file extension best universal to use film?

Can you please indicate which movie file format would be preferable to reach the widest audience? We had a mp4, but seems more old Windows editions do not support playback of this 'new' format? (if I'm not mistaken)

MOV would be limited because it would force people to Windows to download Quicktime, correct? So, what should be? In this case is WMV - the best choice? Most of our users are Windows / PC base.

Please advise, thank you!

Probably a MPEG2 file, with the extension .mpg, would be the most universal and still offer appropriate quality options.

Photos modified in Photoshop then saved, PhotoShop or Mac doesn't give the photo a file extension, and these files can not reopened.

I use a mac with PhotoShop CC and have experienced a problem during the recording of pictures once I've retouched in Photoshop. If I open a RAW or DNG file in camera RAW, or a TIF or JPG created in Lightroom in Photo and then change the file, everything looks OK. When I came to save the RAW as a TIF or JPG, or a TIF or JPG saved previously, or DNG PhotoShop or Mac file does not give a picture of a file extension.

These files cannot be reopened by myself in PhotoShop to be re-edited or opened by someone, I send the photos to use them or for them to print. Also, when I try to load these pictures on a website they are not recognized and rejected. Adobe Bridge recognizes the file in the format that I saved and saved in the metadata window file format, but does not show a file extension.

So far to solve the problem I had to export the file with the < file > < Export > function, otherwise I do not use PhotoShop like my photo editor. Export gives the file saved a file extension.

I use a Pro-impression who explained I had sent her one of these files without file extension and it is not able to open, edit, print, or save the file. My printer also explained that he experienced this problem on several other occasions.

Can Adobe indicate what changes you made and how to overcome this problem please?

  • What is the best way to use files recovery

I work in FM 11 and broke FM a few times. What is the best way to use the recovery files and save them as normal files? So should I filter a window of the Explorer to "recovery" so FM don't ask me if I want to use the older recovery files? Thanks for your help.

    > What is a wash of the MIF?

    1. Save all the files of FM component .mif as MIF format.
Save the .book as. book.MIF in the MIF format.
    2. Output FM.
      Restart FM.
    3. Open .mifs. Save as FM, replacing the old (FM probably saved files).
    4. Open the. book.MIF, re - register under .book.
Note: do not open the. first book.MIF and then try to open the component files, or open the files binary pre - MIF.

FM11 and 12 can have a free add-on as much as the fact in a single operation.

Washing MIF creates new .book files and FM have syntactically correct data structures (and that may have lack of bad content). They are less likely to crash, but can still have problems.

  • File extensions do not created when saving images for the web, using the slice, Photoshop CS4-slice tool

    Working with slices in Photoshop

When I save slices through "Except for web devices", in PS, the resulting images are file extensions but appear to be image files.  I can open in Windows Gallery Viewer and see them however, they have no icon other than a blank page icon, not the usual png or jpg types.

To solve this problem I added manually .png and .jpg those pristine images through their file names. It seems to work very well for the resolution of jpg files.  In addition, when registering via 'Save for web devices' slices I chose manually imput to the second field and following: PNG or jpg.  This results in the names of files with .jpg but not .png [both png12 and png24]

    When you save slices:

    1. choose the file type

    2 save

    3. internal record Panel: choose:

    (a) image only

    (b) Selected slices [or user slices - as seem to have similar results]

    (c) in the settings: other:

    (i) disable: copy the background image and create the image folder

(II) for the file nameing use: slice of name and in the second field, add the file extension: jpg or png.

    PNG FILES

I seem to have problems to import any .png file, created from slices via 'Save for web devices' method, in PS and Fireworks.  However, I do not seem to be able to import them into Illustrator and Indd.

I want to do is to be able to create slices PNG and JPG files and follow the method "Save via web devices" without having to become an expert in all the options in the Save Panel.  And then be able to import it into Fireworks or in PS.

Is there something in the preferences that needs to address, or there at - it a bug of sumfink?

To solve the problem of file extention:

    1. When you save file slots in the Panel 'Save for web devices' and 'Save' Panel appears. Then, you click on 'other' in the settings and do appear the file naming options panel.  Make sure you keep ".ext" in the substantive area of naming options.

Yes, that's the error.  Now file for .png extensions are created and therefore work OK in Fireworks and Psalm

  • I use CF disks and Smart Media/xd 3 cameras when you import images into Lightroom. Get weird file extensions. Appreciate the advice.

At a recent wedding, I used 3 different cameras and 2 types of media cards. A type is a standard CF 2 GB and the other is a 2 GB Smart Media/xo.  They imported with file extensions such as 001 - 3.jpg, 002 - 4.jpg, some files are named correctly, 003, 006.  That this has something to do with the help of different cameras.  How prevent you getting the or - 1-2 after a number of digital file. I'm sure there's an easy answer and I do not have something good, but it drives me crazy.

There are already files with the name you are trying to write to the disk, so Lightroom trying to do the right thing to stop overwriting of files and adds a number to the file, so it has a different name.

Be more aware of your image sequence that import you will help prevent it.

  • The Document Type ' ' will not be added because it uses a file extension that is already associated with a prior Document Type.

I deleted the MMDocumentTypes.xml file in the folder Adobe Dreamweaver CC-> Configuration-> DocumentTypes 2014 and put it on the desktop. Also, I moved the Extensions.txt file similarly. After a reboot, I get the same error message. I uninstalled all one by one in all the places I could find extension (Extension Manager of Adobe Extension Manager/DMXzone /https://creative.adobe.com/my_addons), and I uninstalled and re-installed Dreamweaver... I always get this message. Please, tell me how I can get rid of this error message. It drives me crazy!

    Hi Ken,

Thanks for your reply. All this happened because of DMXzone LESS CSS/LESS of COMPILER products. When I got CC2014 a few weeks ago, I went on a rampage download all extensions from the 'cool' app I could find like most new users CC. It was a big mistake. Half of them does not load properly, or they get errors. Download from the page "Add-ons" at your own risk. After you change the file extensions.txt and MMDocumentTypes.xml get rid of the original LESS definitions and redefine their, it is loaded without error, but the icons in the 'Create New' from the Welcome screen section disappeared. I deleted completely Dreamweaver again and this time I have included all the preferences. After a clean install with no preference files or extensions, I got working properly. I must say synchronization of cloud of Dreamweaver in CC saved a ton of time because he had my site definitions waiting for me. Stay out of the DMXzone, if you do not want to be in the area of damage control. =)

    Hi Oniebeme,

    • Exactly when you receive the above errors?

    Step 1

You can run the checker system files (SFC Scan) on your computer and check if it helps you to fix the aid and support question. System File Checker analyzes all immediately protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions. This command may require access to the Windows installation source files. Follow the steps below to scan SFC on your computer.

    one.

Click Start and run, type sfc/scannow, and then click OK.

    b.

Once the scan is complete, restart the computer.
Note You will need the Microsoft Windows installation CD if the scanning utility cannot find the necessary system files.

Access the link below to learn more about Scan SFC.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310747

    Step 2

If scan running SFC does not help, you can create a new user account and check if it works fine without error on the user account. If the new user profile on the computer works fine, copy data from the user of the old account to the new.

You can access the link below and follow the steps in the article to create a new user account and copy the data to the new account.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/811151

    Step 3

This behavior can also occur if the computer is infected with the Virus. I would recommend torun a virus online scan.

Access the link below and check if your computer is infected with the virus and delete the same.

    http://safety.live.com

If the steps above do not help, you may need to contact the Champagne and Dell technical support if you can get a Windows XP installation disc.

    Link to connect Dell support:http://support.dell.com/support/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs

Hope this helps and let us know the result.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • problems .crd of opening the file extension under Vista 64-bit,

I have .crd files created by the cardfile program that was on older versions of Windows. Cardfile program does not work on Vista 64 bit. I need a way to open files in a usable format.

    Hello Moesch,

Thanks for posting on the Community Forums of Microsoft Vista.

You must associate the *. CRD Extension with the CardFile application. In Vista, by default, the extension of the CRD is associated with CardSapce.

    To change the file association:
    1. click on start and type CMD
    2. in the list right click on CMD and click "Run as Administrator".
    3. use the following commands to * change * the file association.
    a. type SCS .crd = CardFile31, and then press on enter
    b. Type ftype = C:\Windows\CARDFILE CardFile31. EXE %1 and press enter
    4. double-click the Cardfile.CRD file. It should open in the map file.

    It will be useful.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • Do I need a program like file Cure by parento LOGIC will correct all types of file extensions? This program is a scam or works? Is there something better?

Is DriverCure by parento LOGIC a scam? It work? This program addresses all types of file extensions? Or is there a better program I could use?

Is DriverCure by parento LOGIC a scam? It work? This program addresses all types of file extensions? Or is there a better program I could use?

If you have mutiple file extensions that have been changed, you were probably victim of some malicious programs and your best choice of action (as malware rarely comes without friends and other riders) is a complete wipe and the new installation of the tracking updates and restoring your file system and personally connected since the last known good backup applications you did.

  • DVD Maker changes every time that the file extensions?

Original title: dvd & movie maker whats up with these different files?

I download my video and saves it to a WMV file... then I edit in movie maker and he recorded as wmv, but at other times like a MSWMM file... then I try to publish it in movie maker and it records in a file wmv or sometimes msdvd... why he spends it saves and how this affects the burn process?... it will say 1 file could not be found many times... How can I get these two working smoothly? I have a 32 bit vista

    Hello

When you have finished working on a project, you can publish the project as a film. A film is a Windows Media file with a .wmv file name extension or file Audio-Video Interleaved (AVI) with an .avi file name extension.

Project Windows Movie Maker has an .mswmm file extension. For example, myProject.mswmm and the film has a .wmv or .avi file extension. For example Mymovie.WMV or Mymovie.avi.

Changes made to the file extension depending on the actions that you perform in Windows Movie Maker. Change file extensions should not affect the burning process unless the creation of DVD does not support the file format. If the file is not found, it means that the file type is not supported by DVD Maker.

  • How do I file extension .eml code loaded as an extension of acceptable files?

How can I get the file extension .eml code loaded as an acceptable code in my Windows 7 Premium program? When I receive an e-mail with the extension on an attachment, I get an error message that it must be assigned in the program of Defaule section. However, it does not appear as available or as a restriction either. I can still read the attachment when you view it in the box to webmail servers letters, but not when I download it in my file of e-mail Internet Elplorer.

Well, I come home and tried. Defines indexing but does not define program association. .eml is a file extension is listed on my system, so I can guide you through the process. If the .eml is not in your list of extensions, and then there is another problem that needs to be developed. Anyway, definition of the name on the associated program extension:

    (1) open sign
    2) click programs
    (3) in default programs select "make a file type always open in a specific program" (if this isn't one of the options, and then click default programs and then "associate a file type or Protocol with a program" it's the same thing, just labels. The actual label for where you will be different in any case of name changes doesn't really count.)
    4) scroll down until you find .eml and select
    5) click on the "Program Change" button and select the e-mail program you use.

It is, apparently, normally an Outlook Express file extension but will open with the other e-mail clients as well. My client is Outlook 2010 and it is the overall program. If you use Microsoft Outlook, which is probably the best choice. If you do not have an email client can download Windows Live Mail. It should open up very well to this customer.

  • Playback of multiple files with different file extensions

    Hi all

Is there a way where we can read multiple files with different file extensions using file adapter?

    < property name = value=".*\.csv"IncludeFiles"/ >

Can include us a few models more file in the property above? Please let me know

    Yes you can. .

But here, the thing you need to do is all these files must have the same format (XSD)

You can dynamically pass the name of the file to invoke the activity of the file that is the property of jca.file.filename

The value given when you set up the adapter will be written by this value. .

    Hope this will help you

If this is not the case, let me know. .

    Thank you & best regards

  • How can I tell Lightroom what types of files (extensions) I want to be able to import?

I had copied a. PNG file in the source folder and I wanted to import in the Lightroom Catalog.

However the import dialog box does not show this file in the source folder at all.

I also tried the method to select the source folder and using the option "synchronize". But who has not shown the. Either the PNG file.

My clumsy work around was to open the file in CS6 and save it as a. JPG file.

So my question: How can I tell Lightroom what types of files (extensions) I want to be able to import?

You can't tell Lightroom what file types to import in the import dialog box. You could, if you wanted to, check that the boxes of file types to be imported, but it is a "manual" operation, it cannot be automated.

In regards to the PNG files, Lightroom will NOT import them. The PNG files are not supported by Lightroom. In fact, Lightroom will import TIF, JPG, PSD, DNG and some RAW and film formats. Any other type of file cannot be imported into LR.
