Firefox_RASAPI32.log increase in daily file (C:\Windows\tracing\firefox_RASAPI32. (LOG). It is now 697 MB. How can I stop this?

Sudden increase in size of alert file < SID > .log

Yes, you can... you can even delete the alert.ora file that has the database open: Oracle will recreate it just the next you will need to write to it.

Time-stamped comments adding in a DDHN file during logging

I'm trying to find the best way to add comments in a DDHN file during logging. I know that the fragmentation occurs when the properties are written for TDMS logging. Should I write comments in the level in the logging file (maybe a case of Structure fires when a new comment occurs) or is there another way to incorporate comments into a DDHN file during logging that I'm missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Nathan, do you really care about fragmentation? If this isn't the case, you could do it just like that. If you really care fragmantation, you could write Time-Stamped comments in a separate file, PDM, or any, Time-Stamped cache and write cached put comments in the PDM file after cutting.

If the newspapers of cleaning did not help them (which I expect to). You can run in a known defect, this problem occurs because as the access_log does not turn properly after we reach the limit of size.

To increase the size of redologfiles online, you will need to drop and create them again. But you can't drop current/active group, you can drop the Group inactive and unused. To provide what you need by using alter system switch logfile; change checkpoint system; for example

I don't understand exactly how errors in the two newspapers are related, but my opinion is that, if I can solve my CheckSUR.log errors, CBS.log errors will disappear to, and then I might even be able to install SP1.

For what is interesting, what I ended up doing to solve my problems was to re - install Vista with the 'upgrade' option, so I don't lose any of my files or desktop settings...

After that, I had a few problems with my OS reinstalled with several (80 +) updates, SP1 and SP2 from catching up. But overall these problems were minor compared to it, that I lived just to fix some missing files.

system continue to write to 'windows.edb' and the file 'MSstmp.log '.

I use Windows 7. The system who writes on hard disk, and through resource monitor, I see that the disk activity is mainly caused by the Service of Index and files that have been written is 'Windows.edb' and 'MSStmp.log' or 'MSS.log', at the speed average 3 MB/s.

I went in Indexing Options and choose only very few directories, but the system keeps still write to these files above after a few weeks!

I have deployed a database of test and I was exploring some aspects regarding the selection of the optimal size of recovery for performance logs by using the view v$ instance_recovery optimal_logfile_size.
