things on certain web pages, cannot use certain devices, they might be able to pick up at their local drug/warehouse, even store and using the latest versions of major software packages are probably a lost - cause but they do very well in their microcosm.

So - it mainly depends on you and your ability to do not change.

In light of your previous question, this web page may be one that is useful to you:

  • Integrate the end of Support for Win 7 and 8

While beating around the Internet for some answers, I saw three sites that say your support for current versions of Windows ended January 13 [Download Day]. I missed something?

    Hello

Standard support is now complete for Windows 7. However, Microsoft will continue to publish updates of security for her until January 14, 2020. This means that there will be no settings/news.

Integrate support for Windows 8 has not yet completed.

    Thank you

  • I will be able to reinstall my windows if necessary after the end of support for Windows 7?

    Original title: windows supports

Last year, I bought Windows7 Home Premium and it works well so far. My question is after January 2020 (after the end of support) I will be able to reinstall my windows if neede? Also if there is no microsoft activation problem help me right here? Also even if the support of the application ends with its suppliers I will be able to download mse, it's to say & essentials of windows from the microsoft Web site myself since the automatic update is not available? or I'll be forced to buy Windows 8, 9, 10 or 11 at this time? Sorry people I know that this issue is too early and not be worried right now but I love windows 7 and I want to run for life so is this possible? Thanks in advance.

    1. Yes, you will be able to reinstall Win7 using the disks provided with your computer, the rescue disks, you have created and/or the hidden restore partition.

    2. where support for Win7 purposes, take in charge ends (for example, activation problems).

    3. There will come a time where the current version of Windows (Live) Essentials is not supported in Win7 - even if your currently installed version of Windows Essentials may continue to be supported for some time.

    4. by the time for purposes of Win7 support, chances are THAT MSE is no longer supported.

    5. No, you don't will be not "forced to buy" a new version of Windows (assuming that Microsoft is still for sale).

  • Screen rotation is the X 30 support for external displays?

Yes... I know the X 30 is old school...

but I use it for my presentation machine and it works well... and... If he was hit or swept, office

    I wouldn't feel so bad...

In any case, I have the latest driver installed on my X 30 XP Professional Intel

Video chipset is 82830M and I have the video bios 2691

There is no tab in the properties panel video for "rotation" of the monitor,

and nothing in the bios of the machine that controls this feature as I can see,

so I guess the screen rotation is not supported on the X 30,

but thought I would ask in case Miss me something obvious!

    Thank you!

    Hi jwooden,

It is not natively supported, but this will work.  It is not free, but there is a 30 day free trial and the alignment of trackpoint will be on the side.

I used to have a 30 x, son of my girlfriend now has.  He always uses it for school. I've always loved.
