  Why? Most likely because the PDF Viewer on the Tablet is too stupid to deal with show/hide functionality.

  You could try PDF Expert of Readdle on qpdf Notes Pro on Android and iOS devices.

  Depending on how the show/hide was created during the export of InDesign, it can work in viewers. Otherwise, you will need to open PDF files in Acrobat and edit features show/hide something more digests of PDF device viewers.

  BTW, you will encounter the same issues with the PDF display components in web browsers.

  Accommodation with Business Catalyst and feature Secure area are probably the easiest. But easier I don't mean easy. There will be a steep learning curve to learn how Business Catalyst works first.

  Unfortunately at this time Muse isn't really the tool to do what you need.

  There are some features of the table that has Adobe FrameMaker, and I'll try to find equivalent features in InDesign. I hope someone can help me to locate these features or providing workarounds:

  1. FrameMaker can include a paragraph of title of the Table in the table style. Is this possible in InDesign?
  2. FrameMaker has a variable "Table continued" that can be inserted into a table or the table header row title. This is useful for long tables to divide from one page to another. Is it available in InDesign?
  3. As part of a style of painting in FrameMaker, you can specify settings for lines widows and orphans. For example, if you want at least 2 rows to be kept together, you can be part of the table style. Is this possible in InDesign?
  4. FrameMaker has a command to resize the columns that resizes the column to the width of the text in the cells. In InDesign, I find myself laboriously resize each column separately until the text fits in the column. Is there such a resize to width of text command in InDesign?

  FOR INFO. There are two changes to the test for a version update (2014.1.1). It is not related to this topic. (There is a problem in a specific update scenario.) The second is a bug that broke some effects (drop shadow, bevel and light, scrolls don't not effects) on placed images. (Background images are not affected). According to the effect and the specific properties of the image, to which the effect is applied, the effect may or may not appear in Design view or on the final site. I will review your site for exactly how and where the effects are used, but given your reference to the use of effects of brightness, I felt I should make you aware that this bug can affect the behavior of your site.

  There is no Parallax feature in Indesign, and in recent weeks the Parallax of muse is not very tactile friendly, so even import in indesign give you mixed results.

  You can get pretty easily parallax with edge animate and there are a number of demo from around you show how.

  I'm starting to think I made a huge mistake by installing El Capitan. I have Adobe Creative suit (CS5) and so far no problems with PhotoShop, but certain features of InDesign have been sterilized. The most frustrating is that path doesn't work at all, who dedicated a project that I'm trying. Then I was told by Adobe CS5 is totally not taken in charge by the OS 10.11.1. Large. Does anyone know if any version of the Creative Suite IS supported? Please don't tell me that I need to "rent" from Adobe. An owner of their programs is sufficient.

  CS2015 is the only version "supported", but I had my hands full with it.

  Creative Suite is no longer supported by Adobe before OS 10.11 and they ended up support in his favor in total. Keep in mind Apple makes it very clear in the OS X EULA (if you read) that if OS X install causes a software package to stop work that is your problem, not them.

  Here's how you can try with CS5 in order, try one step and test, if it fails, go to the next:

• InDesign - Datamerge jumps and restocking data

  Hello world. I'm having a little trouble with a feature of InDesign that I have a lot of experience with, and I would appreciate a second pair of eyes to spot possibly something ridiculously simple that I'm missing.

  I have a lot of experience with DataMerge, and a particular model that has been used several dozen times in the last six months has suddenly been acting wonky. It seems to ignore the 11 first lines or so of the .csv file, repeat the following line, 10 times, continue with the next few lines, and then repeat the same line to before another time of 40 or more.

  There are no columns/rows in the CSV file. And just to be safe, I've recreated the three file several times, even copy/paste data in a workbook of fees. No dice. And I can confirm that I use the CSV file each time.

  Under datamerge options, it is set to 'All files' and 'Delete lines for empty fields empty' is nothing is done. Oddly, the cliché of recording Multiple Preview throws everything correctly. Like the fact the single record view. But as soon as I actually merge, he stumbles over himself.

  In an effort to be as complete as possible, here are the screenshots of the step by step along the way:

  I tried the same model with the other CSV files and line breaks, but not the same. In addition, it does the same thing on two different computers.

  Am I missing something obvious here? Or is it really broken? This is a barebones model I could recreate in my sleep, but I fear that there is something that I don't know that I do it of messing things up.

  For several versions now, it was a bug in merge data into InDesign that has the potential to trash the model if you are using the preview configuration of multiple records. As far as I know, this has not yet been set.

  Try to rebuild your model and it comes out without preview.

  I want to use a book file to combine several smaller files (let's call them "chapters").

  Each of my chapters has a number of objects (cmd - D).

  I said who placed objects remain outside the main .indd file and allow re-binder if one of these files is updated or replaced.

  I use the package tool menu to combine all the fonts placed objects and .indd (and PDF) file in one folder.

  I want to know how to use the objects placed in the chapters that are contained in a book file, and how to package everything when I'm done.

  Where each of the files belong (in which folder); and how they are organized when I pack them?

  How to make a copy of all of the compressed file, to start working on a new iteration [review] the entire book?

  I watched the tutorials and read what I can find.

  • So you place graphics and text files in an InDesign doc (we'll call it aCHAPTERc) and use the features of InDesign to arrange a nice layout.
  • Repeat this process for each chapter.
  • Collect all of the chapters in a book for the paging file, generate a Table of contents, may be a clue.

  Now what? If you want to print, you can export the book to PDF and send it out for professional printing. Or you can package the book (use the menu of the control panel in the upper right of the book panel) and collect everything you need for printing through InDesign in a single project file, as well as folders nested for fonts and graphics. The zip file and send it out for professional printing.

  These days, providing a high-resolution PDF is more common. So, why use the package? Let's say you're not particularly organized. (I am and always start with a project folder and subfolders and put everything that relates to this project in these folders.) But let's say you're not. You can still use the package afterwards, just to collect and copy all of the assets of the project in a new folder (assets include book and chapter files, fonts, graphics and .idml file and a .pdf print quality). Zip, archive and you are ready, when someone says: "Hey, can I get a copy of this article moved you 10 years ago? What is happening to me more that you would think!
