  I have a requirement where I have to change the sign of the amount when you import the data to the PIF file, I am aware of the sign flip in maps where can pass the sign based on the story. The requirement that I got is a little different.

  I was given 40 pairs of accounts and Custom3 members and I will have to change the sign for these 40 pairs.

  For example:

  1 account - Cover_Premiums and Custom3: gross

  2 share of reinsurance matters – Cover_Claims and Custom3-

  If the data file is to have the above pairs the amount of those who should not change.

  I wrote a script to import and attached to the dimension of amount in the import format. The script is

  The script ran end after that recording works fine when the file is imported and its reversal, the sign for the records, but the problem is his flipping the sign for all records in the data file.

  I guess that it is run if statement only until the len (strfield) > 0 and its performance not the rest of the condition in the condition statement. IE: account = Cover_Premiums and Custom3 = gross weight.

  I'm not an expert FDM and not even sure if this is the right approach to do it or not.

  It is a requirement that is very critical for me, please help me with this problem.

  In a script to import, you have two input parameters:

  -strfield: value of the column of the source file that is defined in the import format. In case you, amount field

  -strRecord: all of the data in row processing.

  If we need to check the account and 3 Custom fields, you will first get these values for the strRecord parameter.

  In any case, I would say that you optimize your code by concatenating account and Custom3.

  For example, if you have a delimited by ';' with 5 fields file where the account is in 1st position and Custom 3 in the 2nd:

  I'm doing a sign flip using the rule of load. I know it's possible to do this but we must define a UDA. Is it possible to do it on my data field without using the UDA? Thank you.

  If you want to return the entire file, you can use the scale factor for the data column and it set to-1. You can also set the file to subtract from existing values, but I prefer the first way

• Single Sign-On sequence 5.1 to 5.5 upgrade (multisite mode and bound)

  I have trying to find SSO upgrade documentation that describes the options I have to choose for the following upgrade scenario:

  Before the upgrade to 5.5:

  • 2 x 5.1 vCentre servers (Windows 2K8R2) along with related modes.
  • Each vCentre has its own local SSO server that runs on the same server vCentre. Both have the same deployment ID.

  My understanding of what the upgrade for authentication UNIQUE and related modes cannot function after update 5.5 should go as follows (obviously related modes has been removed before the upgrade):

  1. On the first SSO server. Switch from 5.1 to 5.5 using the MULTISITE option. (Web Client follow-up, inventory Service & Server vCentre).
  2. On the 2nd Server SSO. Switch from 5.1 to 5.5 using the MULTISITE option. (Web Client follow-up, inventory Service & Server vCentre).

  The problem is the first SSO server when I select MULTISITE option on the next page, I get the details of the host partner and password I was do one of the following errors:

  1. Could not get the server certificate, or
  2. Unable to get the host name

  And cannot proceed with the upgrade. The only option that works is the AUTONOMOUS vCENTRE SSO SERVER option which I think related modes don't work after upgrade.

  Any help pointing me to a document that stresses the good options if bound mode is preserved after upgrade would be great.

  I'm trying to convert dynamic hierarchy of measures hierarchy stored (account) to take advantage of the aggregation of the aso. This hierarchy has + and - bindings so I'll be converting all to + and assigning the UDA as FlipSign to load the data with - ve value in good standing of the load.

  NET installs no. (value = 2)

  -> No. install reconnects (value = 5)

  -> No. install disconnects (value = 7)

  You have until the tag all members you want sign flip, then create an extra dimension of 'View '.  It will contain only one stored, 'Enter' or 'Data' as it does not affect the size of your cube.  Then, you add a dynamic member with an MDX formula to return the sign of marked members.  Reorganize the dimension so that the 'flip sign' display the Member is the default if the user makes no selection, that is to say that the "sign flip" Member rolls up to the top.

  You add a very small overhead of MDX, but it should be useful if you can do your accounts any dimension of a stored hierarchy.

  1 OK for FDM to connect to essbase, essbase client API is used. One of the files is esbapin.dll (that you can find in the folder bin of essbase).

• Problem with logic groups combining data at the point of importation

  I really hope that you will be able to help me with a problem I've had for the last few days.
  
  The scenario I have requires a logical group be created as the source data must be mapped differently if its + ve or - ve even thought the source account is the same.
  
  I created a logical group complex and added the corresponding logical group account in the account mapping table. The group uses the definition of rule 001806 *.
  
  The accounts that would be affected by this rule are below the values:
  18060000 - 2093096.69
  18060000 2093096.69
  18060005 - 2474955.48
  18060005 2474955.48
  18060015 11319512.13
  18060015-8000000 (a PEAK partner)
  18060015 - 3319512.13 (a PEAK partner)
  
  The + ve values need to go to an asset account and the values of ve - to a liability account.
  
  At the stage of import, I have a zero value which seem to be the sum of the values of the first 4, substantive values 3 then appear on individual lines.
  
  Step validate the asset HFM account displays the 3 + values of ve (15.8 M) Although 2 of them apparently wide net to zero with the values of the first and the third - ve. However, the liability account shows the background raising 2 (11. 3 m) as its missing the other 2 values - ve. Assets and liabilities HFM values should be the same

  You could even put in place two mapping rules and avoid the complexity of a logic rule, if you wish. The mapping will continue to the next line if it does not meet the criterion, and there is no result.

  Side assets would be with a name of rule vAsset (you can change this, but it must be unique to the next line)
  If varValues (9) > 0 then result = "BSA401000."

  and then you add a second line to your card with a name of vLiab rule and check the sign flip.

  In the past I have avoided the rules of logic to the extent possible, by adding removes the ability to drill holes in the source file.

• Leading zero is dropped after mapping

  Hello. In collaboration with FDMEE 11.1.2.3.700. File comes with several zeros for the dimension account. Have a script Jython to keep only the last six digits and that works very well. Some of the accounts have always properly leading zeros, such as 070000 and 041205, and I can see in the source account column in workbench. The accounts are then mapped, either by mapping explicit to manage sign flips or * to * for passthrough. Accounts that are explicitly mapped come more correctly: 070000 corresponds to the 070000. But accounts with zeros through map passthrough are declining the zero no significant: 041205 traverse * to * but as 41205.

  Thoughts? Don't think that we have had this problem before patching to 700.

• Question on several similar mappings

  All,

  I'm having a hard time to do the following to work, and I wonder if my thinking is completely wrong.

  I have a field with the accounting codes / descriptions.

  for example

  The source account

  12345 - sales

  In order to load to Essbase, I need to remove the description. I couldn't find a way to do it in FDMEE natively, so I wrote a #SQL Script in the map AS

  for example

  SUBSTR (Account, 1, 5)

  It gives me what I need (12345 in this case).

  However, I must also sign flip all account that begins with a 4, so I added another as the mapping:

  Source, target, SignFlip set to True

  4 *, *, check for sign Flip

  No matter how to order those, I can't do any account with a 4 to switch the two mappings. I can get the description of undress, OR I can reverse the sign, but I need to do both.

  FDMEE cannot handle a mapping by column for each record? Is it still possible? If no, what are the other alternatives it via SQL or Jython?

• SignFlip in a rule of data loading?

  I have a load data which regulates and in 'Settings to load data' on the 'values of load data"tab under the section"Flip sign"dimension"basic"is defined under the 'Dimension '.    Reference dimension is a flat dimension with 6 members who are all nonaggregate.  There is no UDA or anything on the members.  I am familiar with sign Flip on UDA, but may not know what means the way in which it is defined, or how it would be.   I can't test as I am locked out of system during the migration, but want to learn something that I have never used this feature.

  It should be ignoring it because the UDA is not defined. If you wanted to toflip sing it all Member States, while you could put-1 into the Member of scaling factor. It basically multiplies values of this amount

• Essbase support rule - automatically settle some negative accounts

  We have a little problem here. Load us a file into Essbase (v11), this file contains several accounts. For this example we will say - costs and revenues.
  
  Both revenue and costs are in the same file and have positive values. When they enter into essbase, costs are expected to have negative while income should be left as positive. How could I manage it in the same rule of load?
  
  One idea was for me to do 2 loading rules. We reject the costs and expenses income only. The other rejects the revenue and charges fees and scale-0.0, the figure becomes negative.
  
  So basically, if there is a way in which we achieve the same rule to load instead of creating a new one, it would be great.

  With the help of FDM v11.1.2.1, when you create a new mapping via the web interface of the sequence column doesn't appear as an option by default when you change accounts mapping. Is it possible to activate this column as when the mapping is extracted in Excel it does not appear as an option.

  You will need to check the option Seq map on the screen of metadata location to allow the use of the mapping of the sequence for each location, so that it is necessary.

  Any help with this would be really appreciated. I know that FDM interpret tracking by Dr. as positive numbers and those followed CT as negative, but it does not distinguish if this figure relates to an expense (account of natural flow) or income (natural credit) account... I need FDM to interpret natural credit account type (receipts) as its flow as a negative and a positive still. For natural flow (expense accounts), I need the balances to be always positive and the credit balance to be always negative.
  
  How can we achieve this MDF? is there a built-in feature or do we add script? Ideally I need to do during the mapping phase and not the import... THX!

  You can reverse the sign of the accounting in the FDM account mapping, there is a ceckbox that select you / deselect in each line of the mapping. This is how to enforce the good signange for accounts.
