  I'm not on the same OS, but don't you have an option to preview in Firefox/Beta. You will need to disable the plugins PDF first.

  If you are able to see on the web pdf files ok I see no reason why it won't work on local files as long as you have the permissions to access the involved file path.

  .Mdb and .ldb file extensions are used by the Microsoft Access database program. .mdb is a .ldb file is a lock file. You may be able to consult the data base with Access runtime, downloadable here:

  You will need to remove the password from the file (using Acrobat, not reader) before you can convert it to Word. To do this, choose file > properties, and then click the Security tab choose no security in the context menu of the security method and enter the password when you are prompted.

  View | Current view. Show all Messages is verified? If this is the case, then you have to do.
   
   
  Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

  Recovery methods:
   
  If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.
   
  To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.
   
  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
   
  In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.
   
  Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.
   
  Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.
   
  First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.
   
  If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.
   
  If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.
   
  If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

  A general warning to help avoid this in the future:
   
  Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.
   
  Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages.   On my old computer (XP), I used app fast backup protection to back up my files to an external drive, Iomega hosted Media Network Hard (2 TB).  I have a new Dell PC with Windows 7 (64 bit) OS.  With the help of a cable I copied all the files from my XP to Windows 7 computer.  All the files on the external hard drive, copied to a "network".  I am able to view all the folders of the Iomega file, but I can't back up my files to protect fast has not been improved to work w/Win 7.  Quick protect is divided into 6 different discs (photo-U, V-ActiveFolders, W-Music, X-backups, Public-Y, Z-movies), Iomega recommends using backup Windows and restore.  "Before you start this process, I would like to know if Windows Backup and Restore will copy a new set of files and adding to what is there in the folder backup previous Player X or if it will start a"new"backup" folder on drive X.

  You have discovered a problem with Windows 7. To resolve this problem, I recommend a program called FileMenu Tools. You can download the portable freeware from here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-SOFTWARE/System/System-Enhancements/FileMenu-Tools-Portable.shtml .

  After having downloaded and installed the program, you will notice that, by default, each option is checked. I would be much more selective on this subject, otherwise your context menu will be a full page long! When the main window opens, you will see a list on the right side of all the elements that can be added to the context menu. Start weeding through the list and every one to take away, you don't need the United Nationsby checking the box.

  Once you have completed your selection (de-selections) make sure that you click the green check mark in the row of icons at the top of the left window of the interface to 'Apply' of your choice. The program can do much more, but that answers your specific question. I am told that the program has a good help file, so try here if you are interested.

  Use the ALT key on the keyboard if you can't see the menu bar, then

  • View-> toolbars-> and select'Navigation bar tools "(and the Bar Menu)

  It seems that Ubuntu has supported the installation of Windows. At this point, I would recommend youto contact support Ubuntu uninstall Ubuntu. This should return Windows XP & you can access your files.

  You cannot add folders to the Mail App. I suggest you to install an e-mail client. I use Thunderbird myself.
