• Why extend a layer of file or adjustment lead to 20 seconds waiting time?

  Have a problem with the new PP, updated recently and now whenever I lay down a layer of setting, file, or anything (not sure if it's the right terminology, but when you want to make a clip a little longer, you just to click on the side and stretch it a bit)-the wheel appears and takes about 20 seconds to understand. It is a really basic editing tool, and wait for 20 seconds every time I need to change the duration of a clip or the layer is really annoying! Any suggestions? All other tools seem to work fine without delay, even with reading, no problem.

• View files without adjustment

  There is probably (hopefully) a simple solution for this, but I can't seem to find the answer.  I made a few adjustments to photos using Photoshop and ACR.  These adjustments are recorded and noted in bridge such that I view the files. I would like to be able to view the file of origin within Bridge, as I browse through the photos.  It is child's play in ACR (abbreviation Q) and I use it as I am post processing of the photo.  But I wish I could turn settings on and off as I see the photos in Bridge.  Is this possible?

  I don't think it's possible. The only solution I can think of is to place all the files xmp side car in a folder separated - if they are not integrated. In this way, you can view the original files, but have the changes by simply moving the xmp files back into the folder with the images.

• Adjust overall color of the process used in multiple files open at the same time?

  I often draw series of illustrations (maps) using the same overall color of the process and later to adjust the value of the color in all the files.

  In previous versions of Illustrator I just all the open files and adjust the color values in a single file and all other files automatically got the same values and could still be saved.

• Importing older RAW Camera Raw adjusted files with XMP sidecar

  When I import CR2 (Canon RAW) files that have XMP files to their sides in my Lightroom 4 catalog, Lightroom reads correctly in XMP files image adjustment and guide them as parameters for development for the newly imported photos. That's how I expected to be. Lightroom assigns old version of process to these files, as it should.

  A small question, I however: once I imported all these CR2 files in my collection, it is safe to delete all these sidecar XMP files immediately? I guess that Lightroom saves all development parameters in the file catalog at the time of importation, and that XMP sidecars are no longer needed. Is this correct? Or what I need to enter the mode to develop with each file first, before you delete the XMP in order to make the old settings to "stick"?

• read several off file lvm 2D arrays

  for the acquisition of my data, I join three tables 1 d in a 2D array. I then record several of these paintings in a file of lvm 2D, until she is larger than 500 KB. Here, I got her 'write to measure' express VI. When I'm reading the data, I have a problem:

  I don't really know which way you want to read the data.

  Do the different 2D picture belong together, which means that table 2 is just a continuation of the first?
  If this is the case, you can select 'Segment Headers' > 'No headers' in VI 'Write to file measure. "

  Then, select "File as read": read generic text file and adjust settings accordingly.

  Use the function 'Now read file' to test the settings.

  In addition, you may need to modify the indexes for the table to Index in your VI.

  However, this method has the obvious drawback of losing the header information.

  Alternatively, you can save the data in a PDM file, instead of a file of lvm. Here the headers are treated better.

  Select 'Header only' in the writing to the file of the measurement. When your then read the data, it will automatically read all the data.
  And you keep at least the first header information.

  If each 2D table should be read separately, you must use a different approach. Please let me know, if this is the case and that I will explain later.

  With IE8, under Windows7 RC, in a Web page there is a link such as: http://.../file.wmv
  If I click on it, an error page appears immediately, saying: Internet explorer cannot display this webpage.
  A more detailed description of the error is on 'lost internet connectivity' or 'error in the link' etc...
  But if I just right click on the LINKet "save under", the wmv downloads file be saved and opens and play flawlessly in default WMP.
  The system has just WMP as a player, configured with the default settings, I rechecked.
  I have the same problem on another machine with IE8 on Vista with Divx and VLC Player (but all by default WMP) installed

  I found reports of similar problems on the internet, but really no identification of true and the solution of this problem (just the usual platoon 'use firefox!' or 'download winamp!' comments..)

  You must move the file catalog to computer 2 and ensure that the hierarchy of folders for the photos is EXACTLY the same on the 2nd computer as it is on the first computer.

  I guess just because you have not provided a lot of information, but most likely, you try to create the adjustment layer in the Menu file, without having to focus on the project Panel. If you select the project Panel, and then file > New > adjustment layer must be available. You can also create the adjustment through the new button layer in the project Panel.

  Reader can be used only to display files pdf so you can not perform any operation on it.

  If you have Acrobat, then you can go to Acrobat > save as other > reduced pdf file

  You can also go to Acrobat > save as other > optimized pdf and then click on "Use of space Audit" button to know what takes up space in the pdf file and adjust accordingly.

  Assume that you have an application that uses a Web Service data control. The URL of the WSDL file will be hard coded in the connections.xml (indicated by DataControls.dcx). But of course, during the deployment in a different environment (from dev, in tst, in ACC, in production), this hard-coded URL will be replaced by the corresponding environmental WSDL document. My idea was to solve this problem using Ant.

  where @connection @ is an Ant token, which can be replaced by the Ant in the relevant environment. For example, MyWebServiceDC_dev, MyWebServiceDC_tst, MyWebServiceDC_prd etc.
  
  The same issue if you use a Web Service Proxy: the URL of the Web Service is hard coded into the generated Java files, so I would like to change the location of this URL using ANT instead of having to do it by hand.

  Yes, there is no real way to do this automatically. Usually, what I do is to keep a copy of the shadow of these files in a separate Directory. Any time one of the files changes, I have a copy in the shadow directory and either do one of two things:

  (1) replace all values specific to the environment with chips
  (2) create specific versions to the environment of the files with the appropriate values.

  Then, in the ANT script, you can do this:

  (a) copy the original files somewhere safe (temp directory).
  (b) copy the tokenised files or specific to the environment to the correct location
  (c) use on the tokenised file if it was your approach
  (d).
  (e) deliver the original files.

  This is a hack, but that's life.

  Hi, I feel that I am doing should be easy, but I can't understand it.

  I have a set of files that I want to apply the same set of adjustment layers for.  I opened one of the images, created adjustment layers and tweaked the settings until I was happy.  Now, I would like to create an action that would apply to this set of layers of multiple files in batch mode.  I understand that if I save my creation of adjustment layer, I could play again it, but I did not save - I have a set of layers (I even saved them in a separate file), but no way to retrace my steps.  I could do all of this by hand by duplicating my group of adjustment layers for files that I opened, but I can't find a way to automate this.  Any help?

  Without script, is to record down the settings in the form of files. Adjustment settings can be saved to the bottom of in any adjustment dialog box or Panel using "Save Preset". Your Action then must load in these adjustments, one at a time from your drive. Another way is just to record step by step the creation of all settings. But it is not as easily adaptable.

  This lack of capacity is a huge problem in Photoshop actually. The process of batch adjust images, or combining images in general should be MUCH easier than it is in stocks.
