Film making

I was told that Director is not supported by Windows 10, so what software should I use. Want something easy to patch set of small video clips from my camcorder and burn them on dvd. Anyone has any experience with FEATURES and I could use Videolan so he could burn on dvd?

Post proposed by the facilitator for the appropriate forum placed

Yes, you can burn DVDs using Windows Movie maker. Follow Volunteer Jinstructions on how to do so by following this link.

The main reason as to why a representative you notified is because the Windows Essentials 2012 will be is no longer supported by Microsoft come January 10, 2017.

  • Video compilation of film Making. Import help

I'm new on Premiere Pro and editing in general.  I would like to make a compilation of video that uses scenes from different movies.  My sources will be different hi def of MP4 and MKV and AVI from the film for themselves.

When I import a movie in the first it goes through a process long "comply" and since I intend to use the various movies 20-30 I wonder if there is a better way to go about it.  Is there a way to cut the clips I want movies first or another program and then just import the parts I will be using rather than having 30 full movies imported into my project?

.. .wonder if there is a better way to go about it.

Is there a way to cut the clips I want movies...

Not really... First is built to "snip clips.

If you plan to use pieces of 30 films, import them all,

allow sufficient time for all audio to complete compliant.

After that, it shouldn't be a concern.

  • The Macbook Pro 13 "is good for making movies

    Hi all

I would like to know wheter or not the MacBook Pro 13 "is strong enoughfor film making, I want to use movie making applications and all... I aspire to edit videos short and simple I will upload later on social media. I saw the presentation of the MacBook Pro on the Apple site and I noticed that when talking about the film to do things, they only mention the 15 "... and I had a few doubght.

To say, I want to buy the MacBook Pro 13 "retina, i7, 16 GB, ssd 550 with a 256 GB of storage.

    Thank you for your help.

It depends on this kind of filmmaking. Model 15-inch more expensive is the only one with an independent graphics card and will be able to manage better than all other models rendering tasks. If your movie is CGI intensive, you can consider the 15-inch model. If your film is essentially practical, 13 inches could possibly do with simplest post-editing and CGI, but may take longer. If you make a great movie, you can also consider a larger storage capacity as videos tend to take place. View a comparison of the two products on the Apple website here.

  • Still images with film

    Hello

I have an AVCHD project with the following attributes (screenshot)

    attributes.jpg

I will record it with the following properties: copy the MP4 - H264 1920 x 1080 24 to 50 fps before re-import in MP4 format to edit and burn a DVD folder on my hard drive in PAL_Widescreen_Dolby DVD.

Before that, I intend to drag still images from 30 + to the timeline that I hope make a slideshow. The idea is that the movie appears after the slide show on the same standard DVD.

Given the dimensions of the film, making my pictures must be of a specific size and resolution, or are they considered two separate
projects even though on the same DVD? The purpose of the photos and the film is exactly the same thing. At present, all the photos, which are unpublished, would have the following dimensions: 96 DPI, 2448px x 3264px (some landscape, portrait).

    Thank you very much

    Steve

    SteveH59

From what you wrote, your destination of project is PAL DVD-VIDEO wide screen on a DVD disc.

When you import a file into the project, i.e. predefined project together should correspond to the properties of the source file imported so that you have the correct space in editing for editing area monitor. In your case, you want a space of 16:9 1920 x 1080 in the monitor of this project.

    1. you say you want a 1920 x 1080@50 progressive frames per second source. If the best the project preset should be set accordingly to match the properties of the file.

    Therefore

    The project preset

    PAL

    AVCHD

    HD1080p50

All this can and is done when a regular DVD burner is part of the computer environment. No Blu - ray writer involved in all this.

Export is another matter. As long as you keep the elongation (import and export) compatible (16:9 16:9), you will be OK.

    2. This is now a project of 16:9, for a burn to 16:9 in with the good burn predefined for PAL DVD VIDEO widescreen (DVD PAL_Widescreen_Dolby).

    3. do not forget in this process, the program will take your 1920 x 1080 at 50 progressive frames per second in a format the disk which is described 720 x 576 16:9 @ 25 frames per second interlaced. Burn that screening is not adjustable by the user. Always been like that. When the player gets this DVD disc, it interprets the 16:9 flag so that it stretches the video at about 1050 x 756 16:9 for display on your TV DVD player.

Please let me know if you're OK with the above. If this isn't the case, please indicate where I need to clarify.

    Thank you.

  • How to export iMovie to external hard drive?

Being a novice in the film making, I managed to import my first interview in iMovie, but it was recorded in iPhoto/iCloud and what I need is to become if I remove it from my MacBook to my external hard drive. I managed to do a new library on the hard disk, but not to settle the iMovie. Can I delete iMovie and start again from the camcorder? Thanks in advance.

To move your project to the new library project and in the project on the project window mouse click and click the circle with points. Select this option to move the project and library on the EHD. Note the EHD should be in MAC OS Extended journaled format.

  • AVI codecs in Windows Movie Maker version 6.0 (Build 6000)

    Windows Vista Edition Home Premium
I have worked on videos of music in WMM6.0 for a while now.  When I started a year ago, I could import the AVI formats without problem whatsoever.  Then one day, without any changes to the program or the video itself, my imported videos filmed vignettes in "AVI" boxes and were deleted from my calendar.  I tried to play on their return, but all that worked was the audio.  The video had been cleared.  They had worked before if.
Now, when I try to open the AVI I no longer get the dreaded audio box "AVI" or an error message saying that I should download the appropriate codec.  I scoured the internet looking for the codec I need, but nothing is.  On many sites, I have been told that the box "Download codecs automatically" in the tools of--> Options--> Legeneralonglet verified.  But I don't even have a checkbox with this title in ONE of the tabs Options.
I tried to download the latest version of WMM, as was suggested to me, but instead of download the AVI, he found himself by removing the other clips (.wmv) who had managed to survive the other version, by saying that they were not compatible either.
I removed this version of WMM and returned to WMM6.0 and downloaded the Windows Media Encoder (which was meant to convert AVI to WMV, which works on this version), but apparently to convert a file need you the codec for AVI.  I even tried to import the AVI file, and then place it in the timeline and try to save it as a .wmv, because a friend with the same problem said it had worked.  But, as I said, when these clips have been placed in the timeline, in the register only under the "audio" plus name.  The video is not the same.
Oh and I also tried to download a pack of codecs of microsoft.com, but they had them only for Windows XP and Windows 2003, and they would not move on Windows Vista.
I'm desperate here!  I fought with it for almost a year, and I really can't work properly at work or school without being able to use my WMM correctly.  Help, please!

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers forum.

I'm sorry to hear that you have so much trouble with the realization of your movies.  It really looks like that you must download and install a codec pack for the types of files you are using.  There are a lot of third party sites out there that offer, some are free, and some are buying.  The best place to find this information is usually the forums frequented by others who are really into film making.  They can tell you the best sites for the best codecs and codecs for.  This being said, here are a few sites that I have heard are safe and offer a wide variety of codecs, but also a forum which has some very knowledgeable film gurus.

What have I done? I tried to return to normal on the way to restore and I did this over several times, but I get an error of a specified (0xc0000022) so I can't undo what I did. > ICONS for applications that can get to the Internet when opening, change their appearance and are now default to the movie, do or photo gallery

If these icons are on the desktop...

    1. very easy step-left click on the desktop (not on an icon) and then press the F5 key

    2. If the #1 did not help...

Right-click on the desktop > Personalize > display > display settings > avancΘs > monitor > colors. Change the colors of another value - for example. 32-bit to 16-bit. So yes you want to keep these settings, click on apply. Back to monitor > colors and return to the original (probably 32-bit) value

That solve the problem of the icon?

  • On Mac computers, they have a program called IMovie... is there something like this for Windows 7?

On Mac computers, they have a program called IMovie... is there something like this for Windows 7? If yes where can I find it? Thanks a bunch! I'm new to these forums, hope so I ask in the right place!

    Original title: film making program

Yes, you are in the right place.

So that in my view not as powerful as iMovie, you can download the following Windows Essentials to add applications such as Movie Maker, Messenger and SkyDrive Photo Gallery on your computer.

  • Project will render with ' I-Frame only MPEG.

Hey Adobe, I'm writing this at your request.

I already used to have an old Intel Core2 chip system.

I improved it so that my video editing life would be faster.  I have a new motherboard with a new intel I7-4770 3.5 GHz chip. same memory (16 GB-1600), card graphics, hard drive, DVD player, etc...

On the system Core2, video projects that I've worked on everything worked well. I mainly use a Sony Z5 to film making. M2T files.

On my old system, first running it CC to ALL WORK - no problem, but on the new construction, it blocks every time THAT I try to return with "error compiling Movie - unknown error.

After FOUR hours on the phone with your tech in India media, they came up with a workaround. I insist - it's a workaround, not a solution.

They concluded that if I changed the order to be "Customized" and then selected "Microsoft AVI" (any Codec, any) as the only preview instead of "I-Frame MPEG" File Format so Yes - it makes.

The tech told me that it was because "M2T" files were fussy and had to be treated in this way.

    FAKE!

If this * needed * to be the case, then why it worked already on my old system without any problems?

Also, if I take a project that hangs on my Office PC and copy on my laptop, turn off first on my desk and turn on my laptop and run in there... IT MAKES FINE, using the single 'I - Frame MPEG' setting.

Also, I shot some videos with a Nikon D5100, who produced full HD. MOV clips, * AND THE SAME PROBLEM STILL OCCURS * when rendering on my desktop PC and does that when I change the preview File Format to be ' Microsoft AVI - so it is not related to the. M2T video file type.

So I can make things, but ultimately it's an and not a solution, as when I finished with a project and want to check out I do then in export and choosing "Match sequence settings", with Microsoft AVI is selected, he wants so of course export it to an AVI file, which I'm not - I want to 25mbps MPEG which is the original format/quality he has been shot to export it.  When I try and do it with "I-Frame only MPEG", selected as the type of sequence - you guessed, Media Encoder crashes

So.  Why i-Frame only MPEG works on a single machine (my laptop), but on my main machine (office) that I want to use, it does not work? This piece of software/codec/file I am missing?

-J' installed from a clean build of Windows

-J' I deactivated and reactivated first CC

-J' uninstalled first CC and reinstalled

-J' uninstalled all the programs cloud CC and reinstalled the

    -J' ran CC cleaner too

-J' have the latest video drivers for my graphics card (this is the same graphics card that works great on my old system anyway, is not the question)

-J' have all Windows/Admin permissions. It's not a permissions issue

Please do not suggest one of these options.  None of them work.  I need someone who understands your software and know that i-Frame only MPEG is to be able to tell me why it does not work on my system.  I'm now past the stage of anger (because I've lost several days worth of worktime - and so money) and be upset (because it's massively frustrating when something that worked before now is not) and now I'm just to the point to be confused than anyone he can seem to tell me what is happening here and how to solve.

    Thank you very much

    Geoff.

So it seems that have been resolved.  (I had already tried disabling, reactivation and had not worked).

The useful tech I spoke in India over a week he thought there could be something to an incorrect driver for my audio (a new motherboard with audio integrated).  However, the site of the manufacturer (ASUS) motherboard, insisted the audio driver / correct later, I had and I had already done that.

However, I discovered that when I ran a "tell me if my drivers are all up to date on my system!" program (to see if I was missing something else), he insisted that I was not running the latest audio driver.  Intruiging!  So I went directly to the website Realek: (who do the audio chip)and dug around there, and I found a driver much more up-to-date that installed fine.

As well! "scan driver" program was also kind enough to point out that I had not installed the Service Pack 1 for Windows 7.  He couldn't be... could that be?

So I downloaded and installed the SP1, then restarted.  Charge of a project, and... wow! Finally. All of this is made without crashing.

So make your choice - or the latest audio driver, or SP1 for Windows 7 or a combination of both - does the job.

SP1 really updated the system codecs MPEG to make it work? It would be nice to know for sure if that's what it was it fixed.   And what this mysterious "i-Frame" codec overview is that I had never heard of the head of all these hassles.   And I'm always irritated that no one (INCLUDING myself!) does not check SP1 earler...  Duh.

However.  I was able to perform a job today...

  • Menu button linked text and images

    Hello

I am currently a student run Digital Film Making and at this stage we are taught how to use DVD Studio Pro. We currently create that when you have a button selected (but not active), it will display an image and text in this menu telling you a little bit what this button will link to menus, of course, when you move the text to a different button and the image will change. I'm trying to achieve this in again no one knows if this is possible and if so how?

    See you soon,.

    Gordon

Still does not provide a simple version of this technique. You can simulate it by having the autoactivate button and go to a menu with only the image/text you want different duplicate.

I suspect many users would like this as a feature in Encore. He is asked about often.

  • Is there anyone there? I need help

I am really frustrated. I moved from GoLive to Dreamweaver, when I recently bought a new Mac. It was that I could easily insert a quicktime with hand coding file very little. It seems impossible now. It seems the only wayt for it via the hand coding and does not need to pay another couple of hundred dollars for a special application for this. Is there an easier way similar to GoLive to simply insert a quicktime on a HTML file?

I was dead in the water here for 2 weeks trying to do.

I'm not clear about what anyone is actually using or on this forum - seems that posts are few and far between and visits by our users are all too rare. Hello - anyone?
    -------
FYI - I posted a question about a work around for a problem I found using DW on 3/26. There is no answers posted to that. On the Apple forums, I received some suggestions and examples of code, but here there was no answer at all. After my experience here - in contrast to the Apple forums, I've deduced that - as with the other technical forums - there are probably very few users floating around here.

I'm not familiar with the alternative method to participate in these forums mentioned in this thread, because I generally don't spend much time on the forums, period.

I found the answer in the docs DreamweaverLive posted in this thread.
It is regrettable that what was easy in GoLive as a harder finish in Dreamweaver. At any length, thanks for the info.

For those like me who work mainly in the film - making of the movies clips vs, et al. for the web, many of us know much more than Flash QTime.

  • Windows Movie Maker - try to change your published movie, import songs from computer used in the previous film.

to import the music that is on the computer used in an old file to windows movie maker, all other music on computer can be imported except the songs used before, uncertain, why is this? I also wanted to see if I can edit the published video so that I can make a template by making a second copy of it to edit photos?

You should be able to re - upload the music you previously
used in Movie Maker from the original location.

If you still see the music in the film Collection pane
Manufacturer and can not use the view is a good chance that it
has been moved or deleted from the original location.

If there is a X... Red try, right click and see if you
can navigate to the current location of the music file
    and restore the path.

Movie Maker does not archive copies of your source files...
It simply records the path to the original location.

If the published video is a. The video file WMV... it's not
more editable in Movie Maker. But you can import
and use it in the same way as you would for any other video file.

If you still have the. MSWMM Movie Maker project file...
It would be re-editable if all source files are always
    available.

If you don't have the. The WMV video file, and you want to
change photos... you will need to create a new project.

  • MSWMM will not open WMM films.

I don't get if so many people have it wrong, why it is not resolved.  I'm making the movie in windows movie maker, so I don't quite understand why he does not stay with the WMM format.  I had so much fun, making these now I can't send them to friends.

Appropriate for this matter is section Picrures and videos:
    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistapictures/threads

    > I don't quite understand why he does not stay with the WMM format

    Something you should know...
If you click on "publish" on the left side of the window movie maker, the film will be released in wmv format. No format of wmm.

If you click file, then click on save the project slot, the movie will be saved as MSWMM.
MSWMM is NOT a finished project. It is supposed to be re-imported back the movie maker for the final assembly and then on "post."
You do not play MSWMM. It is not because he is not a finished project and it has not been published. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.
