    Hi Thbrady,

The .cda file format is not supported by windows media player. You may need to make use of a third party application for converting .cda to a format supported by the Director file.

. MSWMM is the extension of this file is a Movie Maker Project file...
useful on the computer that created for a re-release in Movie Maker

Sounds like when you imported the video copy of your friend of

If your friend still has the actual video file ask... for this file or reopen

    =========================================
I was wondering what version of Windows are you using? XP, Vista, 7

Sorry... but with the .mov files, the conversion is the only solution.

Here is a way to convert online so that you won't have to
    Download and install a software:

Try the following free online Converter:

    Media-Convert
    http://media-convert.com/

    Apple Quicktime conversion instructions

    (1) in the field "File"... click on "Browse".
button and navigate to the .mov file you
you want to convert. When you select the
file... the path will appear in the field "File".

    (2) the "Input format" field should automatically
show... Let it 'Apple Quicktime (.mov)'
    as it is...

    (3) "output size" has two windows...
does not display the field on the left, "no video".
    PRESET"... leave it as what...

    (4) in the next to move to the right window
You can choose the format you want
    convert... try:

    Windows Media Video (.wmv)

    (5) on the left, click on the blue * OK button.
(sometimes the site is busy... If the conversion fails... try again)

Now... wait as the file to be converted.
    (be patient)

Once the conversion is completed, you will see:

    File converted successfully!

Your file will appear right of a little green
... left click on the file name... save it as
... appears on the left, click on the "Save" button.
Choose a folder to save in (I always download)
on my desk)... on the left, click on the "Save" button.

When the file is downloaded, you should be able
to play with Windows Media Player and it should
    be compatible with Movie maker.

    That's all! Good luck.

  • Windows Movie Maker-how can I change the file format?

It's my first time using Movie Maker, and I edited a song from my iTunes library. I want to save it in mp3 format, but when I saved it, it wouldn't let me choose the file format. I went to the post, and he published automatically as a video. I just want the audio.

How can I save it in mp3 format?

Also, how can I open with iTunes? I managed to do save as just audio and click Open with > iTunes. But he comes to open iTunes. The song won't play.

PS Movie Maker is not for the recording of the songs, conversion of songs, etc. It is open with application.

For files of music itumes, here are the choices...
    1. you need Quicktime or Real player to open and play.
    2. you can google for a free audio converter and convert your itumes songs in wma, mp3 or wav formats. Then, you can use Windows Media Player (NOT movie Maker) to play the songs.
    3. install a free media player called VLC. He plays almost all formats.
    Download link of VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

You give you the exact instructions forum music and sounds.

    ·        What codec you have installed?

You can uninstall the codec programs & features & reinstall it back & check if the problem persists.
