False alarms license ISE

Hello

I have a 3315 ISE with a base 250 and 250 advanced licenses. I received regular alarms (every two hours) indicating the following...

"Concurrent user base exceed the authorized number of licenses.

However, the number of active device is 202 and was never above 206. The advance is currently 57...

Service facilities license file license expires the time counter updating endpoints

Base Package                                                                    250                                         202/250

I can't delete messages either.

Thank you very much

Dave

This is due to a defect.

CSCtw73946    ISE Invalid License application alarm

Symptom:

With correct basic and Advanced license already installed correctly - ISE generates alerts;

"Concurrent user base exceed the authorized number of licenses.

"Advanced concurrent users / endpoints exceed the authorized number of licenses.

Conditions:

This isn't affecting services.

Workaround solution:

None

  • False alarms

    Running the trial of vFoglight and very impressed so far.
    However, we are still getting false alarms such as:

    • Machine virtual xxx has recently been turned off. This rule detects a VM is turned off or paused.
    • Logical drive C:\ on machine virtual xxx was 5.81% available and full of 94.19%. This rule is triggered when the use of the disk reaches less than 5% of the full.

    Even if we recognize and disable the alarm, it reappears. In the latter case we offer more space, so the alarm is not applicable.

    Any ideas how to fix?

    Hello infra1234,
    Question #1 it is a groovy script that will fix it if there is no virtual machines for which you get alarms
    Rule question #2 pulled the alarm can be twisted, but would need to take a look at your environment
    My suggestion would be to open a support case.

  • False alarm: the compiler bug?

    This happens with CVI 2010 SP1.

    Compiling this code, I get "WARNING: Conversion from '__int64' to 'long' could lose data... ' on the 'z = y' line.

    Please note this line does not have any variable __int64.

    More strange: if I comment any line of the "case", the warning disappears: the warning when are present four or more instructions "box.

    However, the generated code works perfectly, to a quick test.

    #define A 0x00000000
    #define B 0x00000001
    #define C 0x00000002
    #define D 0x00000003

    #define MASK 0x00000003

    void CompilerBug()
    {
    __int64 x=0;

    int y,z;

        switch(x & MASK) {
            case A: y=0; break;
            case B: y=1; break;
            case C: y=2; break;
            case D: y=3; break;
        }
        z = y;
    }

    I will be happy if someone can confirm this behavior.

    Thank you

    At first glance, the warning seems to be false. The conversion from __int64 to long don't actually takes place. Instead, case expressions are converted long __int64. The behavior of the switch statement seems correct and therefore the warning can be ignored.

    We have not yet investigated the cause of this error, but you can follow the matter with bug ID 363456. In the meantime, it would be more prudent to ensure that your switch expression and case expressions are of the same type where we have not fully defined errors.

  • False alarm

    I have a rule created the CPU usage %. Occasionally, I'll get a 'Normal' message and the figures will show the % CPU: 92.77. This is not normal and would generally fall within the critical range. I don't get the critical messages however. I don't always get these false emails. most of the time I am alerted with the right message. I have my behavior to "Action of fire if 20 consecutive assessments are met". Has anyone seen this kind of behavior? I'm curious to know how to fix this.

    Thank you

    The behaior you describe (report of the normal state on the last assessment which is guard/criticism/fatal) is not the way it is suppsed to behave, my recommendatino is trying to open a support case and see if can get to the bottom of this.

    It is true that most (if not all) rules do not have action on the back to normal because that will generate a large number of notifications to the administrator mailbox on things that are not usable.

  • KOOBFACE IS FALSE ALARM OF IT?

    I WAS WORKING ON A NEW LAPTOP OS X YOSEMITE WHEN BELLS AND WHISTLES EXPLODED, THE WINDOW POPS UP SAYING THAT I HAD BEEN HACKED AND CALL APPLE AT # GIVEN. IT DIDN'T SOUND RIGHT, BUT ULTIMATELY, I CALLED. AFTER I LET HIM SHARE THE SCREEN "" RESCUE", HE FOUND MALWARE CALLED KOOBFACE AND STARTED A DOWNLOAD THAT WOULD OPEN IMMEDIATELY. BUT THEN HE WANTED MONEY $199 FOR A YEAR'S WARRANTY, OR $399 FOR PERMANENT WARRANTY.

    HE HAD STRONG ACCENT AND I COULD HEAR IN THE BACKGROUND. I DON'T HIM DID NOT TRUST AND WAS AFRAID BECAUSE HE WAS IN MY COMPUTER DUE TO 'RESCUE '... IS MORE, THINK IT WAS APPLE, SO I JUST SHUT DOWN THE COMPUTER AND CHANGED MY PASSWORDS ON ANOTHER LAPTOP, THE ONE I USE NOW.

    IT WAS LEGITIMATE AND I MESSED UP? OR WAS IT A SCAM AND A PERSON REALLY ME HACKED AND CAN ACCESS EVERYTHING ON ALL MY COMPUTERS, INCLUDING THIS ONE AND A DESKTOP COMPUTER?

  • False alarm critical of Apple - scam or virus?

    A couple of days, while browsingthem web (English version of the German company important and trustworthy), I received a popup alert indicating «Safari alert, your iPad is locked for your protection on 0808 148 3688 Apple support call»

    I had my son get number of Apple on his mobile and realized, he had nothing to do with the above number. As the IPad has been frozen, I made a forced following the stop which made a soft reset not reset the Wi - Fi connection but do not wipe all personal data and after that pop up to disappeared. My camera is a non supported Gen. 1 iPad iOS 5.1.1. My question is how can I tell if my iPad has a virus or is it safe to use?  Also, I guess due to being not supported its my Apple call pointless? All advice appreciated - other that tell me to buy an IPad update that unfortunately I can't afford (that's a first use since the problem occurred)

    This popup will always be a scam. See below.

  • False alarm "system safety at risk".

    My wife has just started to download a update of Flash Player for his MBP and stopped when she realized that they wanted to change a lot of settings, such as the browser by default, etc..  She received a message asking if she didn't know she wanted to leave the page as well as a scary message (see screen capture below).

    I called the number in the message and it did not Support Mac.  I recognized the voice as being a man with a foreign accent, telling me that I have a serious malfunction in my computer it will help to set. It sounded like a very long call remote.  I realized that it is a scam and that he hung up.

    All this experience?  I had to call my phone at home several times telling me that they were aware of a computer problem and that they would like to help me solve it.  They need access to my computer to do.  Of course, that don't give them not only access.  I get the these calls one or two times a month.

    If someone else gets one of these messages.  Ignore it.   Or, call Apple and ask them to check it out.  But it's not Apple.

    Yes, this is a known scam. I hope that you do not allow access to any information on your Mac. Ignore it or report it to http://www.apple.com/feedback/

  • false alarm real downside

    I use this copy of Windows 7 since early 2010 and it is considered authentic.
    However, these last two days I get these annoying pop-ups that partially block the system.
    http://www.Flickr.com/photos/10736018@N05/8557638131/sizes/l/in/photostream/
    By clicking on the link seems to fix the problem, but it's annoying. I tried to do a full scan of my system with Malwarebytes and AVG Free.

    Any ideas why it keeps popping up? If you look at all the windows image, you can see indications that It IS Windows genuine. One is a window open Firefox where I was taken after reactivation, and the other comes from right click on "computer" and get properties (called the control panel system in Windows 95 - XP, do not know if this term has changed). \

    The only thing I can think is that I worked with someone using Vista and the original startup Vista Home Premium OS of the computer quite a bit lately to help. Could WGA that detect the same computer and IP address uses two different versions of Windows in quick succession? Why this treatment? Dual booting is not so rare a decade ago, when the people wanted 98/XP dual-boot.

    It seems to have fixed itself after that I installed another batch of updates. I just did this earlier in the week, and on Friday, it was invited with more.

    I didn't this view since Thursday night, although I got it several times between Tuesday and Friday.

  • Cisco ISE - alarm expired license demo

    Hello

    We are implementing Cisco ISE 1.2.0.899 and report alarm license expires. This alarm refers to the demo of Advanced license and is therefore a false positive.

    This issue is that we cannot delete the demo travel and stop the root cause of this false positive alert.

    Anyone have an idea?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

  • Device failover ISE licenses

    I'm working on obtaining of license terms for ISE put in place for the next budget.

    I am confused about licenses for a unit of failover. Do we need to do another set of licenses for the unit of failover, or for the primary device licences will cover the failover?

    Hello

    Before ISE Release 1.2, clients may specify only the ISE licenses to be registered to a single node of the Administration of ISE (i.e., the main node of the Administration). Now, ISE Release 1.2 offers the possibility of recording licenses ISE to two nodes of Directors (i.e., the primary and secondary nodes of the Administration). The registration of licensed ISE on the head node of Administration required rest, but the option to save a secondary node of administration is available.

  • BB10 dev alpha - stuck in Configuration - does not load the license agreement (r2320)

    I successfully upgraded Dev Alpha A 10.0.09.2320 with automatic charger.

    Device, rebooted, installed new drivers, etc etc, all the other things worked well, BUT

    The device is unable to complete the installation, because it gets stuck on the license agreement page.

    I am connected to wifi. The wifi works. It's worked before. It won't let me even to select a country, it shows an error that the network does not, repels me a page, and I have to disconnect / reconnect to wifi before it allows me to 'sweep left to continue' again.

    Any suggestions?

    I managed to make it work by (sigh) with the help of roaming data connection (after restart). Now it is stuck on the screen of a software update. He has rightly "Software Update" and nothing else on the screen. The Act of working is the Emergency call.

    Update: after another reboot, after you turn off roaming data once again, it gave me an option to start or turn off the phone, but it says something about "blackberry infrastructure? Does this mean that it will work only with BlackBerry Internet Service in the future?

    Edit: so bad, yet another restart that he lets me actually left-scan-ignore the update of the screen without anything do. Sorry for the false alarm, I'll leave it here for anyone to find.

  • Cisco Ise 1.3 with Flex to connect wireless supported function

    Hello

    My environment is formed ROUND of flex-mode connection wireless and cisco Ise 1.3, these features are supported?
    Basic functions of the AAA
    profiling
    posturing
    Substitution VLAN
    Substitution of the ACL
    Comments commissioning

    TrustSec 2.0 this MDC is not supported? someone try this feature?

    These all work with ISE 1.3 and FlexConnect WLAN.

    You need the right license ISE - the type of mobility (wireless) license will cover everything. If you have wired and wireless, then you must have basic (for most features) + more (for profiling) + Apex (for Posturing).

  • Preferred infrastructure: alarm on the port down

    Hi all

    Given that we have improved our PI to 2.0.0.0.294 version last week, we receive several alarms a day regarding the port on wlc.

    Here is an example:

    Virtual domain: DOMAIN-ROOT

    PI has detected a change in one or more alarms category controller and critical severity.

    The new severity of the following is clear:

    1. message: "3" Port is down on the device "x.X.X.X". -Controller name: XXXXXXXXXX

    (3 times)

    2. message: Port '4' 'x.X.X.X' device is idle. -Controller name: XXXXXXXXXX

    (3 times)

    3. message: Port '5' is down on the device "x.X.X.X". -Controller name: XXXXXXXXXX

    (3 times)

    4. message: Port '6' appliance 'x.X.X.X' is inactive. -Controller name: XXXXXXXXXX

    (3 times)

    5. message: Port '6' appliance "y.y.y.y" is inactive. -Controller name: YYYYYYY

    (3 times)

    E-mail will be deleted up to 30 minutes for these changes.

    I checked all the mentioned ports and they are not in use and not physically connected. I put "admin status" of these ports as 'disable' and 'link trap' like disable too, but we continue to receive these alerts.

    Do you know if this is a bug related to PI v2? or what I can do to remove these false alarms?

    Thank you!

    I saw these on NCS too... and I still see it on 2.0 FT I have running.

    Thank you
