File import .mov first + addition of subtitles to complete (HELP)

I'm new to this forum.  Hello to all and I checked some similar topics and nothing has really been answered or helped me in cause I'm having.

Here's the deal:

I have a final edited documentary that was recently completed in iMovie and exported in format .mov.

However, I had to add subtitles.  I went to some "file upload" sites and added manually in each of the subtitles for the film, and I have two 2 legend different files both .srt and. Sub.

What I have to do now is somehow upload the .mov file in Adobe Premiere and somehow add in these subtitles.

Cliffs/Questions:

1. can I upload a .mov file in Adobe Premiere?

2 adobe Premiere accepts subtitles .srt and .sub files?

3 can complete you a project in Adobe Premiere with the menu of the DVD?  Or do I somehow do DVD Studio Pro, or is Adobe After Effects don't?

I'm working on an iMac OS X Version 10.6.8

Hello

Here are some statements, see if they help you:

MOV files that were encoded incorporated in to import it into the BODY. In addition, if QuickTime sees the captioning, then agency will decode closed captioning.

Body fit legends CEA - 608 closed to MOV.

Agency will not import SRT or SUB sidecar legend files.

Organization will be important sidecars CSC, MCC, STL and XML - as well as embedded MXF and MOV files.

Here is a link to the use of captioning in body - people have found it to be informative and answer many questions around the workflow of subtitling:

Does anyone know why can't import video MXF files from the Canon XC10 to first Pro CS6?  I searched for a process / workflow that does not include having to use an mxf converter.  I looked at a number of different suggestions on the web.  I read the following article http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/products/premiere/cs6/pdfs/adobe-premiere-pro-cs 6-canon-workflow - guide.pdf which indicates it should not be a problem with the import mxf to the first pro cs6.  I also used the Canon XF Utility - once again unfortunately, I still got the message "the importer reported a generic error.  Other Adobe applications, faced with this format include Prelude and Media Encoder.

I'm on Windows 10.  I hope that someone in the community will have technical knowledge to help.  Or maybe even staff Adobe might be able to offer suggestions.  Thank you.

  • Problem importing adobe first project in After effects CS6

I have worked in first of Adobe and sequelae for quite a few years now and this problem is new to me.

I work on a project After Effects CS6 and want to import a project first pro in After Effects. I'll-> file-> import-> adobe first project

    Select the project

    Select the sequence

Now After Effects CS6 matter all files of the project first before pro in CS5, but now also matter at all in the form of sequences at the root in my Control Panel project and messes everything. Before she was generally nice and tidy with the same structure of records as the first pro project would have.

But this isn't the main problem. When I opened the sequence on what to import and to work, some clips have been shortened up to 1 FRAME LONG at the end. These clips have a speed of 500% in first pro, but this has never been a problem before, after effects has ever before been able to translate changes in speed in first-> sequelae clips.

Adobe creative that was imported is a promo of 60 s with various clips in different formats (Gopro h264, dv pal quicktime etc.). Images not exceeding not the amount just sequelae must manage. videfiles 15-20-30 seconds each.

I've never had this problem before with first <>- aftermath.

    Anyone?

    I found the solution!

In my first adobe project that I tried to import, some of the clips have been "right click" and apply "scale to the size of the image.

Each video clip that had "adapt to the size of the image' in my sequence first pro from adobe would incorporate as its own composition in After Effects, rather than just a videofile and some of the clips could be cut down to be invisible.

So if you have a problem with a clip import does not correctly in a sequence of after-effects, check that "adapt to the size of the image" is not applied to the clip in first pro.

I removed the scale to the size of the image in the project to create and everything is now fine in sequels.

    Sorry for the post.

    I recommend using

Square 5 - MPEG Streamclip video converter for Mac and Windows

  • Unable to import file .mp4 in first - "Unsupported format or file damaged."

    Hi all

I have the video from a surveillance camera system I am trying to import into first. The program is iVMS-4200 by Hikvision. I download files to my desktop fine .mp4 and they initially only played in VLC... until I have download a plugin on the site of Hikvision and now he plays as well in Windows Media Player. I thought that plugin would be favourable import in first, too, but he did not.

First says "Unsupported format or corrupted file" and will not import the video file.

Encoder says "FILE name could not be imported. The source file appears to be corrupt. Check that it is a valid file. »

I am able to convert the file with a third-party program and import it, but if I could skip this step and import the straight line of files for the first that would save me hours and hours of conversion time.

    haben

Looking at the specs of your camera (SJCam 4000), we already know what video compression your camera uses. It is H.264.

A H.264.mov file should be accompanied by a first elements 11. On what computer operating system is your first items 11 running?

You have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer? And, you use QuickTime and first of 11 elements of a

Account user with administrative privileges? Please go to Premiere elements 11 publish + share/computer/QuickTime to confirm that you will find

presets it to the choice of QuickTime, it.

What are the properties of these files H.264.mov - is it 1080 p (1920 x 1080 p 30) 30 or something else? Do you know if this device is registering with a variable or

    a constant rate?

Please check and review and then we'll decide what next.

    Thank you.

  • Will not import MOV. WAV. file format, says unsupported file format

My Premiere Pro will not import any of my files, AFAIK. one day it was working fine, the other just to stop. These are the same file formats, I've used it before and worked fine. When I try to import MOV. the files that I turned on my Canon Rebel it tells me the file format is not supported. I have the codec for the format and imported this format before. As far as I know he does this with all file formats. Im a bit stuck.

    OK last resort:

Restart the computer, while opening the first press alt + shift.

If who disobeys, I think re - install is the next step (including using cleaning tool).

  • Import MXF file in the first

    Hello

I use a canon XF100 and first pro CS5 on a Mac Pro.

I would like to know the best workflow, so I can get pictures from the camera, at first, so I can start editing.

    My attempts so far:

1 import the MXF file directly in the first

Result: When a visitor the clip on the timeline, the audio only appears

2 using the XCam transfer to import images and convert to .mov

Result: The audio and video appear on the time line, but the audio is shorter than the video skips and jumps

Your advice and patience is greatly appreciated.

Canon mxf files import is not broken in 2015.

Copy the entire hard disk map and place the folder CONTENT in a folder of its own video for example.

Then import it via Media Browser.

Or use the XF utility to export mxf files so unique.

  • Cannot import mov files in AE.

This problem appeared from time to time. It causes several things that I can't do in my After Effect, but I really have no idea how I can solve this problem.

Problem 1: wait long to open the AE, it hangs on the core of media initialization and takes about 10-15 minutes to get through.

Problem 2: impossible to import the mov files and if I import the mov to the AE project, this pop-up comes

"After effects error: file 'file name.mov' cannot be imported - this 'MooV file is damaged or not supported". ".

Problem 3: cannot display the model as mov. and just this pop up global warming

"After Effects: one of the output modules could not be imported." It has been reset to use the default setting for the selected file format. »

I read a few threads, and I knew this could cause communication blocked between AE and QT. But I check my QT, it's version 7.6.6 and I have installed firewall software, communication is therefore correct (I guess, since I can play normally mov file and not the home warm message that "QuickTime is not installed on this system...) »).

Another thread said may because of the tripartite component in the QT library. This may seem reasonable, cause I install certain converters to convert before wmv and avi formats.

I had the same problem, and so far, this solution worked for me. (touch wood)

Try to set your default player for QuickTime .mov files.  (Mine has been set to Windows Media Player)

    • Right-click on one of the mov files that you encounter a problem at the opening in AE.
    • Select 'Open with' and select 'choose program by default... "downstairs.
    • Select Quick Time. (Make sure the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is checked).
    • Restart your computer.
    • Open AE and see if it works.
  • How can I get a clip of a short vob file in movie maker

A few years ago, I converted a few cassettes vhs on dvd. One disc has a rare tv clip I want to put on youtube but when I put that particular file in Movie Maker, it appears as being only 60 seconds of time. Jump forward on the timeline, I see all 30 minutes of material is there. Is this some kind of glitch in MM? Other files on the disk appear normal.

It seems that each of the disks I burned one or two files like this. Is there anything I can do to fix the length of these?

It may be interesting to try to convert the VOB file to the
Before you import into Movie Maker WMV format.

There are many programs that can do conversions...

Next, after the download and installation of Format

left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.
(this is where you find your files after they)
    are converted)

Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

Select "all to WMV" / OK...

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

    That should do it...

Also... VLC Media Player has a free software
