  I think you have already answered that question yourself...

  As you wrote that you can get all the drivers on the Toshiba site and if it isn t a newer driver available you can nothing more I think. Satellite A300 isn t a laptop of game performance so I think that the display drivers are not so important.

  The only way to obtain a more recent version, it's looking on external Web sites. Maybe you can get the desktop pilot working had some changes I put t know but really attention! Other drivers don't have protection against overheating and you could destroy the graphics chip. Be very careful of what you do.

  Alternatively, you can search on the Toshiba site for other models of laptops with ATI card too. Maybe, you can get a newer version

  The button of keyboard layout doesn't depends on Satellite Pro or series of satellites, but of the country where the phone was purchased.

  Different countries need different keyboards button and that's why the buttons are assigned to different positions on the keyboard.

  But the keyboard itself could be used in Sat Pro or Satellite phone too.

• Slow Satellite Pro A300-1NT

  Then my ordered device an A300-1nt and a Dell e4300 for two members of our staff who arrived yesterday. Our IT Department managed the purchase and he restored to XP for us and all of our institutional and all software on board.

  The a300 is really, really slow - made a few Win updates this morning and restarted; Let it install and then I rebooted again. From the moment I clicked on the restart at the same time the login screen popped up was 1'57 "and then an additional 2'53" to get to a stable and responsive bureau. " It took 54 seconds after logging in to play the login/startup sound XP. I have a Celeron 5 year, office of 2.4 GHz with only 1 GB of ram which is faster to boot, and who only had a cache of 256 KB L2 as opposed to the 3 MB of cache L2 the p8400 in the A300, and 4 GB of ram in the A300.

  I have now disabled the autostart webcam as well as start-up automatic online product information and shaved only about 6 seconds, start on another reboot time.

  Dell, on the other hand, is like a rocket. It's a different chip (sp9400), different chipset, DDR3 ram, but only 2 GB of ram and fsb on these two tracks is 1066 so I would have thought they would be comparable, but clearly not.

  I wonder at this point so maybe our IT guy made a hash of the downgrade XP at some point or if the computer may be damaged somewhere or if the a300 is generally a slow machine - anyone have any ideas?

  I have the Satellite A300-1LI pre-installed with Windows XP Home Service Pack 3 (original recovery image Toshiba) and I'm happy with it. The performance is good.

  Hello! I know the questions with Satellite Pros do not wake up from hibernation, and I read the answers, which recommend an update of the BIOS and OS.

  My BIOS is the latest version, but the OS is XP and should stay that way - I bought the laptop, which could to downgrade (for business reasons).

  Since my computer laptop does not wake up from hibernation, I thought I would disable hibernation completely I don't need (I use the PC at home 99% of the time). I disabled hibernates from the Power Options in the control panel and also in the Toshiba Utilities, and the service is confirmed to be disabled in the BIOS when I check using F2 at startup.

  My problem is that the PC will still hibernate after an hour or two of being in standby mode, and then it won't wake up unless I reboot. Let me explain better: I'm home, I stop to work for lunch and before going to lunch, I put the PC to sleep. If I come back an hour later, he went into hibernation in its own right, despite the hibernation is disabled.

  Hi, I'm an island here can someone help me solve this problem without sending it to the workshop of maintenance if possible.

  I've just updated tempro informed me a bios update. I ran the update, but it froze completely the system (Vista). I waited 15 minutes to show no sign of life (flashing lights or unlocking system) and then I turned it off thinking the thing crashed. Now, it won't turn.

  Is there a way to fix this? As it is turned on, it checks the cd player, can be resolved by updating the bios from a cd? Or a flash key?
