File deleted in Hotmail (web Outlook)

I deleted a folder with important things in him going back to last year. I thought that by going to deleted items so I can retrieve these. To my horror it brought back a few emails (not folders) in the last three months alone. As I have my filter on exclusive it was a lot of junk. Is it possible to recover a FOLDER. The instructions on this site all the referred to as returning to the prior proceedings and since I access my hotmail anywhere account is not significant. I don't know why she didn't give me a warning that I would lose content - dropbox allows you to recover deleted files, etc.

Please note that my account is one that I connect to via the browser NOT outlook that I for example on my place of work on my PC.

I tried to use multiple search terms (the folder was called Health matters)

Unless you do the back up Microsoft recommended your registration to the e-mail address, the data are gone because, like you, the online servers are not backed up

Try renaming the file cert8.db in the Firefox profile folder in cert8.db.old or remove the cert8.db file to remove the intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored.

If it helped to solve the problem, then you can delete the renamed file cert8.db.old.

Otherwise you can rename (or copy) the file cert8.db.old to cert8.db to restore previous intermediary certificates.

Firefox automatically records the intermediate certificates when you visit Web sites that send such a certificate.

If that didn't help then remove or rename secmod.db (secmod.db.old) as well.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Deleted emails are not going in the file 'delete '.

I have Windows 98 and you use Outlook Express for e-mail.  In the last days, I find that when 'remove' email, thinking it will in the file 'delete' - he's not here.  Only those e-mails I delete without opening (spam or readings) go to the file to delete.  Where are the others, and how can we fix this problem?

First: discover | Current view. Make sure Show all Messages is enabled.

Remembering that Win98 has not been supported over the years, you may just have a little corruption of dbx file.

Move the messages you want to record off deleted items and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

Compact all folders as described below.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

  • I can't delete my email in outlook express 6.

This problem started a month ago, but he has only done a few emails. Then I downloaded Norton from comcast and my box of deleted messages had emptied himself and now I can't transfer all items in the deleted box.

    Hi Mike,.

The "Deleted" file is probably corrupted. You will need to get rid of him and to force OE to generate a new.

    Here's how:

    1. from Outlook Express, click Tools > Options > Maintenance and click on the button 'storage folder '.

    2. copy this location. Highlight it and press Ctrl-c.

    3. close Outlook Express.

    4. Click Start, run, paste and click OK.

    5. This will open Windows Explorer in this directory

    6. you will see a. DBX file for each of your Outlook Express files. Delete the file "Deleted Items.dbx"

    7. open Outlook Express and create a new.

    See you soon ~!

  • I can't delete messages on my outlook express system... should I download a new system?

My express system outlook does not delete messages, so I am faced with a large generation to the top of messages, spam etc, do I have to download another system?

Your deleted items folder is corrupted.  Delete the file deleted items.dbx (hidden) with OE closed and OE will create a new uncorrupted.

  • My computer will not delete emails in my Outlook Express, how to fix this?

    I hope you can help!

You have corruption of dbx files.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and move the messages you want to record off deleted items, and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

Compact all folders as described below.

To avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

I lost/deleted a folder in outlook express and do not know how to get it back, I have a lequipetv.fr email accounrt if it's important. I have windows vista ultimate 2007 service pack 2

Look in the list of folders and make sure that the folder is not listed under the deleted items folder (you can move it if it is).  If you simply delete a file, this is what usually happens.

If it is not listed under the deleted items folder, you can also check the message store (Tools |) Options | Maintenance | Folder for the storage location) to see if the file is still there as a dbx file (hidden).  Also check him Recycle Bin and the message save a file bak with the name of the folder since it is a backup which you can restore (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2).

Finally, if it is really gone and there is no dbx or bak file, then my DBXpress program (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/) has an excerpt from disc feature that will scan the hard drive for messages and if they are still on the disk, it will recover them.

What is the file deleted the files in the main folder, and can / should I remove it? Is it too much room, I could use?

This file stores a list of files from previous version of Firefox that are no longer needed or supported in the current version of Firefox. This file is only a few KB and it is best not to delete files in the Firefox program folder to avoid update problems. If the required files are missing or modified with a update Firefox will download the full version (approximately 10 MB) instead of a small incremental update which is usually only a few hundred KB.
