Save and reuse adjustment layers

Hi, I feel that I am doing should be easy, but I can't understand it.

I have a set of files that I want to apply the same set of adjustment layers for.  I opened one of the images, created adjustment layers and tweaked the settings until I was happy.  Now, I would like to create an action that would apply to this set of layers of multiple files in batch mode.  I understand that if I save my creation of adjustment layer, I could play again it, but I did not save - I have a set of layers (I even saved them in a separate file), but no way to retrace my steps.  I could do all of this by hand by duplicating my group of adjustment layers for files that I opened, but I can't find a way to automate this.  Any help?

Thank you

Vladimir

Without script, is to record down the settings in the form of files. Adjustment settings can be saved to the bottom of in any adjustment dialog box or Panel using "Save Preset". Your Action then must load in these adjustments, one at a time from your drive. Another way is just to record step by step the creation of all settings. But it is not as easily adaptable.

This lack of capacity is a huge problem in Photoshop actually. The process of batch adjust images, or combining images in general should be MUCH easier than it is in stocks.

  • Automatic selection and ignore adjustment layers?

    Hi all

I use some photoshop files quite massive with lots of layers for architectural visualization. Is there a way I can disable the automatic selection to select adjustment with masks layers?

then when I ctrl click on a layer, select the raster / smart object layer, not a random mask over the top on my layer stack?

I hope that there is as it would allow me to save a lot of time! and maybe my mental health.

I think you can have clear auto SELECT and use the layers palette to target the layer. The layers palette is equipped with filters that can help you manage this, when you have a lot of different types of layers.

  • Save and reuse the ldap session

    Hello!

I have an app with the LDAP authentication scheme custom - I wrote custom authentication and it works very well.
After authentication, on a button click I have need to do a few other requests to my Active Directory (dbms_ldap.search_s). AD do not accept anonymous requests, so I need new initialization of ldap_session and then do simple_bind_s - but apex does not save the password to the user after authorization!

My question is: can I save the ldap_session value returned by dbms_ldap.init in my authentication and use it later?
I tried to put the function of authentication in the package, and then save ldap_session value in a public variable to the package, but I found that this package initialized twice: authentication, and once again, when I try to use this value. And I get nothing in the second.

    Sorry for my English.
    Thank you, nail.

Why not try these other options variable public instead of package:
    1. use an application using: SAMPLE_APP_ITEM or & SAMPLE_APP_ITEM.
2 use a custom table to store the value from the id of the session of the Summit and recover when you want to reuse

  • Save adjustment layers

I know that you can save as preset adjustment layers. Is it possible to include the settings of Blend Modes and opacity with the adjustment layer? (Similar to the way in which you can save layer styles.) (I'm under PS CS5.1)

You will probably have to record an action to include certain frameworks such as opacity and blending modes.

  • Can I copy the image adjustments in another image if I didn't not use layer styles and adjustment layers in Photoshop?

I have several photos captured in similar conditions and have already adjusted one of the photos for my taste. I am a complete newbie and have just read layer styles and adjustment layers and did not them you use while editing. I simply clicked on the Image > adjustments and went from there. Would be really nice if there was a way I could 'redo' these adjustments on the other photos that I stupidly forgot precise adjustments I made. Is this possible? I use Photoshop CC 2014.

Sorry but no, this is not possible. It was possible, if you had used adjustment layers instead of making the adjustment directly on the image.

Using adjustment layers is the best way forward: it is non-destructive; It can always be changed later or even completely deleted, and he has a mask that allows you to restrict the adjustment on the only parts of the image. And it can be saved for later reuse...

Just as the title suggests, how to save a project that I specifically do an outro and reuse it with a completely new project? is it possible to transfer or save it in a file? I'm stuck. Thanks guys/girls

You can import all types of assets such as the sequences of other projects via the media browser.

Simply put the outro in a separate sequence for easy access.

Another way is to export the outro in a lossless format if it does not adjust as text needing to be changed

  • Photoshop and adjustment layers

Is it possible to import Photoshop adjustment layers for use in a Premiere Pro CS6 editing window?  This may open options for the color adjustment.

No, not in the sense that you want to import. Adjusmtent layers on the front are really video clips (default black video) that are anebled to apply video effects from first to some hidden under clips. Photoshops effects nor their adjustment layer types are applicable to the PrPro media.

You can import Photoshop layers, as highlighted the previous poster, but they are just treated as files separate image at this time. It's a good idea but...

  • Storage in bins adjustment layers

My apologies for what may be a stupid question, but I try to keep the adjustment layers in a tray and manage.
I am putting a layer of setting on a clip on the timeline and then apply several effects of color correction. I then try to drag this adjustment layer, with the applied effects, in a tray, so to use on a very similar clip much later in the timeline.
When I go to drag the location adjustment layer and turn it back on for the timeline, he has kept one of the effects that I applied to it.
    Thanks in advance,

    Gary

The "adjustment layer' in the project manager Panel is simply essential, a placeholder. It does not store all that done to a layer that is applied to an element. It was built this way so we can do in a project and keep dragging on the timeline for use on other clips, rather than ' Point/adjustment layer' every time.

It was a weird solution, but it's one that came.

What you need to do with the effects that you applied to an adjustment layer is to select the adjustment layer, and then proceed the effect controls panel, select one or more of the effects that you want to keep for reuse, and then go three horizontal lines to the right of the title on the tab control, click on... Save as preset.

Preset name and now it's in your presets bin in the effects Panel, in the lower left corner of the PrPro.

Now... make drag & drop an A - L on an item, then make drag & drop preset on it... simple, right?

  • No provision of adjustment layers

When I open a RAW file in lightroom and then use the 14 items as an external editor (using the command change to starting from Lightroom) menu to add adjustment layers is not available (grayed out).

Items opens the file from Lightroom in TIFF format.

Trying to save the file in different formats (e.g. PSD) but this has no effect layer commands are still unavailable.

If I open the same file directly with 14 elements via dialogue BELIEVED then menu layer is available.

The two programs are the most recent and updated versions to update from today April 17, 2016.

    Any help appreciated.

I'm going to guess that Lightroom sends a 16-bit file to PES.  A significant restriction to post-secondary studies is that there is limited with 16-bit files.  PES, through RAW ACR dialog box, probably open it as an 8-bit file.  I don't remember if you can change it from 16 bit to 8 bit in PSE or if you must configure LR before export.

  • Combining adjustment layers

    Hello!

I ve since photoshop for years and early I m now with sequelae.

    My question is.

Is it possible to merge or group of different adjustment layers in order to save the effect to be used later in first?

I want to do it because I had the look I wanted to with different adjustment layers but I can just put an effect at once, and I would record all together

keep the appearance of these adjustment one behind the other layers.

Thank you very much in advance

    Egido

N ° unfortunately you can't save layers in the predefined animations. Just the stream property data (effects, masks, and other parameters). In any case and it is a strictly personal observation, people go all crazy about using adjustment layers and seem to have totally forgotten that effects can be applied to any layer directly. So rather than fiddling around with useless external layers, try to achieve your results in a stack of effects, and then save the entire stack in a "Preset".
